12+1+1 Water
8+1 Fire (6 energy breakpoint for glowing gaze)
10+1 energy storage

I don't get why people don't run water eles much in RA, or even in TA? They own melee pretty hard and movement control is just so useful everywhere.
Why would you run glowing gaze over glyph of lesser? It's not like the damage from glowing gaze is that much, and glyph lesser lets you spam frozen burst more.

I was just trying it out for fun, honestly I should have ran glowing ice instead at least.

Needs more Shatterstone/Freezing Gust, less Shackles/Frozen Burst. I'd also like to try that bar with [skill]Slippery ground[/skill].

Slippery Ground is such a waste of a skill. You would only ever blind a melee character, and once you have he has become useless for the duration of the Blind condition. Why would you waste 5 energy on also knocking him down? if you want to shutdown someone with a KD, Gale does the job much better.

Having played and played against such a water bar, I second deleted. Slippery ground isn't that threatening to be worth the slot.

The way I see it slippery ground is like a non elite version of [wastrel's collapse]. For a target to ever not do squat for 5 seconds, they would have to be shut down with diversion or blackout - in which case the knockdown becomes a moot point because your target is already shut down. Same thing applies to slippery ground on a melee. If they are blinded, they cant do anything anyways. Its a waste of a slot.

KD is a powerful tool, regardless of whether a Warrior can hit you or not. Agreed it's probably not worth it, but a ranged KD at 5e/10r with an easy to meet condition has a fair amount of appeal.

I have started seeing a few a/ws who use (I think it's backbreaker?) then a dagger chain and it seems to do pretty good atleast for ra. So I was wondering, does anyone know the build they are running? Because usually when I play against them they can nearly instantly kill a person in the 1 combo or almost to it, but then they also get their backbreaker almost completely recharged by the time the combo is over.

Nevermind, I see it on pvx wiki and was just curious if there is any room for improvement on the build for ra.

LoL, I remember Borat saying months ago he came up with that build for HA. It has become meta now xD

Back on topic. The condition for Slippery Ground is easy to be met, but Gale is just so much better, at least on an ele bar.

Maybe EDA + Slippery ground

Why would you choose 2 skills over 1. Gale is a much better choice.

...you wouldnt take both skills simply for the KD

you take steam for the blind, but having the ability to use a no exhaustion KD with slippery doesn't seem like a bad idea to me

both situations require you to take 2 skills to achieve both a KD and a blind, so I don't see the point to what you are saying

Point is you can't KD when you want with slippery ground, you have to blind first. not a very viable tool imo.

assassins, dervish, paragons and rangers are shut down by steam alone too. Using steam on a non-melee character would be a waste of the blind condition, making slippery ground very counter-productive.

The only time Slippery Ground could ever be useful is in a (team) build with Ebon Dust, such that you could occassionally blind a caster without looking like an idiot. Otherwise you're just knocking down a blind warrior (lol?) or burning 2 skill slots to get a kd on a caster.

You do realize that Steam is only 5e and 8s cooldown? You aren't really wasting much. Steam -> Slippery Ground is more energy efficient than Gale, the only downside is if someone is really on the ball and draws the blind before Slippery hits.

If you have Steam on your bar and you want a KD, the choice is between Slippery and Gale. That's one skill slot regardless, and I'd personally try out both before calling either option strictly worse than the other.
