you can still solo FoW in HM, at least with good grouping. i haven't had much of a problem since the update. Kcp suggested a change, however, if you're having trouble: switch Mending for Defile Flesh.
as far as solo-vanquishable areas go, i have cleared Deldrimor Bowl numerous times, haven't tried other places (no drive. :P ) but i'm sure there are vanquishable ones.

as far as the Underworld goes: first off, i highly suggest checking out Pariah Hellfire's thread on the UW... iz gud. to be perfectly honest, i rarely enter the UW in HM anymore. just too tedious. NM is better monetarily anyway.

Spirit Bond calculates its damage counter (60) before Protective Spirit, so yes, it works. Mantids drop rubies because it's theorized that anything that can drop materials has a tiny chance of a ruby drop.

Would it be possible to try and get some pictures of your UW run up? I'm having some difficulty, even after reading the other awesome 55 Nero UW walkthrough. I suppose I just don't know where to start or what types of enemies I can safely attempt to drop

Do you have any luck in the Tomb of the Primeval Kings? If so I'd be interested in hearing your strategy.

just a note, in the 55 build with HB and SB, instead of running 9 healing and 9 prot, you can take one off healing and still have the same +7 HB and +3 mending as if you did 9, and you can take one off soul reaping and then you can put one more in prot which gives you longer PS and better SB, then have one left over for smiting prayers for balth spirit. the balth spirit may not be effected, but I'm pretty sure running 8 healing and 10 prot is actually better...let me know what you think

updated the guide to reflect the HB buff, sorry about being so slow on that one. anyway, i'm working on an easier way to farm UW, with SV. still in HM of course. if it works, it'll be in the guide.

Tried UW but as soon as I got the quest I was able to clear 1 group but my energy got drained on the 2nd group after clearing aatxes and my PS got interrupted and died. How do you manage energy after taking quest? don't you get drained?

you do get e-denied, but grasps die so fast it's not a problem. if you pull with SS and autoattack the one with SS, 3 should die, if not, only keep up PS and SB and wand them.make sure you have at least 30 energy before pulling a group with SS, and don't spam your spells vs. grasps.

For what it's worth, as an addition to this guide, farming in Scoundrel's Rise is extremely lucrative vs time spent. Every time I've gone I've received either two golds and/or a gold and a dye, on top of normal merch gear and materials. For the very short time it takes, it is a very profitable venture (though Deldrimor Bowl is still my favorite).

I've only tried fow on normal mode, and when I run the fow build I find it extremely difficult to kill the monk. I killed it on one run, but most of the time I get it down to just the monk even though I'm doing all of the things that you said I should do, IP monk ss warrior then ss another warrior etc. Is it actually easier to kill them in hard mode because they attack faster or something?

i've found it nigh impossible to kill shadow monks in Normal Mode, but they're Easy in Hard Mode because (you guessed it!) the warriors attack so damn fast.

ok now my problem is everything else dies and only the monks are left...it keeps happening with the second group, the pair of monks and shadow beasts, the beasts die off before the monks can die, and I'm only IPing one monk

if you want to kill those groups of two beasts, two monks (i just avoid them, they're a true pain) you'll need one or two warriors from nearby ggroups as energy and SS batteries.

you might want to add the titans near exuro, there fairly easy with ss and ip, tons of them can be cleared, and the shadow ppl if you keep a cover ench on. The mesmers like to use shatter ench.

1st Note: Great guide! It helped me so much money wise. I can actually farm something for once AND I finally have enough money for my other character's farm builds.

Quick question, Could you possibly set up a solo build for Gates of Kryta HM? For some reason it seems as though there are just so many of them that SB ends way too early.

I see that this is a great guide but i have only Prophecies so which skill can replace Spirit Bond. I just want to farm Uw or FoW. So please if you can tell me great solo skill build only for Prophecies. Thanks in advance.
