Hard mode. No cons No Save yourself para.

I was on a monk and was bored so I ran ursan with vampirism so i was mo/rt

Other players was a ele/n running hexes. Really it was a joke. Btw Beat mallyx in hm in 21 minutes with build. btw mallyx really doesnt like spirits nor do margonites when u have holy light bringer on. Each spirit does a lot more dmg

Completed Urgoz with it today. Little bit of a problem with urgoz though. Other then that no problems

Urgoz team was as follows

Me on a monk/rt same as above
w/n human with necrotice traversal for 2nd room
ele/rt with deep freeze snares
mo/me healer

heroes were the 2 man set
+ 2 discord necros. 1 with rit healing other shambling hexor. really was a joke in urgoz to. Aggroed the entire first room no deaths or problems what so ever. Aggroed all of the 9th room . No deaths or problems what so ever.

*note*
Using cons with this build is pointless waste of a conset. Spirts recharge fast enough and they get no benifit from the cons.

Nice job on urgoz you two. On a side note, to anyone doing urgoz, the easiest way to kill Urgoz is to have one ranger player plant eoe and bring heroes in to get him below 90%. After that, flag all casters out of range and just run around in circles with EoE up.

Did Gate of Madness, Bogroot and FoW in HM yesterday with these builds.
Build makes bossfights the easiest part, shiro almost died to the spirits alone while we were clearing the 5 rooms.

I made up a build like this, using inspiration from this thread and from another.

3 hero build.

Rt/X- Razah. Channeling Rit.
15 Channeling, 12 Spawning

Signet of Spirits
Ancestors Rage
Splinter Weapon
Destruction
Rupture Soul
Boon of Creation
Spirit Siphon
Flesh of My Flesh

RT/X- Xandra
14 Communing, 10 Spawning, 10 Channeling

Shelter
Displacement
Union
Bloodsong
Pain
Signet of Ghostly Might
Spirit Siphon
Flesh of My Flesh

N/Rt-Olias
11 Death Magic, 11 Soul Reaping, 12 Restoration

Animate Bone Minions
Mend Body and Soul
Spirit Light
Spirit Light Weapon
Recuperation
Life
Protective Was Kaolai
Flesh of My Flesh

I used that in Crystal Overlook last night and we had no deaths. 1 death on the way over there when fighting a Paragon boss group. Otherwise it was pretty gravy.

I had Mhenlo and Kihm with as well though, we had more than enough damage.. I'm just really cautious. All those damaging spirits took down most things pretty fast. Worked pretty well. Probably could fix a few things here and there, seeing as that place isn't all that hard, or littered with AOE. But facing a group of 3 Sandstorm Crags..we had barely anyone lose health. I really have no idea why, but we dropped them fast.

criticism for the discorders: they need lots of improvement. The rest of the build is excellent. Just vanquished frozen forest w/one wipe cuz we pulled two massive stone summit grps. The discorders tho, need to be more prot oriented (both of them) instead of stuff like putrid bile, and imo only one of them should have animate minions and death nova, the other should have spirit bond, SoA, and perhaps foul feast? Although so far I'm liking this more than discordway, because I can afk even more with this build

One Death Nova and Rotting Flesh should go. Everything else should stay.

Just did gyala hatchery mission HM with a friend and myself. We went the back way to kill everything and work back towards the turtles. We're both wars, don't have full runes for the rits and were missing one rit, so we made Master of Whispers into one of the heal rit builds and gave him sufficient energy management.

Mission went fine with 1 near party wipe near the start due to far too many mobs due to some psycho minions lol We did not get masters due to a little turtle dying at the end and the rits not keeping it alive.

Things I noticed
  • Precasting spirits on the person with Reclaim causes them to use reclaim and kill said spirit they just summoned
  • The discorders rarely if ever used discord. We didn't have stuff on our wars to help trigger it. Even with calling they didn't use it and had to be microed which is irritating.
  • The rits refused to keep boon of creation on themselves at all times. They would even not cast it half the time before summoning spirits.

It is fun seeing all the spirits suddenly show up Energy didn't seem to be a problem for the rits at all, nor the necros of course due to massive minion creation/destruction.

