Chaos Plains has always been best place to farm ectos tbh, getting 5-7ec ts a run was aweasomeuntill, recently after taking a large brek from I noticed that the drop rate wen dramatically down...2-3 a run which is crap...I made another week break....without farming at all and the drop i stil the same....so fix'd yes??? If yes farm your head off untill it becomes second Ice wastes. :P

Nerf???? Nah more like Over farmed+Luck, same crap happen when W/rit burst onto the scene, for a couple of weeks i had great runs then my luck turned to shit, u should have never taken a break, now everyone is creating a sin.

Definatly bad luck, first few times I tried farming Chaos Plains my Ecto rate was only 2-3 per run, last 2 recent runs I had 7 ecto then 8 ecto.

last 2 runs for me gave 7 and 5 ecto's, so it's just bad luck.

Its all based on luck imo..
(a friend of mine got 15 last day on one run, i hate that prick)

Ok, just bad luck then, need to do bit more runs and see, its just that during my "break" there were several updates were hey might have hindered the ecto drop rate, seems not.

There's always gonna be a small possibility for getting no ectos. Theres 9? Dream Riders (Not including the groups of 2 Riders+Wailing Lord) so thats 162 mindblades. Say they have an around 5% chance to drop an ecto, in theory that should net you aproximately 8 ectos but though you usually get somewhere around that many, your luck can make you several ectos richer/poorer.

omg stop posting threads about nerf every time you get nothing. Do you SERIOUSLY think A-Net would say "Hey let's nerf Chaos Plains, it's overfarmed", right after they extended Shadow Form duration? It was already overfarmed before that.

When I was writing Art of Underworld I have went in UW about 50 times in 2 weeks, at least 3 times a day. At the end I would get nothing. I've even done a FULL UW RUN and got less than 6 ectos total (me + partner). But you know what? I took a break from the game, tried it once more a month later, and got about 10 ectos just doing Labyrinth/Smites and my way to the Chaos Plains.

indeed, i think we need to make a sticky with the name: IF YOU GET no [fill in the thing you are farming for] ONCE YOUR FARM ISN'T NERVED.....

to make sure those treads won't show op every single day....

It's called (bad)luck. Even if something have 90% change to drop, you can have 60 kills out of 100 without the item you was after. Changes for that to happen are small, but it can still happen.

I alwayz thought lootscale affected the ecto dropz....so it took me 45 mins to kill them wit my modded a/e...............now i think ima kill them all quickly bu recenly my runs alwayz give me 1-2 ectos so i have real bad luck...

Again, it is just luck.

I have done 30+ runs now and an average of 3-4 ecto's a run. Sometimes 0-1 and sometimes 6-7.

Yesterday I was starting to think the same thing. I had several runs in the 0-3 range. Then I had a run with 11. Just luck methinks.
