Like I said I used Crippling sweep too (i guess you didn't see that?) , and i've been using it more for RA particularly with kiters and its working out great. Although with the MMs and spirits in FA, banishing is pretty stellar and spammable.

Also in RA, I've also used D/N with (4) changed to plague touch, for getting all the blind off me. Or should I just leave that to the monk on our team?

To be honest the D/W sword ebon dust is sick utility.

one eda per 10 avatars of grenth.

praying for no derv teams is like screwing for virginity, basicaly (and those still stomp derv teams as long as competent ppl play the roles).

Ok, I tried something out and it seemed to work alright, seemed fun and versatile for RA standards...it's a hammer derv with Onslaught so bear with me:

10 Wind Prayers
11 Mysticism
12 Hammer

Staggering Blow
Fierce Blow
Heavy Blow
Optional
Vow of Piety
Harrier's Grasp
Onslaught
Res Signet

I thought the optional would be Aura Slicer or Mystic Sweep, Slicer gives cracked armor and takes adrenaline, Mystic hits harder and faster. I accidentally kept Heart of Fury in that spot when I played it the first time. We went to 10+ that round so go figure.

Cripples, bonus armor, ridiculous Onslaught buff, deep wound, kd, bit of regen and condition removal, sounded like a good idea.

Been in RA for the past week... And it's lol how often you find 3-4 derv teams, ALL with the same set of skills. AoG isn't really the best option when you still have WS, EDA and PR- I hope AoG is nerfed a tiny bit.

Wouldn't it be more logical to clamor for a nerf to "WD, EDA and PR-" if they are all superior to AoG?

Depends. I see more people using AoG regardless of EDA's OPness. Either they're stupid or they think it's stronger...

Lifesteal and no need to hunt out an Ebon mod or conversion skill.
AoG scares me more than the other elites being brought to RA at the moment, but I usually roll a Nec or Ele in RA and hence most physicals don't frighten me.

But EDA blinds foes for just more than half the time, at a larger AoE range than BSurge and it's un-interruptible. How's AoG better?

Aura of thorns, Aura Slicer, Gash, Twin Moon Sweep, Heart of Fury, Fleeting Stability, Ebon Dust Aura, Res sig.

10 sword, 12+1+1 earth, 8+1 myst, 2 scythe.
You can drop down sword by 1 and take harriers haste with 5+1 wind.

This build is about as overpowered as it gets, received lots of rage whispers from other melee's while getting a 25win streak

I never said it was, I just implied that the lifesteal made it more popular.
And as a Nec, I found AoG with Grenth's Aura more threatening than anything else thrown at me.

AoG has the highest damage and that's why it is all over observer at the moment, and copied into RA. It's only the lack of RC monks that makes the condition spreaders more dangerous in RA, except to the foul feast necros a few of you are playing.

Default Question & Tips

Haven't tried this yet since it just popped into my head. I also have no attirbute spread, but I was thinking of weapons switching and the new reaper's sweep. D/W, build up adrenaline with a spear (if all goes well) and then use Rending Aura ---> Reaper --- > escape-switch ---> steelfang slash ---- > knee-cutter ---> balthazar's aura, rinse repeat.

Any logic/potential in that?

I thought about RS too, and the first thing that popped into my mind was something similar to the BB war lol . Precast rending.. build adren -> hof -> reapers -> falling spider-> DeathBlossom/Twisting -> falling lotus -> blades of steel , then recast rend -> and repeat ,then mini spike..

Though... i'm sure an A/D would output way more damage.. but no ias... so im not sure how viable the chain is. With the derv you have ias but can't screw it up, the window is very small. I've tried it, and it's fun, just building the adren is a pain.

Anyways that aside, I'm liking the D/W EDA build posting earlier, though it i seem to have pretty bad luck in RA, i keep running to almost all caster teams.

I do believe at the moment though that bringing some assassin combo + critical def + anti blind skill is one of the best choice to counter constant unluck ( i.e no monk , ranger only here to rupt rez sigs , blind etc..)and to still provide correct damage . You also need to hope no blood nec though , but it's still a best solution since , whatever your melee damage build is , a blind melee with no support is useless.

Thus, i didn't care enough on it at the moment , but maybe some form of melandru dervish with mirage cloak could be interesting too.

Off topic : let's assume people did find a way to abuse zquest and everyone did do some red resign there. Do you think they would do something ??

Sweet jesus, I just made this: (I guess i'm not the 1st, but yeah)

Devastating Hammer, Crushing Blow, Twin Moon Sweep, Yeti Smash, Flail, Sprint/Enraging, Aura of Thorns, Res Sig.

AOE cripple, AOE bleed, AOE KD, 2 unblockable hits with hammer = big domage, unblockable cover for your deep wound.
Maybe even a better linebacker than a EDA derv.

Red resign wouldn't work in RA because you don't get a point for a single win (as was the case for HB), and spawning as blue 5 times in a row (for a single point) is a 1/32 chance. Nobody gains anything, and there's no incentive to do it in the first place.

most of the people run melee, and there and not so many e-sourge mesmers, so i replaced veil for shielding hands
works sweet with q7 slashing shield

woh/patient/guardian/shielding hands/draw/rejuv sig/cure hex/discipled stance
