I've searched in the forum for farms that involve killing afflicted so that we get a chance to get some plagueborn weps.... i found nothing!

so my only way is to run chests... wat i really dont like very much...

soo is there anyway to farm afflicted?

maybe with Unstoppable SF?

Srry if there is any thread about this that i've missed...

With infinite SF, yes you should be able to farm them. The worst afflicted skill out there is Order of Apostasy (Afflicted Necromancer).
But since that spell requires the monster to hit you, it fails as well.

So it looks like you're all set to HM farm those Afflicted!
Since Sliver Armor could get slow, you might want to look into other ways of damage dealing.

I'd imagine anything that isn't crippled by OoA and the afflicted soul explosion would work fine. An A/E perma-SF could work, with healing added to counter the soul explosion.

I haven't used Shadow Form myself but i'd assume you'd sitll take damage from the soul explosions as they're untargetted?

idk maybe bringing some healing skill to counter afflicted explosion... can someone try this?? im still boxing my sin to lvl 20 to farm xD

shadow refuge works great for healing, since you'll have 16 shadow arts. I use shadow refuge a lot.

There is also the problem of Afflicted rangers and throw dirt.

SF nuker should work fine, but going to need refuge in the build, or some other healing to counter the...I think 60 dmg, AoE Soul explosion.

Ive been lazy and dragging a hero with extinguish and purifying veil (helps vs multiple chained throw dirts), but trying a few options for soloing.

As far as places to farm them, Tanaki Temple would probably work well.

i tried them outside kaeneng with my assassin, managed to kill a few with nukes..but they scatter to much and the healers...heal..then i tried sliver and managed to kill a few more but healers are still a problem..as far as health went..shadow refuge works well...also death charge for emergency.

shadow refuge should be able to counter the damage u take as long as u keep attacking

farmed dragons throat mission and got quite far b4 timer ran out

Also, go with ele skills. Dagger attacks will be your downfall against Monks (due to retribution)

you could try the E/A or A/E Shadowform farmer with either sliver(not recommended) or fire nukes(recommended)
just remember to bring some sort of self heal, Aura/Glyph of Restoration, Shadow Refuge, etc.
also get as much health as possible to make sure the soul explosions dont kill you.
oh and be careful not to kill too many afflicted at once as a single self heal wont be able to deal with tons of deaths going simultaniously.

I'm in the middle of testing perma sf on my mes, I can successfully farm outcast already, even bosses in rhea crater, today I'll try afflicted, imo it shouldn't be that hard, as I could already easily chest run shenzun tunnels and sunjiang district

Ive run Way of Perfection as my self heal for farming afflicted with my perma SF dagger build. Works fine, 38 health from each critical hit, crit often enough so that even if I take multiple afflicted explosions at once (if death blossom kills multiple at once) I am quickly back up to full health. Its also more than enough to offset damage from retribution.

I have tested these 3 different skills that defeat [skill]order of apostasy[/skill] are:
[skill]stone sheath[/skill], [skill]stone striker[/skill], and [skill]Greater Conflagration[/skill]

I would also assume since they miss SF would work fine so really with minimal healing you should be all set to go just the damage dealing is gonna be the tough part. I will see if I can figure something out that works I've cleared large amounts of them with a 600 necro on shing jea island before with careful pulls and quick enchant recasts.
A skill I need to test still is [skill]mist form[/skill] I am assuming it will strip it but not sure mist form should work like shadowform imo.

oh well in fact it's easy as hell, when I thought they were the most annoying monsters in faction

I use [spirit of failure][empathy][diversion][channeling][shadow refuge] rest is standard, 4+ inspi 16 dom 11 shadow rest FC +5e 20% enchant spear 20/20 dom focus
basically [spirit of failure] on sin or war by default, they will be your energy machine

recast on recharge
kill rit (healers :x) first
maintain empathy and diversion on recharge they'll go down fast once [life] and [spirit transfer] are diverted
then monk, empathy followed by diversion immediately, it will divert his [rof] now he is useless

kill the rest

I haven't tried multi aggro or place where you could have several rits (like a rit boss + his mob), I guess it may take more time or even be impossible due to them healing eachother, will test that too

note on the damage, in HM, afflicted soul explosion from level 26 non boss monsters deals 97 damage to my mes (60 armor), I suppose level 30 bosses shouldn't deal more than 300 damage, and since you're killing them 1 by 1, no chance of chain killing resulting in killing yourself

drops are not bad, lot of mat, runes and potential plagueborn stuff

edit : tip don't forget to attack when you see [shadow refuge] blinks
also it is basically the same build used for outcast
