The thing is, Putrid bile and so forth isn't exclusive to Discord. Bringing Discord not only takes up an Elite slot but also decrease the power of the rest of the bar due to the amount of casting the heroes have to do to actually put Discord to decent use. This would be fine if Discord in itself was powerful, but if you start looking at things it really isn't. It is conditional, it requires constant casting and its DPS isn't that good. It is a good spike skill, but that's about it. It is horrendously overrated due to it giving the player an illusion of power when you spike someone down fast. At the end of the line a well put together non-discord group will be more efficient.
OT: I've been running a SoS Rit/SoGM Rit/Curser+Blood Nec/MB Nec/Healing Burst Monk/2xSmiters+Prots Monks on my Warrior. The damage has a ramp up time but once you get going the only thing stopping that setup is a heavy AoE spike. Anything else will be rolled due to the overwhelming amount of minions and spirits coupled with great AoE healing due to Dwayna's Sorrow, Blood Bond and Heaven's Delight.

Discord these days isnt as conditional as some skills. Some hexes literally leave a condition and with me running a ebon dust derviwh and having two mesmers in my group i literally dont have to do anything it just happens. But personally I'm not a fan myself but a little discord can only help but too many is just silly.
I'm running:
1 Ebon Dust Derv or AoG+GA Derv
3 slots standard sabway
1 signet of ghostly might ritualist
1 signet of spirits spammer
1 psychic instability mesmer
1 paragon for whatever utility or partial imbagon i want

I agree that putting the conditions up isn't a problem, the problem begins when the enemies tear them down. But this thread really isn't the place to discuss Discord and its pros and cons, sorry for making an issue out of it.

3 AoTL seems to be a waste, but I'll have to try it.
I use to like making armies, but with a bunch of pets and 20+ high level minions the party wasn't as mobile as I liked. Minions lagged. Had to micro AoTL/Death Nova and seemed like the minions always got there late.
Surprised at how little love ROJ gets even though it's faster than discord and works great with spirits and minions.
I made a 6 man team for a vq and kept going into 8 man areas.
My ROJ aka HOT KNIFE through Butter team:
Ranger/Rit SOS w/Battle Standard Vamp & Summon spirit
Mesmer PI Hero
Nec/Monk RoJ w Shamblin
Nec/Monk RoJ w minions death nova
Monk/Ele RoJ /Prots
Monk/Ele HB
Lots of KD with PI, bane sigs, etc. Several copies of smite Hex/condition. 2 x's Aegis. Everything is aimed to keep us moving and doing damage. This build is fairly mobile and fun. Just run in set or pull spirits. Aggro and battle standard/painful bond/Armor of unfeeling. Could add dual paras, 2 more rojs, SOGM rit (meh), frontline w more healing/prots.

Your setup seems solid enough in my eyes, but I personally would probably want either more prots or more AoE healing. Sample builds;
E/Mo ER as per PvX
Mo/Me Healing Burst with Dwayna's Sorrow (has great synergy with the Minion Bomber). Check out either "Generic Healer" on PvX or the "Healing burst hero" thread on these forums for builds.
Dwayna's Derv (check out the "Let's abuse some Dervishes" thread).
Going any of the above instead of a Warrior would also allow your SoGM Rit to be more focused on spamming spirits instead of healing.
Bringing a Panic mesmer is probably a good choice in most areas as well.

2x MM <- actually maintained 10/11 minions each most of the time, I was impressed.

Gotta say that switching out the 2nd MM for a Keystone Signet mesmer is going really nicely in lower corpse areas and especially areas with blocking (see: Stygian Veil/Gloom). Slightly less impressive amounts of loleasymode steamrolled Margonites, though. Trying to incorporate an AoD Derv with support heals, but the AI just doesn't seem to be reliable and its too much to micro for the harder battles. Would go for it myself but my Derv is still so damn far from DoA...

I'm pleasantly surprised to see paragons being used. Apparently people acknowledge that they're not that bad (if they run command). GFTE is 1.4x damage on all your minions after all (critical hit). Since most of the time I spend vanquishing is looking for the last mob (lol 30 min VQ and 1 hour looking for 1 group), I prefer fallback +GFTE with high command over another damage dealer.

How do you get the prot spec (especially for Spirit bond/Aegis/Shielding Hands which all need it to be pretty high)?
11+1+1 heal
9+1 DF (=8HP/sec ~4 regen)
9+1 Prot
6 Inspir
is the best I can do (or drop prot to 8+1, up DF by 1).
13 on shielding hands, +80 on Spirit bond, 9s on Aegis (9spec is all that's needed)

Right now I'm doing 6 man zones in Tyria but when I did 8 man zones on my monk I used a balanced team, just for the sake of balanced:
1 Mesmer w/ Panic
2 Rit SoS hybrid w/ spirit Light
3 Necro AoTL Minion bomber w/ prot spirit+SoA
4 Paragon w/ Fall back, Stand your ground, gfte , wild throw
5 Dervish with Avatar of dwayna, meditation, flash enchants, dark fury
6 Ranger barrage, d-shot, sloth hunter, etc.
7 Monk UA+DH+HD +gift+deny+SOA+dismiss (disabled) 14DF, 10 Heal, 10 prot / Healing Burst 13Heal,13 DF
too bad I can't use Ele, ...or assassin, warrior in melee
gfte has synergy with the 2 physicals + 10-11 minions
If I wasn't limiting myself to one of each I'd run another Mesmer with Illusion or Keystone. SOGM rit is too slow (some spirits are on 45 recharge) and unlike SoS you need a whole bar to do it. SoS + bloodsong need a total of 2.5 seconds (1+0.75 aftercast +0.75) whereas SOGM needs ~6-7 seconds of setup time.
A ST rit is an option over Minion bomber in low corpse areas. Could probably also swap monk out for a smiter's boon guy (for judge's insight barrage fun).
