Positive. Some ppl have strange rumors on that part though. but it is the last group of rangers and abysall you kill that triggers him to go if you dont talk to him.

Yeah, but you must ATTACK spiders with melee weapons so they stop casting healing trap.

Not attack, just be in melee range to keep them from casting Healing Spring. They stop doing it as soon as you're in melee range. So if you can, aggro the entire cave and circle around them a bit so they're all bunched up. No more Healing, and Sliver will kill everything.

It DOES take a while, yeah. One cast of Sliver will kill one spider, maybe two when you're in a big mob. Afterwards, you might need 2 or more casts to kill one. Which is annoying.

So what does everyone suggest? W/Rt in Nm or A/E (I assume fire is good for NM but Sliver is better for HM?).
I could farm ecto but the mindblade run is so wrist slashingly boring that I really can't be bothered, I will probably switch between them.

*Edit* How effective/easy is the W/Rt build at killing the scales? If it can kill them that would be good as I am notorious for aggroing stuff when I don't want to ^^.

*2nd edit* Can A/E kill ancient skale?
