Here's a great build for RA that I've found to have some great success. If you have any ideas on how to improve it, then go ahead and post them.

Note that I don't have EotN so there may be some better skills in that expnsion. If so post it please!

Latest addition to my "LOL WUT" builds folder:

5 df
10 prot
11 healing
everything else: shadow
leftover crap: deadly
[unyielding aura][guardian][healing breeze][mending touch][shadow fang][dash][dark escape][Shadow of haste]

step 1 ) Run around healing yourself and randomly enchanting teamates to give them at least something.
step 2 ) Trick random warriors/sins/dervs into actually attempting to catch you. Shadow step around as confusingly as possible.
step 3 ) UNYIELDING AURAZ X 3. occasionally cover if mez.
step 4 ) Bask in Lulz. Shout "IDIFTL"
step 5 ) Repeat steps 1-4 until either the timer ends, your team wins, or they manage to kill you.

Note: while more successful then alot of other crap out there in RA, the build is intended to be a semi-playable functional joke ( For those of you who cant already tell just by seeing Unyielding Aura). Glad points will be slow if any earned. It is for the lulz.

You can also sub shadow fang for shadow walk.

well duh, warriors is bad and doesnt do gud damages cuz i shutted them down wif my INDISUOUS PARASIGHT! lolwut

also, theorycraft:

[TPiYagon, RA style;ApBCBkpBWJYvpiVh5uJAA]

atts aren't set, it's straight off of TB. prolly 12+1+1 spear, 9+1 Leadership, 8+1 Motiv, rest in Curses to hit 2 condi breakpoint of PSending. healing and energy support for your monk, while spreading DW covered by bleeding. sac is manageable, because you're a paragon - if it's totally not manageable, just run Shell Shock, but i like the ability to lineback if you get blinded/weakened. will try when i get off my lazy ass and unlock the once-godawful TPiY!.

Hello

Woud like some opinions on two builds i'm running for fun in RA, both War and both unconventional:

1) War/Sin

[Warrior's Endurance][Burst of Aggression][Black Mantis Thrust][Wild Strike] [Death Blossom] [Exhausting Assault][Res Sig]

In my 8th slot i take [Shadow Refuge] or [Impale] or [Crippling Dagger] or [Mark of Instability]

Never have any problems with nrg of course and things die quick, but ppl sneer at Warr with daggers. Any adivce or plenty of criticsm?

Second War/Para

[Enraging Charge][Flail][Lions Comfort][Res Sig][Wild Throw][Blazing Spear][Stunning Strike][Dolyak Signet]

Now understandbly Dolyak seems stupid but its nice to be pretty unkillable and since im chuckin a spear movement isn't so important, easy application of dazed is useful but again ppl dont seem to like it due to lack of dps. I know i miss having knock downs - was running it with [[Grapple] and [[I meant to do that] for a while but too fiddly also have to be careful timing the lions comfort and signets. Again any advice would be great or criticism

Look forward to the lols, lulz or whatever.

cripslash-gash-sun and moon-disarm-frenzy-dash-heal sig-res sig

at the start you use dash to get to the enemy anti melee casters quickly and interupt their hexes like price of failure then go from there

With almost every competent monk running Mo/W fortress, Wild Throw is actually pretty useful if used properly.

you're probably right.

...

ohai i can monk too!

MASSIVE CLEANUP AND RED BARS BAR
[draw conditions][word of healing][mending touch][signet of rejuvenation][patient spirit][holy veil][contemplation of purity][cure hex]

drawcond intelligently. spam woh, sig of rejuv and patient. mendtouch self as necessary. double hex removal for allies (possibly 3x). quadruple hex removal for self (possibly 5x. a cookie if you explain how). great for huge hexstacks/buried daze. cure hex pink arrows for a nice heal too.

strength: big red bars go up. cleans your allies a lot so they can kill shit. good self-cleanup too so less chance of fubar situation.

weakness: this build has no real defense and can be bashed to death.

And isn't that only 4? Patient + Veil = 3 removed, plus Cure Hex adds up to 4. I'd like to know how you get five. (pm me even if you don't mind :P)

Monk bar with no prots and no defense, that can only be a happy ending. You know not everyone in RA is a dumbass, if they see you are using no prots on teammates they will just murder whoever is the biggest threat, especially dev hammers that can easily knock lock without a block. Honestly you'd think with all the big damage spikes people in run, RTL, SS rit, BB sin, etc. spirit bond would be a must have item.

My only guess would be a CoP removing a Preveil and Patient, then using Veil and Cure Hex. Either way, the lack of prot on that bar makes it useless

a cookie for mourne!

it's not useless... just powerheal through everything and hope ur team kills real fast. works great vs hex/cond stack teams (a lot). can deal with average physical threats. but yeah 2-3 hammers = gg.

Thanks, glad i wasn't laughed @ 2 bad, must be the whole RA syndrome.

I have though been toying with the idea of using the new vow of strength, yes it sucks if ur nme has a condition, but have you noticed how much monks are using draw on their bars nowadays? I certainly doo when monking....i believe its like up to 40% increase in your base damoge?

Seemed pretty effective with an axe, thoughts? or builds..im still struggling with the idea and Spore comes out today!!!

With a better bar, at least you could do something to it.

Video of unyielding aura build for lulz:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ0NeyUgYQw

And that monk build of cyth needs at least one block move to make it viable. Blocking in RA is ridiculously important even /a for [shroud of distress] would be better then nothing.
