Have a look at these topics, all show how to solo in the underworld with sin
Some people say they get an average of 10 ectos with this run which seems to be a lot more then any other uw farm
I'm in the proccess of trying them myself and even though i'm not doing too well I am making fair profits from the runs

@ OP - That's the build i used for smite runs on my dervish, and they were really easy as the build outputs 140+ dmg, gl farming.

whatcha need to do is get a Sin char A/E and you can have 0 dmg at all times. then you can slowly farm tons of ectos.

He did not ask for a derv build, he asked if a derv was the best way to solo UW, so I told him no and gave him evidence of another type of farm being better

...did you not take grammar? A floating ablative of means often implies that with the ablative, you are using the ablative to do the action. In this case, with the dervish, you are farming the UW. He didn't ask for a sin. Jesus people, stop making humanity fail more, were already bad as it is.

At the OP: Balthazar Solo is good, but Moone made some fantastic guides that can actually solo the mindblades, so you can recreate the ever popular sin farm on your good old dervish, mmkay?

Anyone with half a mind can tell that A/E Is the best way to UW solo farm. With the new shadowform change you would have to be nuts not to try this at least once. Sins can infact not farm smites but then again smites are crummy drops but sins can farm everything else (cept Chargged Blackness) in Hard mode so i do not see why anyone would think that its overated.
But before i would proparly stay away from UW farming i am simply taking opertunity to earn a ton of cash while i can. Once shadowform gets nerfed (which it will) i would simply go back to running ppl for my money.

Works just as well as a Balthazar elite form but with the added bonus of being able to escape the hexes of coldfire nights. But if you can find a build that farms mindblades as well/instead which i thoght was not possible. But i suppose Vow of Silence and all other skills that are in the build that i posted might work. Give it a try

Guys....I seriously doubt they're going to nerf the A/E build....one of my guildies and I have realized they rarely nerf many skills(except Penetrating Shot, which screwed up a Totem Axe farming build). Did ANET nerf SF? NO! Did they nerf SS? NO! So just stop saying, "Its gonna get nerfed, just watch"

Learn to observe what ANET does, and stop making your own predictions(more than half of which are more than likely wrong) And I can bet you they won't nerf the A/E build with the next month. More than likely, most of them are busy developing GW2, and every once in a while(like when they updated the PvE and PvP skills) they'll update something.

Anet gaves us the new Shadowform, they won't be nerfing anything any longer from what it seems... They knew what they were doing when they decided to make Shadow form last longer. So knowing that they knew exactly what they were giving us, I am sure they won't take it away. Enjoy your A/E Mindblade farming, as it will most likely be here to stay. It is a good thing that anyone can make some major money now with just alittle effort. People now have money to buy stuff, so thats good for everyone, people selling, and for the people that want nice stuff. I can almost pretty much say Anet won't be nerfing anything from now on since the new balance system. I mean, why would they make such a big change in one skill that was already overpowered, and end up nerfing it back? As I said, they knew what they were doing, and that tells you everything... All I can say is, the game is way more fun now, and people are actually enjoying it more than they used to. So what if people are gettin alot of ectos? why not have some fun? So everyone is wasting their time complaining about the A/E mindblade farmers, since it is here to stay... Stop crying, stop being lazy, get yourself a sin, and make some damn money already so you can be riding on the same boat as most of us. If you don't have factions, sucks for you.

As for Dervish, they ain't all that great for farming really. Using melee for farming in my opinion is not great for making money, they can be fun to try them out, but I wouldn't count on a dervish or warrior to make me money, they are a tad be limited compared to other professions. As for Smites, their drop rate is terrible compared to Mindblades. I probably won't farm Smites again. You would be lucky if you can get 4-7 ectos in an hour or so farming Smites, but Mindblades you get that in a one 30 minute run. Making a new sin and leveling them up is well worth the extra hours, it is mainly an investment since you can make some major cash with them in no time, and farm just about anywheres. Everyone knows he asked for a Dervish build, but people are just pointing out that Dervish won't make you as much money, just a fraction of what a sin can make. Farming is all about making money right? It is fun to try out different professions and builds for farming, but in end you will be using the best build/s to make your money. So, why not just go straight for the gold and make an assassin? I see no problem with people suggesting the best way to make money, it is only trying to help people out, no reason to flame them for that.
