Thank you very much for the answers!

I found a way to kill the smites- I use silver armor and FDH, and when there's only one or two left I use Lava Font too.
Should I switch [Sliver Armor] and [mark of rodgort] for [meteor shower] and [bed of coals]? It won't slow the run?

I tried to look at the video earlier but it didn't work, and now i'm trying again but it won't show up, it says that the video is currently unavailable... I hope it will work later.

Ive been doing this build for quite sometime, and getting quite alot of ectos. My average run in clearing the plains is 30-40mins. I would like to thank donut for this brilliant build.

I was wondering, is it worth me farming plains with assasin(a/e or a/mes)? or just stay doing it with ele?

if you're killing the smites using the sliver armor build, you should aggro some coldfires, also. this will help you keep constant damage from sliver armor. you have to make sure you keep [obsidian flesh] up at all times though.

it sounds to me like you're not running far enough in the chamber to avoid the aatxes. you have to keep moving away from them until they completely break aggro. i.e. run almost all the way back to the cliff before you begin casting your damage skills. when i began doing this run, i made the same mistake. i would watch the radar and as soon as the aatxes started running back, i would begin casting. every now and then they would turn right back around and own me. using a cupcake is definitely the way to go with this run also, as it is an irremovable speed boost.

for the run, when you're done killing the smites, don't run back to the starting chamber. keep running straight when you get back to the aatxes and patrolling darknesses. there's a bridge you'll cross over and it will take you to the entrance of the mountains. even if you don't kill the smites, this is still an easier way to reach the mountains. after you cross the bridge but before you get to the room with the big hole in it, there's a nook on your right which has a bunch of crystals in it. this is a safe area if you go all the way to the wall. from here, using "ctrl", you can see the charged blackness move toward the entrance of the mountains then back away. once they leave the entrance, you can begin the crazy run through the mountains.

hope this helps.

a lot of my guildies have been using a sin to do this lately but their times to clear the plains aren't that much better than mine using this build. plus with an ele, you can clear the spawning pools also. i don't think a sin can do that nearly as easily. i could be wrong though as i haven't tried with a sin. both can do the bone pits though.

Thank you very very much for the tips!

I'm gonna try the bridge thing later, I hope it will work.

I can clear the chamber and the smites, but can't make it up the mountain. Less than halfway up, there is always a group of 3 charged blacknesses waiting there, last time with a nightmare.
I waited at the entrance for them to go up the hill, then ran (hit 1 trap) but always get stopped there. I had run buff on (storm djinn) but it didnt matter. I got shocked then spiked. Do you just run by them or is there a trick?

You are going the wrong way at the fork. That group is up the to the left, if you look to your right there is a passage through, then it curves around and goes back up to the left, and meets with the path from the left side of the fork. Thats the passage you want to take. Be careful right at the end of your path, occasionally the behemoths completely bodyblock it. I usually can run around through the group of blacknesses, but i use SF sin instead of terra. Hope that helps you.

So, when Donut first posted this build, I farmed my ele a FoW set in 9 days with this build
[build=E/Mo][Obsidian Flesh][Glyph of Swiftness][Stoneflesh Aura][Glyph of Concentration][Meteor Shower][Bed of Coals][Flame Djinn's Haste][Balthazar's Spirit][/build]

Since then, I've been using it on and off to make some cash to fund skill hunter titles. I revisited this thread, and see discussion of newer builds... what build do you all use now?

something like this?
[build=E/Mo][Obsidian Flesh][Glyph of Swiftness][Stoneflesh Aura][Flame Djinn's Haste][Sliver Armor][Lava Font][Mark of Rodgort][Balthazar's Spirit][/build]

I think tomorrow I will try using heroes, and using an ale+Drunken Master instead of Flame Djinn's Haste to achieve an unstrippable speed boost with long duration.. would that work?

Above build will work great for blades and maybe pools if your careful. Not so great on the smites as they take a while to get down with sliver, font and FjH.

Cupcakes are the easiest non skill speed buff if your prepared to buy them, DM while drunk would work well, remember to turn off post processing or whatever stops drunken screen effects. If using cupcakes ward of stability will allow you to do the pools easily. If not running pools or smites sliver is not needed to kill anything really, just helps.

honestly, i just use a standard terra tank build now. i use heroes to clear the chamber and then run through the mountains with a cupcake. from there on it's just a regular terra tank for all the various areas.
