Default Trinity's Assassin and Hero Team

hey guys. i normally post on that "other" forum. but recently found that this forum has a lot more info and perhaps less flaming / trolling / etc. maybe i am wrong, but it seems people tend to know what;s going on a bit more here.

anyway, because i could;t choose A/D when i started, i took A/R instead... given this, here is my 4 man build i am using to get my survivor. so far i took on teh quest to get Olias and have dealt with a few L22 dudes from EoTN with this team. Anyway, with smart playing it can keep a L12 A/R alive with only L15 heros against 3 x L22 and teams of up to 4 or maybe more L20 's.

note: if you want to know. i had to sell 86 jade shards for the elite.

this is basically my hero battles build and i find that it works very well in the real world (PVE). and.... before anyone says it.... holy veil does work. dunno about pre-vieling as i have not been in areas with heavy diversion yet... but it works perfectly well as a hex removal as the hero's cast and remove it very very quick

Critical Agility > Tiger's Fury for one..
Drop shadow refuge garbage skill in general. Others can point out other mistakes.

It's alright I guess, though a bit light on offense to my liking. You got decent prot and healing, though I having shield of absorption along as well. I'm not sure I'd use one of my four elite slots for enchant stripping either. Do you have nightfall? Critical agility is too good to leave home without, especially since you seem to be the only actual damage in that team.

I think that spending more then one hero slot on pure healing or monking is kind of a waste. Usually henchy monks do fine along with one restoration necro or whatever. You should use the other slots for more damage, such as an SS necro or ele.

thanks for the tips. this is my L12 build.

when i get to L20 i can change to A/D and drop the Shadow Refuge and move my skills about and put in a little more dmg. and maybe swap out the RC monk.

otherwise, i am looking at using this build for survivor. so i guess surviving is ideal. when i get a decent sunspear rank (6 or above) i will look at Crit Agility.

@kazjun - corrupt enchant is a great degen tool

i am hoping this will be a good solo build to use in Shing Jea HM so i can work on my survivor. (or least with some form of bonding and then using an SP build).

cheers

If you are really going for survivor I suggest just going to GWEN and doing some boxing. Also, remembering back to when I vanquished Shing Jea, it seamed as though there was some fairly tough monks(mantids I believe). For the four man areas swap out atleast one monk or possibly two for a curse necro or ele, and for the six man areas, I remember a rit with spirits being helpful for the naga as the ritualists can me mean.

too many survivors i have known have passed away in boxing. lag spikes are common here in australia until after about 11pm at night. i have been testing my other character in boxing and it seems everyone is doing it... so there is more lag than usual coming from this area.

thanks for the tips.

may i suggest using critical agility instead of tiger's fury it is much easiar to work with and not as much of a energy hog.

also i'd recommend swapping out shadow refuge for a skill like "save yourselves" to help your backline as shadow refuge isn't very good...in fact it's almost counter productive. If you want some regen use mystic regeneration

Only the armor bonus scales with Critical Agility, which means it's more than viable at rank 1, considering it's pretty much a permanent 33% IAS, and arguably the best one in the game.

Degen's not nearly as powerful as pure damage in PvE, since foes generally don't last long enough for it to really do much. Also, you usually want AoE damage in PvE, and degen very rarely actually affects more than one foe. You're better off with SS and the like.

The "three Necro hero build" on wiki is an excellent setup for heroes. I've modified it a bit, especially the healer, which I converted to a Rt/Me instead of N/Rt.

A minion master hero is both good defense and offense. The minions absorb a LOT of pressure, especially on the frontline which you'll be sharing with them. Therefore, I would suggest using the MM from the 3 Necro hero build, modifying your own "big damage" dealer - he uses an SS/Curses bar on a necro but an Ele would work here as well, or anything with good damage output and moderate protection for themself. The third is of course a healer.

Though I'll post a build for you and there are other hero healer builds out there, if you feel you're lacking offense, make a healer based on life stealing like the Weapon of Remedy/Vengeful Weapon combo. If, after making your modifications to your other two heroes (MM and damage output), you feel that you have enough offense, a spike heal/semi-prot monk will work well, WoH is a good elite for this.

Why your monks are using HB bars is beyond me, also your N/RT could use less enchant removal, you only need corrupt enchantment most of the time, and parasitic is just a waste of a skill slot without a hex stack. Weapon of warding/ protective was kaolai and that can replace your hero monks healing and you could just bring hench. Without the hero monks, you have more leeway when choosing heroes to deal damage.
