These paragon templates might work but I can't see the point. Just take a primary Warrior, that will be more effective than any P/W.

Shoogi I agree a Warrior will always be more effective, I am however, looking for efficiency and whether it pays off...i.e. a warr cannot have IAS,IMS and increased adrenaline gain all at the same time and constantly, a Para can.

Hammer bash would be ideal but screws any adrenal spike delivery. Plus i imagine energy would be a bit short with more energy based attack skills.

Thoughts?
I'd run "Lead The Way!" over "Can't Touch This!".

The reason is it fills the need for Soldier's Fury AND Rush. Another thing is that you're not completely taking advantage of the hammer with only one knockdown.

Paragon could be better for DPS assuming your targets are standing still and there is no condi removal.

is bbCode still broken?

[Devastating Hammer][Crushing Blow][Heavy Blow][Bull's Strike][Purge Signet][Flail][Enraging Charge][Resurrection Signet]

regardless of the state of bbCode, that build is lovely in RA. tank out the Empathy + VoR chain, purge it, and KD the living hell out of them, starting with bull's, ending with their death.

also, that Simple Thievery build posted earlier was VERY powerful - i had fun snatching VoR, Empathy, Backfire, Wastrel's and the like while also having epic Dom mez powers (and stealing the occasional Veil/Grasping Earth/Faint)

Byron, your dead right, as much fun as it was being an efficient Para its just not effective in battle, fortress monk just laughed at me. Think I'll stick to my Scythe W/D as its providing much more amusment!

Peace out/

guys

let people post their builds now, if i see something which is way below the "standarts" i'll take care of it now. regarding Cytheria, his builds aren't terrible, leave your improvements as to how you'd change it and be done with it.

no further insults and whatnot.

if this is not going to stop this thread will die and i'll hand out some warnings to you.

you can keep on posting (non absolutely terrible) builds now. :P

I advocated DShot monking earlier in the thread, and considering all the nasty crap you see in RA, i stand by it. I run a build very similar to niek's:

12+1+1 Healing, 8+1 Divine Favor, 8 Wilderness Survival, 7+1 Prot

Patient Spirit, WoH, Draw Conditions, Guardian, Mending Touch, Holy Veil, Natural Stride, DShot.

Template: OwIU043BRMSNgaE3ECE5V1E/aPGA

take out that Recurve Bow (i carry a +5e one in my inventory) and you can spend 5 energy to prevent huge amounts of damage. If you find your team isn't under that much pressure, but is having trouble killing, then you can use it offensively on WoH/ZB/(if you're lucky and are pretty good at predicting) Foul Feast. I've found it to be a wonderfuly flexible skill, and Natural Stride is great too - kiting with a speed boost is fantastic.

So I've been getting frustrated with blocks in RA.

[build prof=w/me name="" ham=12+1+1 str=9+1 ins=9 desc=""][magehunter's smash][crushing blow][griffon's sweep][leviathan's sweep][flail][enraging charge][waste not, want not][resurrection signet][/build]

It's easy - use 'waste not' after a KD. If you are feeling bold, perhaps power drain could be used. The build is pretty bad when no blocks are involved.

Backbreaker
Awe
Pulverizing Smash
Irresistible Blow
Frenzy
Grapple
Hasty Refrain
Rez Signet

I've been having a lot of fun with this on my rit lately...

Channeling: 12 + 1
Restoration: 12 + 1 + 1
Spawning Power: 3

Mend Body and Soul
Spirit Transfer
Weapon of Warding
Offering of Spirit {Elite}
Life
Bloodsong
Warmonger's Weapon
Holy Veil

It's a good break from stance dancing as a monk.

If you don't want to stance dance as monk why do you even play fortress monk then??
Fortress monk is only for those lazy nubs that won't even try to get better anyway..
It's easier and lazier to just hit your stance than to actually guardian yourself..

Unnecessary buffs to enchantment removal skills + Shield bash being mildly OP ( not really, it just needs to fail against unblockable skills ) have made guardian a lesser choice in the TA meta. Its still good to put it on your bar for your teammates but guardian almost always gets ripped for spikes against the monk.

See, I normally monk, but that rit build has allowed to me mix it up.

Making wild blow not lose all of your adrenaline would even things up a bit. That way warriors can have a skill to end monk's stances so they can finish their chain.

i dont think we need more poorly designed overpowered unblockable skills with no drawback

tbh

Spreading the damage so the monk goes bananas evens things up even more, after all he's only a healer (speaking of 4vs4 here). Don't mess with wild blow or disaster will ensue. The balance problems don't lie with warriors, they're just about scary enough.

yet is seems odd that a sin can wild stirke every other 4 sec or so, and a warrior in RA these days will prob miss 50%. the only thing good about WB is that now with WA u can have it on your bar .
other then that it has all ready been talked about, and will removing the "lose all" and maybe a longer recharge it will be fine.

Fixed that for you, but seriously, noone tells you to wail on a stance monk for the entire match. And your comparison with wild strike tells me that the WS->SA conbo is broken and needs to be toned down rather then it tells me that warriors need a buff.
