I tried this in foundry some run before with an UA smiter instead of the SB mesmer (razah) and worked very smooth until the fifth room, where I losed my UA (who had the only rez skill). After this, I've managed to beat 5-6 other groups until I losed also my N/Rt hero and then wiped (having at least another rez skill, perhaps on player bar, would be much better).
However, after not seeing a single death in gloom with the UA smiter, I've tried replacing it with the SB mesmer and it worked slightly faster (was 16-17 min before) even with my death against the final earth tormentors.

Dave Mustaine quit Megadeth in order to join my guild.. and on topic - there's probably room for improvement, I bet I could've got 15 mins if I didn't RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO up @ the Darknesses. :P

My best times for general play on a warrior after doing a few runs (~identical to EFBJack except roj->curses healer and st rit->sogm):
city: 19
veil: 31
gloom: 18
foundry: 36
full run: 124
You can cut off a few minutes each with better technique and a little luck, the full run was terrible. There's a guy that did 19/30/12/24, <90 minutes is a good baseline for a speed run.

pretty sure i can get at least 1 less minute, had water torm spawn in the back of the line at portal, slowed me down.
EDIT:
If EoE didn't go down would of been a 12, instead almost wiped and got a sketchy 13. 12 is defiantly doable though.

Grats! Surely 18 mins HM is way better than 15 min NM
@Relyk
Nice times! I've been faster than you in gloom but I still haven't finished foundry with my heroes
@greenough
Oh, so THIS is fast!

Yeah. Chaining SoA since 2006. ;p Best skill ever imo.. I suppose a 12:40-12:50 run is possible on Hard Mode if everything goes as it should.. fx on that run I spent over a minute killing the last Darkness he kept running from the AoE + all spawns didn't get hit by Earth Quakes >;| But I don't think I'll be chasing that perfect /age 12 run on hard mode

EFGJack, you are a god at build making >.> I get too locked into a single profession's skills that I can never see any kind of synergy anywhere... I seriously had never thought of using GoLE on mesmers till I saw your UW thread, and Offering of Blood on a monk? Blasphemy!
I need to play GW more...

@EFGJack:
Glad to see you've started using Drain + Shatter Delusions, spread the love for it! I'm still of the opinion they're seriously underused, judging from the current mesmer bars I see linked all over alliance chat.
I'd post my Ravenheart HM clears, but I just use an all-caster party for that, so it's cheatyface - well, I actually bring along a pet for EoE. Nothing speeds up Gloom (especially first quest) like EoE does.
P.S.: This is very silly, but if you love micro, you might want to try playing around with Rupture Soul in Ravenheart Gloom sometime. Much faster than Eruption and the blind is fantastic.

as a matter of fact I sometimes play with Destruction + rupture on Razah and Draw Spirit on myself but I can't be bothered to micro it all the time. Although it's quite effective in the areas where it's worth the trouble.

mmm... this looks great !
would you mind posting the build templates ?
btw, it seams like your heros should have energy problems. only 1 e-management skill for the smiters, 2 for the earth ele, who has many high-energy-cost spells. and "never give up" is too conditional imo.
how do they make it ?

Is that aimed at me? Eh, sure. Although it's not about the builds, but about the playstyle and knowledge of DoA/Gloom. For example I would never use the earth ele outside DoA, and I've got similar results running two mesmers so it's a matter of personal preference. And as for the UA Razah, well, you're probably better off running something else as a caster primary :P Bloodsong isn't there for damage but it serves it's purpose nonetheless.
if you know GW & DoA you can get 12-15mins on HM gloom with a variety of setups.

They barely make it, but if they do there's no need for additional energy management. You could try to fit in Blood Ritual for the smiters, they run dry at the end of the cave quest. The earth ele does really well though, I reckon you could change SQ for Blood Ritual on him to help the smiters. And yeah, the paragon shout is a bit iffy, but when they get hit by rust it's +16 energy instantly for everyone who got hit by it. For example. It's not as bad as people tend to think.

Has anyone got any tips or a video of this run? No matter what I try I keep getting spanked by the waves during the first mission It doesn't help that I have never played DoA before but have tried to read up as much as possible on it and still fail.

that's the first quest. I got a better quality clip of the whole run (15~ mins HM) but it'll take a week to upload it with my current connection, so I'll do it at my folks' place some other day :P
