People in RA don't know how to use pets. People in RA don't know how to use skills. People in RA attack through IP, Empathy, and Spirit Shackles. People in RA don't know what a secondary profession is. People in RA don't know how to move.

Seriously, factoring in those biased opinions to make a build is not a good thing. Try ID1 RA and maybe you'll change your mind about some of those opinions.

But yeah I don't think anyone plays RA for serious business gaming, it's just for wasting time, laughs, maybe trying something different.
Are you serious? Everytime I play ID RA, I have to suppress the urge to punch my LCD in frustration. Literally every other match (and on some nights, every match) is VoR, CE, Soul Bind, Wail, FC water, hammer-lineback-you-all-game, stance monks and the occasional brave Magebane / IA. On those days you don't run into one of the above, you get a smattering of cripslash-lineback-you-all-game, WS dervishes, instagibsins, lame sin pressure templates with crit defenses, and pet-based templates (R/P, R/W) that are just overwhelmingly fail, and basically just necessitate you mash your buttons on recharge from start to finish. And if your team isn't some semblance of balanced (physical / caster mix) with exactly one stance monk, half your team is likely to resign, leave, suicide, and / or do nothing right off the bat, but not before blaming you for everything, regardless of whether there's anything to blame you for.

In completely boredom with PvE, I tried to play warrior for just one glad point, and I just couldn't manage it. The only match I spent not getting instagibbed, hexstacked, condi-stacked, or hitting eight thousand layers of stance block with one decent monk that knew how to do more than mash patient spirit and stances, and we lost an eight minute match to a two warrior, two monk setup where both hammer warriors would basically just lineback our entire team to shit if we actually put any pressure on their monks.

THAT's international RA, and it's the most fail thing EVER.

player skill level in RA has gone up. there are less noobs and more people using "good" builds. especially ID. euro districts too, somewhat. if you want easy mode RA, go play in american.

let's not discuss the quality of players in RA and the difference between districts and such, it's well known already and doesn't really need any further discussions. O_o

anyone been using mblast again?:P

Yes, I have with mixed success

[Blast Shackle;OgBDkpycO+5xaTrXA99F4CBA]

Seems to work alright, nice snare if you can get it off.

Think I saw you playing that the other day, or another mind blast ele with mark of rodgort and earthen shackles. Mind blast seems pretty good for sustained dps but you have no defense other than earthen shackles and no cover enchant. What about taking out shackles and mark of rodgort and putting in grasping earth and aura of restoration?

I Played [mind blast] with an E/A and [augury of death] with some decent success.

If I take out [[Mark of Rodgort], I'd want to inflict burning otherwise, with [[Immolate] or something.

[[Grasping Earth] is cool but you have to be close. Adding [[Aura of Restoration] is good for the cover but I've never really like the skill. Taking out the burning and adding the defensive snare kind of hurts the damage on the build.

Hey look a Rt/A (no not spirit's strength)

i used to use this build a lot before they nerfed Impale and Ancestor's Rage, but i find that it still works well. the use of [Grasping Was Kuurong] and [Nightmare Weapon] allow for good armor ignoring damage and annoys enemies with knockdown

Attributes:

Channeling: 12 + 1 + 3
Dagger Mastery: 3
Deadly Arts: 12

Equipment:

Vampiric Daggers of Fortitude (I use Shiro's Blades)
Hale Staff of Fortitude (just use it before matches to avoid vampiric degen or switch it out between attack chains or low on health)
5 Radiant Runes and 2 attunement runes- Energy Should be 42 with daggers and 52 with staff
Superior Vigor and 1 Vitae - Health Should Be 525 with staff / 495 With Daggers

[Nightmare Weapon][Falling Spider][Horns of the Ox][Impale][Signet of Toxic Shock][Grasping Was Kuurong][Bloodsong][Resurrection Signet]

Usage:

1) Precast [Grasping Was Kuurong] when the timer on the clock reaches 0
2) Summon [Bloodsong] outside aggro range of enemies
3) Before you drop the ashes cast [Nightmare Weapon] on yourself
4) Drop [Grasping Was Kuurong] and start the chain [Falling Spider][Horns of the Ox][Impale][Signet of Toxic Shock]

you can switch out [Bloodsong] with any skill of your choosing really, it was just something i put in there to replace [Ancestor's Rage] after the nerf, but just for fun here's the build before the nerf (when [Ancestor's Rage] and [Impale] had a 1/4 cast time)

[Nightmare Weapon][Falling Spider][Horns of the Ox][Ancestor's Rage][Impale][Signet of Toxic Shock][Grasping was Kuurong][Resurrection Signet]

anyways its a fun build, and when timed right is very good armor ignoring spike damage. try to time so as to interrupt major skills like [Guardian] [Woh] [Resurrection signet] etc.

MASSIVE CLEANUP AND RED BARS BAR
[draw conditions][word of healing][mending touch][signet of rejuvenation][patient spirit][holy veil][contemplation of purity][cure hex]

drawcond intelligently. spam woh, sig of rejuv and patient. mendtouch self as necessary. double hex removal for allies (possibly 3x). quadruple hex removal for self (possibly 5x. a cookie if you explain how). great for huge hexstacks/buried daze. cure hex pink arrows for a nice heal too.

strength: big red bars go up. cleans your allies a lot so they can kill shit. good self-cleanup too so less chance of fubar situation.

weakness: this build has no real defense and can be bashed to death.

no block = epic fail

well i like to do things differently; there's shitloads of stance monks in RA and what i hate about them is they're ok vs melee but cant keep the offense hex-free and die to hex overload themselves. when im on sin i ignore them and go for anything without defense, even a shock axe, and often overwhelm the woh/patient spam. the above build has more redbars power and more cleanup power, its just my preference, i dont monk much tho.

anyway, more assassin fun:

[build name="Blackened Golden Blossom" prof=A/Mo dagger=15 critical=13 protection=2 shadow=2][hidden caltrops][black lotus strike][golden fang strike][death blossom][black spider strike][golden phoenix strike][holy veil][mending touch][/build]

hidden caltrops is an awesome snare. your target is slowed for a really long time. capitalize using a combination of black and golden attacks, and unleash THREE death blossoms up their arse.

screw res sig. you can drop spider or phoenix or mendtouch tho. id rather not.

I just loved that pre-nerf AR and Impale spike. 300 dmg in a split second.

QFT

i hope i don't see that sin on my team.

only retards leave home without a res signet.

and i'll tell you why

lets say you don't bring res signet

oohhh you have pretty skill that does 30 dmg offhand attack.. pretty

lets say you do bring res signet

you have brought a fallen party member back to life, with 8 pretty skills

if you still don't get it, you should uninstall GW and jump out of your window.

i dont, because sometimes, my one skill is more game-winning than the 8 skills of some noob who is better off dead. or i kill everyone so fast that it doesnt matter my allies are dead.

All of Cytherea's builds are variations of the same garbage, seriously he's just trolling

If you want to beat the current crap

[build=OgMjklY5FT3a+aPGzG/a5V1ECAA]
[build=OQZkkIDqADgkQgHwMQBQGARQrgAA]

Spirit shackles has a lot more utility than empathy imo, it's never a priority to remove and prevents a lot of damage.

only on people who use energy based melee attacks, kinda useless on warriors and paragon who use adrenaline unless a majority of their attacks cost energy, but usually only have 1, 2 or none at all.

Edit: and the longer cast makes it more susceptible to interrupts than a 2 sec (1 sec if decent fc) empathy, especially in ra where there tend to be at least a couple interrupts per team
