Default Most profitable 55 farm?

I've been doing the Dead Sword farm for a while now and it gets kind of boring since the prices for Dead Swords have dropped so much. I'm looking for a new place to farm. What do you all think is the best farm for a 55 monk?

I would say the UW duo, if you do not like that, then in my experience the dead sword farm is the most profitable right now.

Easier said than done. The few times I won in halls...I got trash.

I hate 8 man HA.

Why do people always say this? It is not that easy for some people who only play PvE or people who are not in a HA active guild. You always see the same people winning halls over and over again, so for someone new to HA this is simply not a good option to make money.

You can run dark_slayers E/Mo build as Mo/E for solo UW. It will take some practice but it's definately doable. I would suggest getting a 15/-1 wand and 15/-1 Offhand as they have saved me numerous times when clearing the chamber. Once you get to the smites it's a cakewalk as long as you don't aggro colds and don't panic when a DN pops.

There's plenty of 55 builds posted here though and most good ones are stickied at the top. You shouldn't have any problems putting a good farming route together from all the great information off this sub-forum.

Good luck!

you can as long as the other team doesnt have chilblains and as long as you have SB up your not that easy to kill as a 55. You could you just dont have a good chance and you can always take off your armor and buy new pieces and play a healing or prot monk.

First off Out...I did say "55 farm" and halls has pretty much nothing to do with 55 farming? Also I'm not a PvEr and thats why I ask for some farming places..My money supply is way down so I need to bring it back up.

I've won halls. Got the Sigil and Screen Shot to prove it. Got my stuipid rank emote and I was done. I enjoyed HA but it's just not for me. It probablly didn't help that the guild I was in seemed to always waste countless hours just to form a group and decide on a build. PUG'ing it is just crap as you can't depend on people you don't know to stick around. Even those elite "R9 groups" or whatever. Total crapola. People can farm HA just like anything else. Hell you can even buy your fame check the Services sub-forum...

Why on earth are you preaching PvP in the PvE farming sub-forum anyways? Basically from the way I'm reading these replies you're coming across as the typical "I'm so l33t" PvP'er that thinks he's better than PvE folks. Trust me there's people that play PvE that would run circles around you if they wanted...most have no ambition though.

And just for the record you're terribly wrong. The richest people in GW are resellers. Period. Buy low, sell high. Your random Crystalline/Dwarven HA drop doesn't even come close to what I've seen people do on a daily basis.

If you want to be rich in GW find the things that are high in demand and buy low/sell high.

Your post was not well recieved because your answer was totally out in left field. The question was not "how do I make the most money".

To be fair your reply isn't total rubbish. If you have the right group of people and can routinely get to (and hold) Halls odds are you're going to get a pretty penny from the chest drops. Obviously good stuff comes from that chest as we all see in the High-End sale forum. It's really too bad that most random joes will never even sniff that chest...

Have fun.
well, then you can go to the canthan mission discussion forum and reply to someone trying to beat raisu palace mission to "get good, win halls, get rich, pay a runner". I bet the poster will appreciate your "good intention".
or you can reply to every other post in this farming forum and tell them to win halls (why only this 55 post?).

....moron ftl

back to topic, imo farming dead sword is the most profitable 55 farm atm (if you talk about soloing).
if you want to get around the boredom, other famous 55 builds can be your alternative but i doubt it will be more profitable than dead farming.

enough with the pvp eliteism (and that goes for the return bashing as well). Out: thank you for trying to suggest an alternative approach to making money, but the OP was asking for 55 builds/farming locations and your post does not contribute to the matter at hand.

Also, I'm not quite sure Out what you are doing here in the PvE campfire section (Yes, infact it does say PvE Builds and Discussion in bold under the title) if you post such things as:

Quote:
PvErs need to think of better ways to express sarcasm. You guys keep regurgitating the same retarded crap over and over.
Now, If you were a PvPer (guessing that you are unless by "you guys" you really mean yourself) why would you be in the PvE section?

Also, I really am interested in your theory that HA is the best way to make money. Supply some facts for me please as I don't really like to waste my time on simple guesses.

Out, if you feel somewhat mad or aggrevated by my post, please think about the PvEers that had read your posts here in this thread and ask yourself if it's really worth flaming. No hard fealings really; just that I figure taking some time out of my moderation duties to comment on how much I appreciate posts like yours would be well worth the while.

