It's a really tempting option, but I feel you need at least some self condition removal. Another option would be to take SB instead of Signet of Devotion. I'm not sure how your energy works out without SioD, but I guess it should be alright since you're going to have like 9001 pips anyway.

[skill]Lightning surge[/skill] [skill]Barbed spear[/skill] [skill]Conjure lightning[/skill] [skill]Air attunement[/skill] [skill]Resurrection signet[/skill] [skill]Shell shock[/skill] [skill]Chest thumper[/skill] [skill]Maiming spear[/skill]

since skill tags aren't updated.. shell shock causes cracked armour, chest thumper does deep wound if suffering from cracked armour. maiming spear cripples if bleeding.

It's pretty fun, 4 conditions and a knockdown if LS doesn't get removed. seriously it needs a buff to after 2 seconds target foe is knocked down.

Just try Spirit Bond, its the best option.

Conditions give you e and hp regen, you dont want to get rid of them. With SB/RoF/SD and a little kiting you can survive dazed.

I have been using this build in RA quite a lot on my ele and i enjoy using it.

Attributes:Air Magic 16(12+3+1)
Energy Storage 12(11+1)
Deadly Arts 6

Usage:Pick the target of Highest Priority and prep the combo with aurgury of death followed by lightning orb. Make sure the target has no protective enchantments and use ride the lightning followed by shock and lightning bolt. Blind targets(especially rangers and assassins)with blinding flash.

Too energy consuming, no real cancel stance for frenzy, no self heal. Otherwise pretty fun

No cancel stance for frenzy is ftl.

If you get someone like me on the opposite team, I will notice when a warrior is using frenzy idiotically ( no cancel ) and exploit it.

How is bull's charge not a cancel for frenzy? Back when people still ran bull's charge warriors they never had another cancel, bull's charge fits fine.

Like I said, I don't remember the build too well, but it was fun to play.

I have to say I've gotten a lot of good teams (gimmicky, but good) lately, but I understand what you mean still. Physicals are all over the place, together with different gimmicks such as the SOJ-sin.

Yeah, but every skill can be countered in that way. Dismiss condition is also a counter to Bsurge, rendering it completely useless.

But bsurge is easily spammable and does it's job in the couple of seconds that it will take to be removed, especially if used well. Rust relies on heavy hexes to have any chance of sticking, and if it sticks for a little bit all it does is slow down the mesmer.

We need another random build to discuss...

[skill]death blossom[/skill][skill]moebius strike[/skill][skill]twisting fangs[/skill][skill]black lotus strike[/skill][skill]flurry[/skill][skill]siphon speed[/skill][skill]feigned neutrality[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]

This is basically an assassin build that recharges itself, sacrificing power for "re-usablity" Very easy to switch targets and spike someone else right after your finished, or just pressure people to death with moebius blossom.

Note: flurry only reduces the base 7-17 damage, so you actually end up doing ~7% less damage, not 25% less. So its not as bad as it looks, the spike will still do enough damage to /kill things.

Also, be sure to remember to use siphon speed defensively on occasion. Using it on a warrior before casting feigned allows you to get away and waste their time.
