Default Some things haven't changed

Old player, been logging in for a bit lately. Mostly RA, some GVG when it happens.

I know the devs don't give a shit about this game anymore. But a lot of the people playing currently still do, either that or they're new. And some the people still playing seem to be caught up in their elitist ways - always has been a problem for GW (and almost every competitive game known to man). But after just seeing a player rage at a sin in RA for only having a go (really what more could be asked of a PvP player these days) I couldn't help but notice the player disconnecting. I missioned through HA back in 2006 and I'm used to the whole "/fame rank noob" crap but I never welcomed it. I hate seeing it. That's part of the reason I stopped playing. The playerbase is a lot smaller now and that type of behaviour is only going to see it shrink even further. SO please try and curb your rage-induced team chat if only to preserve what's left of this game.

Peace out

i hoped the post GW 2 population would understand that pleasant behaviour encourages players to keep playing, however, sadly it often not the case, however, come and play Fort Aspenwood at the weekend, 16:00 eastern time, 22:00 mainland europe, Saturday and Sunday, we're a pretty mellow bunch, and you'll even see people with pre GW 2 rank who aren't wankers

I don't think it's so much a case of some things haven't changed, rather some things will never change. Welcome to 21st century online gaming.

I do agree, but when you know that 90% of the competitive activity left is dictated by people that are explicitely cheating and even flaming opponents, there is not much you can do

In my opinion, it's one of those things which will never change, because there'll always be bad players blaming the others for their own mistakes, not to mention the nowadays level of the average RA population is close to the one where a person is just accustomed to mindlessly smashing down the same buttons over and over on quite limited pack of templates he/she actually understands.

23:54-25:10 on this video of mine would be a good example.

My experience playing RA recently has been the opposite. The population that's left is full of botting cheaters (from [Gz] especially). Whether it is a mesmer rupt bot or noob monk's draw bot (you can see clearly in that video how quickly he draws blinds off the warrior; also he leaves on the condis that are not blind.. very suspicious plays, for someone like me, I would have drawn anyway if I was trying to go off my reflexes). Even my own guildie was starting to run a rupt bot. So I stopped playing for that reason. Wish someone would buy out the game servers from arenanet and clean house...