In conclusion I would like to say this: stop the pvp/pve eliteism (all of you), think if your post is worth the readers time and if it is on topic. Please understand that moderating guru is not a paying job and I (as the rest of the guru staff) am doing this out of my own free will and on my own free time.

Thank you for your understandment and sorry for such a long post.

-edit--
p.s. totally forgot why I came here. Your best chance at making money is still the UW. In additon, if you have the money to spend I would suggest chest farming. I go with a mo/r or mo/w. With the recent patch, you could go mo/r and use your pet as a decoy if you need it.

Farming Tundra Giants in Snake Dance and Dreadnoughts Drift can be very profitable. Bring lots and lots of id and expert salvage kits. Run to the giants, kill them all the way up to the zone. Then kill the giants just inside Dreadnoughts and the ones near the Dwayna statue. Then zone back into SD and kill the ones just inside (near the troll cave). Zone back to DD. Rinse and repeat. You'll get a lot of runes. Rare drops ect. Keep going untill you're out of salvage kits.

The thing i hate about Halls, is taht ppl only want r3+ and if you arent r3+, you cant get a good group, thus making it impossible to get fame to get to r3+, therefore, it is impossible to HA, unless you join an HA guild, which trust me, it will get VERY VERY old after a while, its a shitload of fame that takes a shitload of time. And if you do decide to evade the HA guild and just stick with PuGs and unranked groups then you will have grown a full beard by the time you reach r3 and by then they will be on GW11.5 (Return of the Return of that dickweed everyone hates called rurik), the sequel to GW 10 [A-Net will get progressively worse at math] (The Rise of Little Thom (you thought he was dead in that quest Red-Cloaked Deserter)

I tried this once; the run was very tricky to do, but it worked. I'm pretty sure there was a guide for it somewhere. This is also very valid still because the "nerfs" to the AI don't trigger as long as you keep the giants at range. The only problem I had was that a messed up lure leads to insane knockdowns from 2-3 groups, and interrupts to PS and HB at the wrong time were bad.

However, as you say, very profitable. My first run got 2 sup, 3 major and countless minor runes.

Edit: Ok just made a build for it. I'm not at home right now, so I can't try it for a few days. Pretty simple really. Someone care to try it?

Mo/D 55 Tundra Giant Farming

12 + 3 + 1 Smiting Prayers (16)
6 + 3 Protection Prayers (9)
6 + 3 Divine Favor (9)
10 Earth Prayers

Protective Spirit
Mystic Regeneration
Shield of Judgment (Elite)
Fleeting Stability
Pious Haste
Blessed Aura
Balthazar's Spirit
Essence Bond

Exit from Camp Rankor. Cast Blessed Aura then Mystic Regeneration followed by Essence Bond and Protective Spirit. Why so many? Because Pious haste will remove an enchantment each time it is used. Just run down the hill normally, using Pious haste when you have aggro'd the enemy. Mystic regeneration will heal the first few hits you take, and when Pious Haste removes it, you should be well clear. All the other enemy along the way can be simply run past using Pious Haste. Head towards the portal to Grenth's footprint. There are a few Tundra Giants there. Just cast Fleeting Stability and jog to the portal. If you start taking heavier damage (LOSE THE TROLLS AGGRO FIRST) cast a few enchants with Fleeting Stability Active, then use Mystic Regeneration to heal up. Once through the portal, rezone back again and head towards the main group of Tundra's. If any Azure Shadow's pop you can either Pious-Haste past and put up with the KDs, or use Fleeting Stability then, once you are sure they have all used Signet of Judgment, just run past.

Once at the Tundra's it's pretty simple. Switch to your 55 gear, cast your maintained enchants. Then use Protective Spirit, Mystic Regeneration and Fleeting Stability before mass-aggroing 1-2 groups of Tundra's. Maintain Protective Spirit, Mystic Regeneration and Fleeting Stability. Use SoJ and let it do it's work. Afaik, one SoJ should be enough. If not, you could consider dropping Protection Prayers slightly for more Divine Favor.

At the end of the fight, let Fleeting Stability end. You should be knocked down. Get up, run along to the next group. Rinse and repeat.

Whilst I know this is probably nothing knew (off the top of my head) it makes good use of the Dervish secondary and could be a nice way to easily farm the Tundras.

Titan gems, 2 or 3 man Foundry, not technically 55 since its about a 130hp SoA build, but same same. Very difficult though.
