Well the bar I like is:

WoH
Patient
Vigorous Spirit
Draw Conditions
Spotless Mind
Contemplation of Purity
Dolyak Signet
Bonneti's Defence

But that isn't necessarily the best, there are alot of skills you can put in like holy veil, disciplined stance, balanced stance, wary stance even dark escape/return although that isn't run so much.

Don't like Bonneti's personally, just takes time to load up and i like to have my stances available on demand, even if it costs energy (I don't have time to start chucking spears at people anyway).
CoP looks a good option, given the fact that monks often get condies and hexes stacked on them in RA since so many people target the monk alone when he's present.
I can't imagine myself not having Guardian on a bar, but i'm going to give this a try anyway and see if i do any better against heavy pressure, thanks.

The things you mimic from high-level GvG players aren't necessarily good in all formats and all metas. Guardian in RA right now is a good example of this principle.

Gonna have to agree with the above. RA is chock full of anti-melee as it is; you'd probably be better off with more passive healing or another hex removal instead.

Patient
WoH
Sig of Rejuv
Vig Spirit
Bonetti's
Dolyak Sig
CoP
Spotless Mind

This helped me to 25 and I'm a ****ing terrible Monk.

I said it less because it's a staple in high-level GvG and more because i actually love the skill.

No condition removal that can target others?

Which is why I always have to staple mending touch or assassin's remedy; cuz of monks like these. Often time I either get no monk, or two monks, and they BOTH have no condition removal!

To be fair,

Guardian in RA is awful. Any melee is easily outkited and fire eles are neutralized by shield sets. I find that sustained edenial is my current weakness; you can say to sit in a negative energy set all you like, but that doesn't stop them from e-denying you when you HAVE to go to a higher set for the cast.

I don't have a problem kiting melee myself, it's just other people who tend not to do it which adds to the pressure. Same goes for the eles. You (and I) might bother with different shield sets, but most people in RA don't.

E-denial isn't as much of a problem for me, my weapon swapping is fairly quick so sometimes they catch me on a 40\40 or staff, but mostly i manage to take the e-denial in my low set.

Oh, and after playing around with the bar a bit more, i still find the lack of condition removal to be bad, but idk. The important conditions always seem to get covered quickly which makes removing them with Dismiss extremely energy-consuming. I enjoyed playing with draw alot more and am trying to integrate that and CoP into my own bar at the moment.

Ya, but with Mind Wrack you'll be taking 90 dmg a lot. So, you'll have to switch to heal.

(Decent) Rangers' MTouch goes a long way if you at least alert them beforehand; if you're teamed with a Curse Necro any condition removal you may have is a waste of bar space.

Teams worth sticking with usually include at least one if not both of these.

a lot of guardian hate i see... i find it necessary on my monk, what these guys dont realize is its not for using it on yourself all the time....how about your wars using frenzy? it helps a ton and can save loads of energy in the long run, im just sayin... sure theres an argument for everything in guild wars(and many egos saying their way HAS to be the right way) ive experimented a lot with monks in RA(i love pvp with no wait time), and i know at least that its a necessity for ME. happy gwing!!!

I take LS over WoH, and I ALWAYS bring Guardian! I'd rather mazimize my team's effort rather than just redbar and hope for the best.

example: my warrior ally has blind + weakness? LS FTW gogo kill $h!t! If he has hexes? Spotless + VS FTW gogo kill $h!t sum moar! Onoes! I'm being spiked?! Guardian + PS + LS + VS/Bonetti's = WIN.

Summary: Restoring Functionality + Effect > Redbarring!

LS monks die like flies. You want your dear guardian and draw SO badly? Go melandru's resilience boon prot.
Seriously.

Dude, you're talking to a guy that won many, many, MANY '25-consec' wins using this very template. You're talking to a two-time Terrifying Gladiator. Now, granted it was probably a few months back since I've used a monk, all the way up to just before Mind Surge came about, where mesmers' skills became "dynamic on a Silver Platter" for newbs to use at free will! LS monks do drop to Mind Surgers, but... so does just about everyone else! They're flippin' mindlessly OPd, but w/e. They still are good, but while Mind Surge is around, monks will be running for the hills with their failed "energy-hiding" because, well... there IS NO SUCH THING.

In Summary: LS Monks are good. I understand there's no power heals, but you can make a HUGE impact on your team's performance... and again:

Restoring Functionality + Effectiveness >>>>>>> Redbarring!

"Dude", I have yet to lose to a ls monk. Even when I play a melandru's resilience boon prot vs 2 fire eles and a mesmer they'd lose ONLY because their mo would be LS.
You need the red barring power in RA. You wanna keep condis down? Take draw.
Just because you get lucky with your teammates and get 25 wins or stay in 2 monks teams doesnt mean anything.
In summary, ls is fine if you just wanna mess around, but a serious woh bar will always beat it in survivability and resilience.

On a side note, he can be glad11 for all I care. i know better than you - and him.

Last but not least, i wont even start with what an e denial mesmer would do to that bar.

I find reading RA drama funny and all, but cut it out.

Does Broad Head Arrow work well in RA? I kinda want to a run a build that shuts down monks pretty reliably.

With a snare. Any monk worth his weight will dodge it.
