After some trial and error, I have arrived upon a build that works for me...
It's the second build in my previous post, but with drunken master in Sliver Armor's spot. At my dwarf rank (7, I think), it's a unstrippable, 80second 30% speed boost, which can get me from the chamber through to the plains usually, with one 200g Hunter's Ale. Killing is super quick once at the plains (lava font is freaking awesome), because I use a major fire rune on one armor piece. I use a Shield of Regen protter, an Ineptitude antimelee mesmer, and a Curses necro to clear graspings.

i use two eles with this build, one with [grasping earth] and one with [ward against melee] and a N/Rt healer with [enfeebling blood] (just to make sure everyone is weakened) to clear the first area. it works really well even if a couple aatxes decide not to break aggro.

also i'm not sure if anyone else has figured this out, but if you happen to not pay attention and get obs flesh interrupted, and end up dying, run to an area that you've already cleared before you die. you can unflag your heroes and they can make it all the way to the spawning pools to rez you. just don't select them in your party window. when you do that, you watch things from their point of view. i'm sure you know what i'm talking about with that. anyway if you don't watch them, it's almost as if the game forgot there were monsters in those areas and they just run through everything and come to where you are. don't reflag them next to you because they're dumb and will try to take a straight-line path to the flag. if you just unflag them, they will run through the mountains with no problem to your corpse. if you just watch your radar and and wait for their names to become "ungreyed", you can start flagging them to avoid anything you haven't killed yet. as long as you don't watch them during their run, this works everytime. then you can reflag them off the radar and continue your run.
