But the eternal aegis looks cooler! And as we all know, looking good gives you +400 armour vs anything stupid enough to mess with your pimped up self.

Hooray for getting random PM's.

Please tell me that you're from GWGuru if you whisper me... It really throws me off guard. Lol.

By the way, if I find a new farmspot... I'll inform you all.

4:30AM here and I finally had a chance to try this run out...pretty simple and laid out nicely I must say...thx Loshi. I ran both builds and found that both work well. I however never ever had a problem with health though with my build. I pulled each and every vermin I could find and not a scratch except for the degen which the self heals more then took care of. The 3rd heal that I have in there Vigorous Spirit is unnecessary since all your taking on is degen. These assasins also do not dodge or block your attacks =) which is nice. So you could take Vigorous Spirit out and go with something to kill even faster like Penetrating Chop or something. Also Wild Blow should be subbed with Power Attack for more damage. I also put less into Tactics after the first run since I never needed bonettis up longer then 5 seconds for an instant energy refill. Back at work now so can't tell exact attributes but something like this. Did 5 runs and that cheapskate shredder never gave me his greenie! dang him...gonna call the Ninja Turtles on him!

BTW for those of you that don't like to die keep Vigorous Spirit in there just in case =). One neat thing is to let your health drop by not attacking with cyclone and Triple Chop and wait till your down to 50 or so health and hit cyclone and triple chop...instant refill of half your health...lol.

Strength - 12 (for 18 sec Doylaks)
Axe - 14
Healing - 8
Tactics - 2

I was thinking maybe these would work nicely Loshi...somebody let me know if this is even reasonable. All I remember is I was in a Pug with 3 warriors at the House zu Heltzer mission and there was a boss with sliver armor. He killed myself and the other 2 warriors all within 10 seconds with sliver armor. We all targeted him and the massive spike damage he did with that totally destroyed us.

W/E

I will survive - No Degen
Doylak
Bonettis
Heal Sig
Sliver Armor - Massive Damage with them all on you
Triple Chop - (Self heal with at vamp mod...+3 health for every vermin hit.)
Cyclone - (Self heal with at vamp mod...+3 health for every vermin hit.)
Penetrating Blow

W/M
Vamp Weapon

Physical Resistance
Channeling - (Unlimited energy with that may vermin on you)
Healing Sig
Cyclone
Triple Chop
I Will Survive
Last 2 spots are open for whatever.

On th subject of shields, why not take an enchantment one? Same as a stance shield, but you're always enchanted by mending/live vicariously...

I use a bit different of a build on them no sure if its faster or more efficient but its safe

W/Mo
Sup abs/Sup vigor(<<although i doubt these are really that needed), minor Strength/tactics

Any sword at all will do here, even if its A piece of crap from pre
Shiled- Strongroot's Shelter, req9 str, -2 in stance, +30 always

Healing-10
Strength-12(10+1rune+1helm)
Tactics-12(11+1rune)

Dolyaks Signet
I Will Survive
Deadly Riposte
Riposte
Gladiator's Defense{E}
Healing Breeze
Balthazars Spirit
Mending(OMFGZOR Teh Ubar n00b skill.....)

All in all, i get +16 regen with IWS on, brought down to 0 regen- 0 degen when its off and recharging

I can take on as many as i can pull in one group which is usually all of them on the Racetrack forementioned by Loshi.

Most damage I take is from the odd Strikes that Shreader gets me with, 2-3 dmg, other than that my health doesnt go down much.

Might not be the fastest killing build but whne you get down to just you and Shreader the bleeding+mega dmg from both ripostes takes him out fast.

Hi There!

Loshi inspired me to try the "standard mountian troll"-farm build on this location.

When I first tried this i realized (after killing all the vermins), that i hadn't put a point in healing^^. Just had to use the heal-sig. very often...

Skillbar:

Penetrating Blow, Cyclone, Bonettis, Glads-Def., Dolyak, Heal-Sig., Live Vicareously, Mending.

Skillpoints:

Strength: 10 (7+3)
Axe: 11
Tactics: 13 (req. for my shield) (12+1)

...cant remember exactly...
after the first run, i changed this to lower strength and axe, increased healing to 8 (mending = 3pip & LV =10hp/hit)

was something like: axe (9), heal(8), tactics(13), rest in strength.

I usually cast my enchants, grab the first two mobs, kill 'em, then the second two mobs, then I'll go over the bridge to the boss... and kill the rest of them.

When guys stand around you hit Dolyak (and refresh when runs out as soon as possible), use cyclone/bonettis/cyclone... and when available glads-def./cyclone/cyclone. Do not stop hitting foes in between cyclones, just switch the target when it's about to die... For the last mob you can just target the boss and hit him, he'll usually die last.

Poisoning is no real threat, I barely use heal-sig. (But when I do then ONLY when dolyak is up). Didn't die until now.

The run takes about 5-10 minutes and nets me about 1-1.5k (did not get the daggers by now...). And I'm not counting the vermin-pelts (? don't know what they are called in english), which I'm collecting.

Have fun!

Default Why don't they drop?

I to was using the troll farming build. I must have done this close to twenty times. Was getting board and frustrated. So i decided to add some assasssins so they could cap his elite seeping wound. So off I go with two assassins and guess what the dam green drops for one of them I was pissed but it's all luck. This makes me wonder if the new greens are dropping for all clases. Have these daggers dropped for anyone else? Also the drops always seem better for my characters with less exp or the first time in a new zone. I don't want to turn it into a drop rate thread.

drop rates are always better your first few times threw a zone...if you keep going back to a zone to farm then the anti-farm junk kicks in and your drops quality decreases. just stop for a couple of days and go back.

I'm a Wammo (W/Mo).
The Daggers dropped for me two times now... I must have farmed him about 20 times when they dropped the first time. Then i got a morality boost and tried again and they dropped again :-).

I'm now trying a similar build on xuangan (?, assassin-boss to the east of maatu keep) in pongmei or what he's called... takes some time, but he can be killed easily... the kirins and undergrowths are also farmable (do not take more then one group of kirins and one group of undergrowths, it's more reliable to survive). Still got to figure out how to get that meysang-guy (?, rangerboss to the east near the entrance to the city, spawns when you get near him...) down... poison and necros kill me...

It's all about luck and endurance...

Cheers!

MadHamish.

Loved the run .... died a two times and was knocking myself in the head as to how tough things seemed. Was on edge of life with degen each group... realized forgot to put pts into healing

Next run ... Shreader Talons dropped and not health problem at all!! Thanks for the idea to hunt the vermins. Nearly full health after each group. Lotsa fun.

Old Griff Build for me I liked most with added Triple Chops after experimenting with those posted:

8 Healing
12 Str
15 Axe
4 Tact - gotta spend remaining pts somewhere

Bonettis
Cyclone
Penetrating
Triple Chop {elite}
Dolyak Sig
Healing Sig (left over from the nasty degens when I had no pts in healing
Live Vicarously
Mending

Thanks again for posting about the Vermin extermination run

::edit:: I use the STR Shield (-2 stance) so I could pump the axe higher
