You want Sin tomes? Go outside Ran Musu Garden (like so often said) with your E/A.
That farm takes around 20 seconds.
U will see that u enter Ran Musu Garden whilest shadow form and sliver armor is still activated after killing the boss.

I would like to get any elite tome to drop from any of the bosses. Just one, please! However, after reading this forum, it seems that they don’t drop often enough to make it worth it for even more experienced farmers.

So far, I have farmed and farmed elite tomes, but have gotten nothing. Maybe I am farming incorrectly. My friend and I are going out to farm with our usual skills and our heroes and we eventually can kill whichever boss, but our drops are very poor.

So my question is this: Do you have to farm solo to get the good stuff? Because that’s just too boring for me. I want to farm with a friend.

If it doesn’t have to be solo then does it have to be a minimum sized group? We just die unless we bring out our whole team of heroes.

Also, do we have to go out and purchase a bunch of new skills for this task? That’s 8k right there – almost the same as buying the tome.

Is there any way that there is any hope of getting an elite tome from any boss using a full team? I just want one so that I can trade it for a mesmer tome that I need so I that can move on with my character and then I’m done with farming. I am not out to make the ultimate farming character. I don’t have the money to buy a tome either because, although I have played for more than a year, I just don’t farm normally.

1. Tomes only drop in Hard Mode
2. Farming solo = better drops = more tomes

Just a quick reminder, don't know if you remember this monk boss, but Keshel the Voracious right outside of Blacktide Den is a very easy farm, 330 VwK kills him quite easily

Scar Eater also drops elite monk tomes pretty regularly...E/A or A/E outside Vasburg Armory.

Yup, they seem to drop their green item more than elite tomes.

Your heroes will take a share of the drops. An elite tome may have dropped and a hero took it - you just don't see it. The less people in party then the more chance you have getting the drop. Usually people take heroes/henchies to help clear the surrounding mobs, flag them somewhere else (their names greyed out in party window), and then tackle the boss.

The less the better. Take a team out, see how you perform, refine skillbars, kick someone from party, rinse and repeat until you have a good, small team.

Depends on who you're going after. Sometimes, you have to invest some time, gold, etc up front to get what you want.

There is hope, but a small one. Drops are random/odd, sometimes if you're lucky it'll drop.

i farm bizzr right outside lutgardis i ussualy get like 2 elite monk tomes every like every time i farm him but you need to wait for like a few weeks untils he drops his tomes otherwise you will get noob drops

edit:you guys can also try farming johon ranger boss outisde eye of the north works good whit 55 sv necro

yah they're fairly low in drop rate.... i managed to get 2 elite monk tomes out of 30+ attempts but i did get a couple green drops and a couple cool gold drops

I've gotten 6-8 tomes from Byzzr and at least 20 of his green in hundreds of farming runs. But I've run Milthuran enough times to get at least 15 of his green staff and never once have I gotten the Eite Tome from him...

Scar Eater and Shatterstone with an obfesh earth ele.

A chance at a Monk elite and Ele elite in one short run.......and you get lots of valuable drops (not just elite tomes), a chance for 2 greens....and lots of gold.

Just beware of Gaki's. There are two possible routes to take on this run......very rarely, both will have gaki's, if that is the case, just rezone. Take the route with no gaki.

Monk would be Byzzr outside of Lutgardis Conservatory in Factions.
