Default 600/Famine DoA Farming - Mesmer Smiter

Well, I've never done the 600/famine farm due to not having the right class for it thats finished NF, but I do have a mesmer there and found a build for it that seems to work just as well due to Signet of Illusions. Now my questions are:

1) Are people still doing this run?
2) Is it profitable concerning time spent?
3) Would you take a mesmer smiter over a monk smiter, given no monk smiter available at the time?

Even though I haven't done it before it doesn't seem like it takes that much skill to do, just cast enchants on tank and get out of aggro range. Is this basically what the smiter does?

i prefere monk smite over mes smite because monk can get runes right
although mes can just change runeset mid-bonds to get it right
however it gives mes a *half* decent farm spot

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.. You even read the skill signet of illusions? If the mesmer has 16 illusion magic, he will also have 16 prot and 16 smiting when he cast the enchantments..

yes but monk goes 16 smite/15 prot...=600 on tank, reguardless i ment the the 16/15 setup gets them on 600hp perfect.
it doesn't have an effect on the farm but i guess it was down to my personal likings, a little extra health doesnt make any difference

uhh signet of illusions makes all spells variables based on the illusion attribute which will be 16 all the time which seems to be easier than headpiece swapping and will be 16/16 each time..

Mesmer smiter is better!

Peace and Harmony does make or break the farming run because it's rubbish. Mesmers are faster resurrecters, too.

Higher health is better. It needn't be 600hp. We even used Fertile Season from time to time to achieve maximum damage from Wrath.

i usually choose monk smiters over mesmers.. simply because the monk can bring bloodritual/bip.. well in most cases it's not neccesary, but it fastens things up.. at least for me..

i usually have something like 710 - 735 health.. which is just fine for me..

I'd bring the Mez just because they would have a rough time getting in a party otherwise

if u just farming, mesmer smiter is fine, but if u want to do full run, that would be a bad idea, unless u can hack and bring soj as well

and yes, i still do that with guildy, not very often thou since all gems dropped on price

600+smiter+famine just for farming, all 5 rooms in 40 min

600+smiter+famine+2x trapper+hp or lod monk for full run, best time 1 hour 10 min

600+smiter+famine+2x trapper+3x monks for foundry+city run, best time before seed of life was nerfed 1 hour 45 min, best time after seed nerfed 1 hour 50 min

600 just means high hp monk, i (the tank) run 2000 hp monk, with no prot spirit, 2x vasage helps with the killing, and famine needs to bring ew for trapper since it got nerfed too, and only able to do it in hm, cause some monsters don't deal enough damage in nm, and no gw:en boost items either.

Your head must be pretty far up your ass...from here I could swear that lump in your neck is probably your nose.

You try and do a run without a smiter...they are just as important as any other member of the group you worthless stuck up piece of crap.

Mesmer in a farm is ALWAYS a good thing...gives them a place in things. Hadn't considered using fertile season...that could be kinda fun o_o

signet of illusions allows you to use any pve only spell at max rank, I don't have any precise idea, but this may be really helpfull
