Default Slaver's Exile H/H?

Well I've been doing slavers lately, I finished it once and I've been thinking about which builds are most effective.

I am an imbagon, I ran it with a fire ele her, SS and monk. (+ healer hench, interrupt, cynn & devona/talon).

I also tried it with discord heroes, but it didn't work very well.

Any suggestions?

One thing for sure, you'd want your hero monk to be heavy anti-hex protter. You want a tank but you'd have to micro him/her. Personally the third spot should be either SoS Razah or MM.

That being said, I wouldn't try H/H ing it. I tried and while you can get a ways in on some of them, you should realistically at least bring a 2nd human with good heroes.

I H/H'ed Slaver's as a melee char, just brought prots, an offensive bar with some defence, and tanked, then I brought nukers, they nuked, one had Frozen Soil too, that was the way I won that dungeon.

good point Slasher. Dwarfslaying mods and EoE would help as well. The rezzing in advanced areas is always the real challenge.

I've noticed that careful pulling is the key to SE, more than anything else.

I HH'ed every dungeon in NM and HM on me ele. HM Forgeweight was the worst dungeon in the game for me. I think I ran fairly generic builds for Thommis and Selvetarm, with Frozen Soil ofc. Duncan isn't too bad if you move the spirits and use the corner necro trick. Forgeweight I don't know what to tell you. I did bring Gwen with a heavy interrupt build. I used cons and took a lot of time.

Ive just h/h NM and HM slavers on my assassin, personally I ran 2 MM's with prots and heals and 1 SoS rit with hex removal. Then took mhenlo, herta, cynn and zho.

Myself I ran a soldiers stance assassin with save yourselves. I agree, forgeweight was definitely the most difficult, I used cons for that part.

When I did it NM for the book and title, I did the first 4 bosses with sabway heros (exactly as PvX's builds) both monk and both ele henchies. I was a Barrage critbow A/R with Frozen Soil.

When it came to Duncan, I was AFKing in Grotto and saw a N/A spamming for Duncan NM (he was swap/SV) so we teamed up and he had Discord heros, we didn't get a single death in the dungeon.

Yes, take them 1 group at a time for the safest results, pull far enough so you don't accidentally aggro other groups. If brave you can take 2 groups.

Even two groups is death if you are unlucky, laggy, or both.

As everyone pointed out here, you can't bring any random heros, even in NM.

SoS rit with convert hexes definitely looks like a winner, along with two heavy dmg casters for the rest of the hero lineup.

I'm surprised that people recommend Cynn.
Do people here prefer Cynn over Herta, and why?

You only need to kill Duncan in HM and the the whole dungeon will count as HM.

totally true, just do everything in normal mode and only do duncan in hard mode, for that, I'd suggest can't touch this for those nasty popups, and swap to get all the spirits away from him, + a load of interrupts, that's in case you can't afford to get some sin to help you. A sliver perma should still be able to kill duncan in a matter of seconds.

Completely agree with HellScreams, I did this recently with my N/A MoP nuker and the PVX Spiritway team http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build%3ATeam_-_Hero_Spiritway with Lo Sha, Mhenlo, Herta and one of the Warriors. Put Can't Touch This on one of the rits and micro'ed it when the Restless Dead showed up and Frozen Soil on the other rit. Swapped out the spirits around Duncan ( and there's a double crap load of them in HM ) and took Duncan down without too much trouble. Some careful pulling and the dungeon wasn't nearly as hard as I was anticipating.

I recently did Vloxen HM then Duncan HM on solo H/H, because they are similiar in principle (except the swapping aspect of Duncan). That is, large heterogenous groups of dwarves with rez, summons, nuking, healers and protters (

I ran R/A build (AP spamming with FS) with triple necro heroes (discord-curses, discord-channel and discord-prot). Henchmen included earth nuking, mesmer and both monks.

Both dungeons were extremely challenging, duration 2-3h each, and requiring conservative tactics, heavy micromanagement and DP removals to protect heroes (but no consets), and lots of luck ...

Duncan was challenging too because my team was not the recommended SV or SigSorrow necro, so I had to flag around heroes and absorb massive Spirit Rift damage.

At chuckles69:
Yes I also prefer the earth nuker to the henchman fire nuker, due to team defence and knockdowns.

Good luck Kentz with your Duncan farming factory!

Standard spiritway thumps NM Slaver's on its head, HM as well actually but it takes more finesse (and you should bring a copy of Frozen Soil on one of the Rits).

See this thread: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/1...t10431929.html

I might write a guide to H/H'ing for Elementalist primaries someday, it should apply reasonably well to all caster primaries as well, and possibly Paragons.

I've been doing Slavers NM with h/h. In NM i dont use FS often as my team has rupts and they die so fast its not really necessary. HM is a different story, still tweeking builds for H/H HM Duncan. FS seems to be required for HM though. If anyone knows builds for H/H HM Duncan only, id be interested.

The spirit builds work fine for Duncan h/h HM.

I did Slaver's in NM and Duncan in HM on my assassin using those builds, using FS only in Duncan.

I basically used the builds in Jeydra's thread, swapping the MM for a Panic mes, if I'm really honest even with just Mhenlo for heals it was all fairly easy.

I suggest taking a look at the threads mentioned above, the spirit builds may be best suited to aggressive casters types but they still wipe the floor with Duncan HM on any profession.
