Hope this helps in some way
just wondering if you are talking about hard mode for both of those?

what area do you do luxon sins? If its boreas seabed do you just run to them with the same build?

Yeh, both in HM.

The Luxon Sins are from a quest much like this

Just run straight there, alternativly, if you have more kurzick faction than luxon you can just run out, get killed by the outcast and you'll rez right where you start.

Zting you need to be more specific, do you want to know places where you can farm something really rare or just a place where you can farm a lot of gold items

raptor cave is not a bad place but it has only a few types of gold items <boring skins and elemental swords are worthless now>

but from my experience raptor cave is one of the most boring and dull places to farm if you are doing it over and over

I suggest farming vaettirs, I know it takes longer per run, but there are many more types of gold items there, and they drop very often (4 gold per run is not uncommon at all) and its very consistent over time

and its not as boring as the raptor cave (maybe thats just me, maybe I like the snow scenery more)

Air of Superiority should solve that, then runs should consistently clock in at 1:05 secs.
Or how about NO!

Assuming zero zone load time and an average of 10-15 seconds runing from your spawn in Rata Sum to the portal, it then takes 20 seconds to even reach the cave. It takes you 20-30 seconds to round all the raptors up and then you have to activate your skills and kill all the raptors and pick up drops. So what kind of a mega-build are you using that can do that last part in 7-15 seconds? I'm assuming Sliver (prior to the SF nerf) that just can't kill 34 in that time.

And my timings are based on a 33% speed buff and no zone load time.

One of my cycles (exit->run->kill->resign->exit) takes 57 seconds. Including picking up drops.
He's wrong, and so are you. Why do people lie about farming times? Is it to make them look good?

All of this was written before the -50% dmg SF update. With sliver its an average 1.30.
/sigh
I have done more then 2000 raptor runs (probably closer to 3000), I know how long each run took.

Sigh all you want, < 1 min is BS. I run ranger with 33% speed buff and no SF so full effect Sliver. I takes a minute to zone and run round the cave, let alone to start killing them.

I ran a SF ele with nuking spells, making the <1min easily achivable, you can even bring a EoE ranger with you to make it <55 seconds. You can BS me all you want, but I'm 150% sure I did my runs in LESS then 57 seconds, you ask anyone.

Why is it taking you 10-15 seconds to reach portal from inside Rata Sum?

1.Exit Rata
2.Turn round re-enter Rata
3.Exit Rata go and kill all the nestlings then type /resign
4.Appear right next to exit return to 3.

Yes you are quite correct, I forgot about that, the /resign takes 2 seconds to kick in and it puts you 2 seconds inside the door. That saving might buy you the time to pick up your drops

I have done both the E/Me and R/E, and would like to try the Rt/Me could someone shoot me a link to that build or just list the skills for it.

Thanks a bunch,

Krat

The raptors are the best way to farm quick golds and every once in a while u'll get an ele sword that'll sell for, what? 20-40K with perfect mods? Duno what the current price is on them .

On the speed of the farm: When people first were farming raptors, teh average run for a SF ele with the old nuking build was 30-60 secs. I was their and you could watch the rezoners pop in and out in about that much time. I my self did it for a long time (till the nerf to flame dijins haste >_<). Currently I'm using the sliver builds with stone flesh aura and such and that takes me about 1-2mins to do when all goes well.

I've never had a problem selling an ele sword. I price them (with crap mods or salvaging off anything decent):

q9 - 18k
q10 - 9k
q11 - 6k
q12/13 -5k

I've probably farmed about 30 or so.

People don't necessarily lie, if you make a run and do /age at exactly 1 min 59 secs then it will tell you "You have been in this map for 1 min.". So yeah, I make a lot of raptor runs in 1 GW minute (which means I fall between 1 and 2 minutes).
