Normally, i try to find two monks (1 healer one bonder or 2 healers)
3-4 Nukers of varying kinds (be it SF, Renewal, SH)
1 Tank (whatever works for the tank, obsidian flesh, stances, mesmer resist stances)
1 Necro (SS and Blood rit are a must on his skill bar)
If you use only 3 eles, grab a ranger with splinter/barrage or insight/barrage

I recomend going to all the old hot spots that have dwindled due to GW:EN

Nolonai acadamey Hard mode just open the gate kill and resign and continue Elite tomes and lots of dye and golds

Corsairs in hard mode outside of the astrallum for Gold Colossal scimitars

Ele sword farming in the Desolation

55/ss/sv dual UW runs make a good friend like most of us UW runners who loves to farm that area as much as you LOL

trappers in the UW are always fun

most profitable Destroyer core farming

What i'd like to know is....

Do you farm destroyer cores in HM or NM. Because i farmed them a lot in NM, but i don't know if they drop more in HM.

Tried HM a few times with a Monk (bonder) because i would die i think. Drops were worse.

I farm those in HM and i keep getting lots of golds, some lockpicks and quite many cores. And it doesn't matter which i do, it's just a piece of cake.

If you're doing the farm only for the Destroyer Cores you should do it in Normal Mode because the chances of Collectable Drops do not increase even in Hard Mode. If you want golds and the Cores however, I'd suggest Hard Mode.

Do Destroyers drop any special weapon skin?

No, I don't think so. Because the only skin related to the destroyers are offcourse the destroyer weapons so...

The funnest farm run i did was a 3 man (600hp , smiter, and SS) full UW clear run. Too bad we only had time for planes+labyrinth.

I said this before on another forum, but by far my best experience solo farming has been the corsairs (HM) in zehlon reach (outside astralarium in istan - NF)...this is no lie, but 1 in 10-15 runs have yielded me a colossal scimitar - I've gotten 6 so far...all my warrior hero's (on two char's) have one and I've made one my own for 55'ing (+20%ench, +5e). No r9's yet, but 2 r10's, 1 r11, 2 r12's and 1 r13...The runs are short, but you can make them longer by taking on the skales and bugs past the 1st group of corsairs, sometimes there's a chest there, too. In addition to these, there have been scores of gold axes, other types of scmiitars, staffs, off-hands, tomes, dyes (including a black dye), etc. Lots of merch food, too to keep the money rolling in and your stacks of wood, iron, cloth, etc. full. All of the other 'classic' solo runs that I've tried have not come close to the number and quality of drops from this run - god I hope anet doesn't nerf something here! I'm gonna try some of these other spots, too...hopefully they will be just as good.

I second the ZR area. I too have hit the collossal about 4 times now. Just make sure you rotate the farms or change to intenrational districts every once in a while. Even though there is supposed to be no anti farm code i have seen a considerable drop when farming that area over a long period of time.
Another area is or farm that has done me well is the W/N Byzzr farm in Lutgardis. Monk elite tomes, gothic golds, byzzrs green etc and its a cake walk of a farm.

zehlon is win, plain and simple
but yeh, theres serious antifarming there. 10 runs can put drop rate to 0 golds(as compared to 4 in a run, inclusing 3 in a row once)

Zehlon hates me...it's true. I've done the run, I'm guessing, around 100 times and not one colossal. I started soon after HM came out too. I've always done about 4-5 runs and then off somewhere else. Oh well, I'll keep trying.

I like Bergen since I get numerous golds for my wisdom title, as well as tomes, dyes, tons of dust and bone, and of course orr emblems.

zehlon is better for materials. if i hadnt started merchanting the cloth and tanned hide, i would literally have not enough space for anything else.

I have had the most luck with bergen even with all the nerfs. Also kirin farming has been good to me.
