Scourgewind, Elder Guardian outside Leviathan Pit is doable, but VERY difficult because of Rot Wallow patrol, I have only manage to kill it once.

I wouldn't label it a bad idea, but then I was being slow and methodical rather than fast and furious in my approach to Whispering Rit Lord.

You don't need it if you don't intend to kill Saltsprays. I killed them out of a thirst for vengeance because they snuck up on me the first time I tried this boss.

I found that two of them was no problem but that three tended to nuke me a bit too hard.

I wanted to go through this thread before it gets much longer to find the fullest explanations for the various bosses, then link to them from the Hit List on the front page, with the end goal of making this thread easier to navigate for the information you want.

VB code as far as I can tell (I'm not really that familiar with it) makes that really unwieldy. So, I am not going to do it, though any readers are invited to show me why I am wrong.

Your buying 15k Luxon armour and dying it black... but can't afford to splash on a worthless <3k green? That and you could just farm Jayne and get a near identical version

basically what you do is use the text to create a url link. if you look in the upper right corner of every post, you will see a number, that is the url for the exact post. here is an example.

Byzzr Wingmender

Drops: Byzzr's Benediction
Energy +12 (req. 9 Divine Favor)
HSR All Spells (10%)
HP +30

Rating: Easy
Time: 2 Minutes
Location: Melandru's Hope

How To: Exit from Lutgardis Conservatory into Melandru's Hope. Run to his little cave. The trick here is to not go into the cave, but go on the side of the cave and aggro him through the wall. When i did this, my aggro bubble actually never touch byzzr but he still aggroed me. I just moved back, and he slowly follow until he was out of the cave. You dont want to kill him at the front of the cave, because of neighboring patrols and the fact that you might aggro the hidden enemies in the cave. You wanna be at the side of the cave, where the patrol can't get to you.

Look Out: Look out for dreamweavers as they can cause -11 degen and deep wound. Not good.

ill start by helping hanego with the first post in this fashion.

P.S: sorry for double post but i didn't really wanna put this information in with the previous post.

Chkkr Locust Lord

Drops: Chkkr's Pincers
Damage +15% HP>50%
Vampiric 3/1
HP +30

Rating: Easy
Time: 2 Minutes
Location: Melandru's Hope

How To: Exit from Lutgardis Conservatory into Melandru's Hope. Run to his location. You will need a long or flat bow to pull him towards you. You want to make sure that nobody is around him when you hit him with your bow, or else the group around him will be aggroed even though hes not really connected to their aggro and vice versa. After gaining his aggro pull him back to about the location in the screenshot and start touching. Keep up your stances and use throw dirt. You wanna use OoB at about 35 energy on this boss because you energy will start to run low as his health begins to run low.

P.S: i hope the moderators understand why this is a separate post.

Chkkr Brightclaw

Drops: Brightclaw
Lightning Damage 11-22 (req. 9 Spawning)
HCT Restoration Magic (20%)
HSR Restoration Magic (20%)

Rating: Easy
Time: 5 Minutes
Location: Melandru's Hope

How To: Exit from Lutgardis Conservatory into Melandru's Hope. Run to his location. You will need a long or flat bow to pull him towards you. The ideal location for this boss to be is on the stairs. Pull him up to you with your bow and dont switch weapon sets until he is in range and starts attacking you. This is when you switch to your touching set and touch away. During the course of the fight, Brightclaw will attempt to put down another recuperation. If he manages to get recuperation down on the stairs, just move back a little so he is "out of the area" (go to isle of the nameless if you dont know what this means) of the spirit. This will cause his spirit light weapon and spirit light to be highly ineffective and inefficient. The only skill that really dangerous in spirit light weapon, as he will more often than not, gain all of his health back. Other than touching away, keep your stances up, keep your throw dirt up, and use OoB as soon as it recharges everytime.

Look Out: There is a patrol that will come by made up of undergrowth, kirin, and dragon moss. They will start attacking the boss, so you start attacking them, b/c you want to score the kill not them.

HCT Blood Magic (20%)
HSR Blood Magic (20%)

Location: Rhea's Crater

How To: Exit from The Aurios Mines into Rhea's Crater. Milthuran is right outside. Aggro his group away from the luxon priests, and try to get the to ball up around Milthuran. Touch away, keep your stances up, use OoB as soon as it recharges.

Hanego's Post #33
Yeah, that is helpful.

I was reading the "How-To vB Code" thing and it didn't have that in it. I don't really want to go through the whole thread and find the best/most complete write-up of each boss, then mouseover the number, write it down, and put it in, but I don't see a way to do it more quickly.

I may start tomorrow.

@Knowledge: I think those are good thumbnail summaries, but I am going to ask you to hold off on posting them in droves until I'm ready to integrate. I'll PM you, and we can work them in then.

Hanego you can right-click the post number and 'copy shortcut'
then paste in the link

Knowledge: really great guides with great format, Chkkr Brightclaw IS easier though if you change a few things though. You can leave from Jade Flats(Kurz) and just head down there with no speed buffs at all (allows sig of agony and plague touch). You can also distracting shot his spirit (thereby basically nuking all 3 of his heals). The 3rd thing is, and I'll edit this post tonight with a map of where to be, that you can completely avoid that patrol while fighting him which of course greatly increases your chances for a green drop.

hey thanks. umm...i guess you could go from jade flats, but i like to solo all 3 bosses in one shot, i know you can't see the morale boost, but if you could, it would say 6%.

@hanego: ok sure.

Gotcha, I've always just targetted one (I'm very goal oriented), but I do know that a lot of folks go for all three so disregard that part basically I just get against the wall out of aggro of stairs/patrol. They go by once, then I pull him to wall and touch just to heal until he get distracted while casting spirit. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for killing more stuff, and there is always more than 20 ways to skin a cat, I just try to pare it down to most simple.
ok, this is just faster:

Yeah, I agree, nice easy thumbnail format.

Byzzr Wingmender

Thanks for the help with formatting this properly for vB boards. I'll probably include whatever the 'best' guides or advice on individual bosses is that I find, which could be several links.

I'm really pleased that this thread has turned out to be so useful. Hats off to all teh contributors.

I haven't seen a specific confirmation for Jayne Forestlight as such, although I know of a few people (ie mistical miss' drop rate list earlier in this thread) who have successfully completed the run.

Well IMO, I would rate Jayne at medium, not because of a difficult kill, purely because it is one of the more difficult bosses to lure successfully. I would try to publish a guide, however mistical posted a few pointers that typically make for a higher chance of successfully luring Jayne out.

The trick that worked for me, is a mixture of dodging from one side to the other, which tends to cluster the enemies closer together than the original spawn does and this; if Jayne is close to your agro, but a bowshot would still agro others as well;

try a lure shot, followed by activating dodge and run a few paces as if almost to break agro, then stop for the briefest of moments, then run again. This has worked on more than one occasion where it has broken agro for all other enemies except Jayne, who continues to follow, allowing you to setup for the kill.
