Post Interesting Farming Build Maybe?

This is my first farming build so....

For a long time I've been using this build in PvP, and more recently Hero Battles, with success. But now I think I'll take it to farming.

So this farming is designed for a group...

The Ranger- R/Me
Greater Conflagration [e]
Winter
Troll Unguent
Dust Trap
Flame Trap
Barbed Trap
Mantra of Frost
Res Sig/Serpent's Quickness

Wilderness Survival:16 (12+3+1)
Inspiration Magic: 12
Expertise: 4 (3+1)

Perfect Insightful ____ of Warding
Energy +5 while health above 50%

Frostbound Armor: gives you 115 AL against cold damage
When entering battle cast GC, then Winter. This is the key to the build. The combination of the 2 spirits will turn all physical and elemental damage to cold damage. The traps are fillers. Mantra of Frost is a huge damage reduction, plus energy management. Your armor helps a lot too.

Now, for the other members of you group.....
Make sure they have elemental damage reduction upgrades and armor.
They should also have Mantra of Frost.
(srry for being a little vague here)
So basically, if you keep GC+W on all the time, all your members will be taking very, very little damage, plus a nice form of energy management. The nice thing about this build is that it can farm dervs, eles, assassins, warriors, Paragons, and Rangers.

Please critisize and critique...

I actually thought of something like this when i first capped Greater Conflageration. Although I found it useless in PUG's because it only protected me. Reason, no PUGer will change their secondary to become a mesmer and use mantra of frost.

However, if you have a guild group, or a group of friends, this isnt a bad idea, it does decrease the damage output of enemies significantly

exactly... and the ai of the enemies puts spirits as last on target list
And in tombs, B/P could be altered. One of the rangers brings GC and mantra, the rest have frostbound and mantra. Besides, in tombs, your secondary is usually /me anyway.

The problem with traps is that it takes a lot of time to pull off. Setting the traps takes time, as does pulling the enemies to the traps.

And when it comes to farming, Time = Money.

I said that the traps were fillers.
This isn't a solo farm its a farm with multiple people, and I thought of it as a way to farm hard areas where there is no competing builds and to bring an unused skill to the forefront.

I am aware that this wasn't a solo farm, but laying the traps and pulling the mobs still takes time.

Unless you meant that a tank would grab aggro, and the trapper(s) would run in and place traps right next to the enemies.

yeah you could do this...... but it doesn't have to be trappers. This is very flexible and I need to do some testing. If someone could maybe propose skill set of other party members.....
I suppose this is what the tank would look like (i sometimes use a wammo vital blessing build like this lol for my warr)
Warrior -- w/me
Defy Pain [E] (omg defy pain what a noob)
Endure Pain
Dolyak Sig
"Watch Yourself!"
Riposte
Mantra of Frost
Heal Sig
Res

The GC+Winter and the mantra would already have the tank taking -0 to -6's,
so, instead of having a no damage dealing warrior that wont die, you could have a sword damage dealer that still won't die

As for the healing... the people won't need much and self-healing should cover, so a monk may not be necessary. (mainly because in RA, I was running the GC+Winter Trapper [first post] and meteor shower was hitting me for -19 lol)

And as for damage..... this could get a lil tricky. ss kinda got nerfed, but dont ask me because i really didnt read into the nerfs. All i know that the damage doer should have a mantra of frost.....whether it be damage warr, trapper, or caster

(This may be going a little to far but.....)2 other rangers could each bring famine and quicksand(the one that removes 1 energy whenever creatures attack or use a skill), plus av/sv for damage but i dont because that would rely too much on spirits imo
people, respond! i need input!
