Hey everyone this is my first post, and basically I'd just like some thoughts on this slight variation of the current 'meta' I've taken.
I'm a monk on my main so no access to this SY, rubbish :/ hence I'm finding areas like DOA hm, trying at the least of times, if anyone has anything better that can be ran with a monk main, I'd much appreciate it, thanks.

Something like this would totally work.

Also, get some Fall Back on your team. You already specced into Command. GftE is prolly useless on the necro, you don't want him to be wanding stuff. Never Surrender isn't a good idea either.

You don't need Binding Chains on the communing rit. Get Boon of Creation, or he'll pretty much be staring at an empty energy bar all day long. I'll refrain from commenting on Discord.

Joke? No that would not totally work. You have 60 base armor, no shield attribute so 68 armor with a shield. SY makes you stand out like hell. Frenzy will make you take double damage... You're so gonna get raped trying to axe.

Ummm... a protector or a smiting RoJ nuker would be a great idea if your main is a monk...

A SogM probably shouldn't spec into channeling if you have a Rit that is already specced into channeling

splinter weapon = relatively useless without a melee

Basically, imo you ditch the ER Prot, add a Channeling Rit, make one rit channeling and the other communing, and you be a protector.

Because a human doing prots can be insane.

Yes, it does sound dangerous to run such a build as a squishy, but it's not half as bad as it seems. Also, you have 83 armor once you factor in Blessed insignias and a defense mod on the weapon (things you really should use in any case), and 107 armor once SYG is taken into account (yup, the little underdog no one cares about. Looks good here doesn't it

). As far as general VQ / missions go, if my warrior can perma Frenzy then I don't see why a monk cannot Frenzy/Rush.

If you're not comfortable enough to Frenzy/Rush or you're tackling something more difficult than the generic VQ, Drunken Master with booze is a great alternative as always. Or cook up something with Soldier's Stance and drop SoH on a hero, axe elites aren't that good anyways.