Just completed Perdition Rock Vanquish with the 6 hero build on my Ranger. Very impressive indeed. As previously mentioned its only the eles that give any real problems - a group of four Mahgo Hydras loosing off Meteor Showers is going to hurt you - but we only had two deaths and overall it was a very easy vanquish.

nothing amazing or fast probably, but still nice to play something different than the standard 6 discord.

I'd love to see a screenshot, considering spirits DO NOT benefit from LB title and they also get affected by the 50% miss chance on gloom.

Under 2 hours on NM would be doable i guess, but on HM?i know u love to make up those retarded things so i'd really appreciate a screenshot this time.

The Rit primary heroes doing shelter spam seem bad in my experience. They are unreliable about keeping boon up without micro, they will usually not siphon the right targets when their energy is about 15 or so to get to the point of casting shelter, and they have no-where near the energy to cast the spirits as often as they recharge. For heroes I think we're better off with N/Rts, or else spending additional slots on e-manage from even other secondaries.

For a 3-hero build a character devoted entirely to defensive spirits is overkill in most spots... it is safer and will pull you through some hard areas, but it's slower going than discord. Usually I'd rather run 2x discord and a single spirit chan+communing spammer (no resto), or even sab MM + Curses + spirit spam. At minimum you are getting about as much damage then as the old triple necro builds, plus some extra spirit wall defense.

This. You'd think that a bar with nothing but non-targeted maintained skills and 3 spirits would be something that the AI would do well, but it doesn't. At all. It's awful at keeping up Boon of Creation, it's awful at using Armor of Unfeeling (I presume the AI was never updated and it's waiting until it takes damage). It seems pretty awful at using Spirit Siphon as well.

I won't even get into requests for having the AI use Signet of Spirits when the spirits are already up solely for the energy.

I've found Razah does the job well enough. By that, I mean I can get near constant Shelter, Union and Displacement coverage so long as Xandra has a copy of Union and Displacement too (but she isn't geared to keeping them up). Hardly ideal though.
Doing this on my necro, I run a N/Rt Signet of Spirits channeling build - my spirits are often attacked first and I carry Armor of Unfeeling. That usually means the defense spirits only take damage from their triggers and usually last long enough.

I find that if I move around a bit (well, quite a lot), the heroes won't use Spirit Siphon on the same spirit as often, but they're still pretty shit at it.

I will be honest here: I have not done much with this setup. Hardly anything in HM (a couple EotN missions) and Shards of Orr in NM; which could have been smoother, but was quite successful if I was careful with the 5/6 Wizards mobs (not Fendi though, that didn't go smoothly).

I would very much like to be able to not bother with Boon of Creation.
I would like to find a stronger alternative than Ritual Lord for Razah too (1 man H/H setup I'm doing here).

Was messing around with the rit hero builds, taking inspiration from all the ideas from the forum, I came up with this variation for a 2 rit builds.

SoS Rit
8+1 spawn
10+3+1 chan
12 resto

Boon of Creation
Signet of Spirits
Blood Song
Painful Bond
Spirit Light
Mend Body & Soul
Destruction
Death Pact Signet

Communing Rit

12+3 com
12+1+1 spawn

Reclaim Essence
Boon of Creation
Spirit's Gift
Anguish
Pain
Dissonance
Disenchantment
Flesh of My Flesh/Death Pact Signet

The 3rd hero could be either sabway's jagged bomber, discordway MM for corpses plentiful area. For areas with little or no corpses, any offensive heroes could be bought.

Comments appreciated.

SoS
Bloodsong
Boon of Creation
Shelter
Displacement
Armor of Unfeeling
Agony/Shadowsong
Pain

Enough spawning to hit 4e on boon, rest in commu or channel.

I like this guy as a compromise for the 3-hero builds (pair him with 2 necros). For some reason he's actually more likely to hit boon, and the emanage with that + SoS is enough to get him to use shelter. You may have to hit SoS manually though which is less than ideal. Also nothing to speed up the recharges on defense spirits, but that's little worse than the other commu builds that don't have energy to spam on recharge anyway.
