[Farming Build;OwZTkY/85R6zj0ZIDeorYJi7AA]

I have been using this build to farm Tombs of the Primevil Kings and it has been working great (I almost said Unknown kings O.o if I didn't notice that I might have posted it).

I decided to try it out in UW, namely the Chaos Planes, although I took out aftershock and put in dark escape, everything was going well, all I had to remember was, to hope that the graspings don't kill too much of my energy >_> until I got to what I assumed was the entrance to the chaos planes, there were charged blackness (is that it) in front of the entrace, I waited 5 mins to see if they would move but nope, they stayed in the same position.

I decided to try and run using dark escape but....when I did I got knockdown and hurt, I have no idea if the charged blackness hurt me or if it was a trap by the behemoths.

My questions are, 1) Do the charged blackness just knock you down or do they hurt you as well (in any case, if they dont hurt you, just knock you down, you are still screwed because of the traps I assume) and 2) should I take out aftershock and Teiani's Crystals for Dash (since even though it's 3 seconds, it should be fast enough to get away from any traps or the charged blackness) and a anti knockdown skill (if there is any PvE only anti knockdown skills anyway)

1) Charged Blacknesses knock you down with [Shock]. So yes, they knock you down AND hurt you.
It's easy to avoid, as you run faster than them with Dash. To get rid of the Blacknesses at the entrance, stand on the hill where the Obsidian Behemoths are. Stand a little bit to the right, so when you aggro them they will run up the hill. Once you aggroed them, run down the left slope of the hill with Dash. This should give you enough time to enter the Planes. Keep using Dash till you shake the Blacknesses off.

the run up the Hill when you aggro them O.o, don't get how that works

I guess I should bring a anti knockdown skill though incase they do get me once

No, just use [dash] and run past, they can't catch you. Just make sure you first wait for your SF cycle again, get it do it's got the full duration (to avoid stopping among the charged blacknesses). Use dash on recharge and if you're unlucky you'll get hit by one [shock].
Remember to watch for traps

And if you're to slow to run to the Chaos Plains entrance the Blacknesses will be there. If you're fast enough they wont.

I'm a bit slow >_> I'm new though at trying to get to chaos planes.

I guess I'll just have to take a gamble and try it and if i am lucky, I will get there, if I am unlucky.....hello knock down >_>

lucky though, I have been using tombs so I can use that for money when I want to try UW but I'm short on funds

Just dark escape thru noth groups, make sure you dont run past then in a tight spot too, make sure you are far away from them, like, dont run past too close and you should be fine, dont get stuck.

As for me I am a damn cheater I just buy an essence and steamroll thru everything with A/Me.

Familiarize yourself with the run first by watching the two videos posted at http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10293844.

I'm not 100%, but I think they come to the behemoths (next to the weird circular chamber) once, then go back to the top-ish of the mountain again. I always wait for them to go back, then run through.

You do not need Shadow step and you are better with earth attunement than sliver. What they mean by run up the hill is aggro them, pull them away from the entrace then use dash to run threw them to the Chaos plains. I would suggest the fire build, the attacks recharge faster and will do more damage.

On the contrary if he's using earth he almost HAS to use sliver. That's the main reason of going with earth in the first place.

Well, today I tried the run twice,

first run, I got there in one piece ( i am using both dash and dark escape now, it helps although the run is slow but I have no problem with a slow run) but I ended up forgetting about SF while aggroing the banished riders...and died before I could reactivate it (one second away as well)

Second run, I did well, I even got 2 ectos in a row from Bladed Aatxes (and I have never gotten an ecto from them until today).....but I ended up judging a opening badly between some behemoths, when I realised I couldn't get through I tried to run to the other opening, got there but before I could activate dash (since it was recharging) i got hit by 2 traps.

I am getting the hang of it at least, better than nothing ^^ and at least I always have tombs which doesn't get me as many ectos but it still works
