First of all, great guide!

2nd, do you think that the SV build will work in the Uw in Hard Mode?

even with modifications, SV should stay out of the UW. the reason? graspings. you'd have to kill them one at a time, which gives them enough time to charge up adrenaline for skull crack, which will royally screw you up. swapping in plague touch is totally impossible as well, unless you want to totally unbalance the build. as far as SV goes, it should stay out of the UW/FoW. SS is by farm the more reliable skill for these places.

do you mean to prevent them from attacking you? as in how to hide behind benton? that much is simple: aggro a group and run onto the little ledge behind the spirit Benton. the aatxe will get stuck between benton and the edge of the ledge, and will be frozen. this is actually an immensely easy way to farm hm UW. you can bring any high-damage build (i prefer blood spiker) and body block the aatxe and nuke them. nearly any build can do it, eventually. it's not very proftiable, however. you rely on 13 monsters to make you 1plat. i would write a guide on it, but it's boring and usually doesn't make back the entry fee.

i'm up for any kind of challenge you got, pariah. your 55 SV guide inspired me to use parasite with SV, and it does wonders for me. it rips right through any kind of healing, including Veldt beetle Queens, who i thought were unbeatable. feel free to add me to friends in game or pm me on forums with that spot (or any other spots you feel like sharing. ) my IGN is Noodle Bury Pie, as you may or may not have noticed in the screens. btw, anyone can feel free to pm me on forums or in game with questions or suggestions. keep on farming everyone!

well pariah, i hate to tell you i've already done it. i use the boss farming build on pvxwiki. i got myself a shak jarin's sword for a meleemancer build i'm workin on. i like your challenge, but here's the question: do you kill the hekets + brambles on your way to shak jarin? i would hope so, because most people who run him run right by them. i think that's cheating.

sounds like you have the route down..consider this an addition to your spots then I guess..you can do it in Hard Mode right?

any monkey and his banana can do it in Normal Mode..I WANT SCREENS!..lol.

Very impressive guide with quite a few areas that my necro has never soloed so far. Thank you very much

I have one question regarding the armour: do you use the 15 AL set with all of your builds, even those that don't rely on Spirit Bond?

yep, because i find no need to buy another set of armor. any hit outside Prot Spirit will kill you anyway, especially in HM. ofc, if you want a margin for error, go ahead and get AL60 armor, maybe you'll live for 1 hit w/o prot spirit. but i'd rather not bother.

Default screens!

well, i finally got around to takin some screens from my run... i'll put em in the main guide soon. i used the SV/IP build, but no Shak Jarin's sword on that run. i do have a shiny one sitting in storage though, i love th skin. Black Ornate Scimitar. anyway, on to the run. indeed, i started here:

then i grabbed the oh-so-useful plant bounty! whoo! (i shouldn't be sarcastic, because there are like 6 enchanted brambles for that bounty.)

then, the killing began: nuking some enchanted brambles:

killing hekets, and a nice gold robe:

the first glimpse of giants and minos:

teh nuking of the giants:

a funny glitch, someone misnamed a mino as a lion:

minos + giants cleared:

shak jarin getting totally own3d:

all mah drops form the run:

not a bad one. *NOTE* i DID die to make the shak jarin fight easier, be that cheating or not. 13hp ftw!

Thank you for answering.
In fact, I already have AL60 armour for all of my characters playing 55/105hp-style, because I'm used to mixing in the superior runes with my normal amour for ordinary PvE - a relic of the times when sup runes were so expensive you didn't want to buy them twice.

I'm now facing the situation that for some of these chars I'd have to buy a third armour set in order to be able to use Spirit Bond - which is not a question of money at all but a question of storage space.
So I was simply wondering whether I could get rid of the old high def 55hp-armour altogether and still use all of my other farm builds with the low def one

Hey, any alternative for those who want to farm UW and have Prophecies only? (We can't have Spirit Bond)

Default proph only? no problem!

you can easily farm HM UW with proph only. there are a few skils you can swap in: Guardian (not recommended, relatively useless in HM) Orison of Healing (i like this one, a cheap, spammable full heal) or vigorous Spirit (i don't like this skill, but ome people do. heals you for 1/4th of your hp whenever you atk or cast, which can be useful. P.S. i wouldn't use this skill with an axe/Sword equipped. the aatxes' riposte damage will negate most of the healing.) any of those variations have been proven to work in HM, but Spirit Bond is in the guide because in m opinion it is the easiest to manage.
