i make about 300-700 gold on my runs that take 3-5 minutes and about 2k in half an hour. is that a good ratio? it feels like more to me then droknar trolls, which is a mere 100 gold per run and 5-7 minute runs.

most farming places earn around 15k per hour

some even exceed that, CoF runs is about 20-25, DoA runs were 30k per hour. could be less now

For Me as an Elementalist 100K/day makes me happy

raptor farming can do 3+ golds per run (selling at 750g unidentified) or selling the mods and all the random merch stuff.

edit: an yes, hard mode will dramatically increase the amount of gold you get.

small obvious tip :

if you aim for golds (to sell unids 7=5K) then farming vaettirs on HM is a better choice - they drop very often, up to 4 (well 5 but that happens rarely) per run which takes about 5minutes on average, easy re-zone and way more different item skins than raptor farming

but you do need an Ele for that

well farming raptors is much faster and can give you 3 golds per run... and yes you can get less but farming vettari u also can get less than 4/5

true raptors are faster but from my exp. <and I farmed both till I was rank 8 on each> when farming vaettirs you get 2-4 golds often and empty runs happen rarely when compared to farming raptors

so I dont mind adding a bit of time for more consistent gold drops on a long run

and for me farming vaettirs is less boring (maybe its the calming efect of the snowy scenery) when I have to go back to the raptor cave for some reason like event farming I feel like I wanna throw up

well you guy seem knowledge about farm. i have a monk with 55 armor and build that farms blessed griffins outside of camp rankor. i get like 15 on me per run, that's about as good as droknar trolls, so why there more popular? i have found droknar trolls to be complete crap farm runs. when i compare my farming spot to others i never so the same good results, but people make 40k+ a day doing the popular runs what is my problem

i'm not having problems with my build, it's just i don't seem to see how people get huge amounts of $$$ when i do the same thing i get very little, say droknar trolls, one of the most popular farm spots in history gives a very tiny amount of money, but people still say they get load of money each day from farm them and other super popular places

I'm not at all saying you're having problems with the build, I'm saying the build itself sucks as a farming build. If people are telling you they're making a lot of money with 55 (outside 55/smite) then they are playing a mean joke on you.

The point that may be confusing you is the fact that droks trolls is not a popular farming spot (maybe for leveling), it has not been for a long time.

Well, Fahranur takes about 20-25mins a run, i kill 3 bosses on that and get 700-1k sunspear points per run (never counted the actual ammount, but around that), average income is 3-4k a run + possiple perfect mods to sell and elite & normal tomes (warrior, ele, necro, dervish and mesmer). I can run almost 3 full runs in a hour so i would say i make ~10k a hour from there, lucky run and it's alot more.
edit: Also alot of normal runes drop on each run (3-5), mainly survivor and radiants ones. In long run those add kinda alot to the income from there. /edit

Then again, i don't "farm" there because good money, but because it's place to farm money with half decent rate and sunspear points at the same time.

And well, i don't 55 it, i 105hp it. But i could do it 55 if i wanted.

Fahranur is pretty meh, it drys of fairly quick but is a good beginner farm. A step up from troll farming but not by much.
