Default How to make money as a ritualist with factions

Hey guys I would like to know how to make a decent profit with my Ritualist and factions. I have factions beaten already in normal mode. My ritualist is 20. So I just want to know a decent way to make a decent buck. It does not have to be "omg moneyz!" style of money making... I just wanna make...lets say.. 2,500 gold an hour? Don't think thats to much to ask...but im not sure...so far the only way iv made my money is by making characters getting them to 15 in factions taking their money and deleting them..and re doing it...so I could use a new method because the way I do it i get 6k every 6 hours or so...its not bad..but its not that great ether and its getting a bit old ><

Farming Nahpui Quarter with a 330 HP VwK build is worth while, particularly if you bring keys/lockpicks and open the chests. UW or FoW beach, though they might seem daunting if you're new to farming, are quite susceptible to a number of decent farming builds out there.

Alternately, you could 600 Cathedral of Flames runs for guaranteed money and your choice of attempts at rare drops.

P.S. I read through your post a bit more carefully and I just thought I'd let you know that playing ordinary PvE through the campaigns without buying things like fancy armor and rare skins can make you a lot of cash. Take some old or forgotten or new and underdeveloped characters through all of the campaigns buying (at first of course) only the necessities. Shakes up your gameplay and makes it exciting again while getting to make money without a whole lot of "grind" per se.

Well by reading this, I'm guessing that you don't have any other campaign, which kind of puts you on a tight leash. Lots of build that farm monsters and bosses require multiple campaigns for maximum efficiency.

I suggest [skill]Vengeful Was Khanhei[/skill],[skill]Protective Spirit[/skill], and [skill]Spirit Bond[/skill] as a basic start up. Make sure you use 2 sup runes, one in resto, so you have about 330hp(taken from Rezzdoggs 330hp vengeful farming build, I give credit where its due.). Spirit Bond is used during the down time of vengeful,so you always gain more health than you lose. I also suggest [skill]Vengeful Weapon[/skill] as an easy life steal/finishing move. as for hex and condition removal, bring [skill]Reverse Hex[/skill] and [skill]Mend Ailment[/skill],but watch your energy and dont spam, thats how you end up dying.

You could farm the jade brotherhood outside of the marketplace or creatures on shing jea island in HM. Hope this helped.

Heres the only slight problem with those builds mate...I require the skills for them, Which require elite skills...which require tomes...or I go out and capture them. Which requires quite a bit of cash for some of those builds to work..if you include the runes and perks... lol. Any other ideas? It don't have to be tons of cash just better than my 6 hours for 6 plat method. It can be with heros or henchmen Idc I just wanna get out of the rut and not spend much cash. I guess i can always do the create get lvl 15 take cash and buy some of that stuff with that to make the build.. And I do have all the games..however getting and bothering to beat all of them would just for one distract me from my main goal which is to pimp out my ritualist... and 2 Take a load of time to get to the areas/points to where I can actually do some of that farming not to mention i would have to get some of the skills from those games as well.. in the time i do all of that..i could probably make more money in factoins.

Default Well,

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Vengeful_Was_Khanhei
If you beat Factions, you should have no problem getting to either of those locations. I capped vengeful with Henchmen and it costs 1k to get a sig of cap, Im sure you can afford that.

Here is where the build I was talking about originated. You should be able to get all those skills except reversal of damage, balth, and essence bond. I suggest replacing them with the skills I posted. It doesn't cost much to get equipment, and you can get a good weapon for the build later, as half the time you're carrying a dead guy. Its an easy build to get used to, and in the end should prove to be profitable.

I am going to try it although I can get every skill on the build except the Essence bond. I just am not that far into prophecies to get it... And I was looking around for a regular tome for monk, Because I did buy the skill packs, Regular monk tomes should not cost 1000 gold right? I only have 1400 gold left after I got a new staff, and the other skills on that build.. so I hope I can find a monk tome for cheep. And The elite, Yes I did beat the game, However I beat it on the luxon side, without touching the kruzicks..so ill have to unlock those areas first...not a problem though.

there was two locations on the link, you can get it on the luxon side as well. As for the monk tome, I can supply you one, just pm me in game. As for essence bond, just do some PVP and get 1000 balth faction and unlock it, and go to a skill trainer in proph or a monk tome to acquire it.

Yeah but as he ment with factions he might only have factions campaing so not skills from other campaings, good ways earn cash is vanquish, you can leech hfff and that way you would earn ~6kish/hour

You can always farm the Halycon Job quest using the typical 330 rt/mo build. You should be able to find it by a search in either Guru or PvX. The farm itself is fairly easy, ad generally nets about 1-2k per run. Plus there is usually at least 1 chest along the run. You get quite a few sin tomes and have a chance to get an elite sin tome if you kill the boss. Runes tend to drop quite a lot here, which helps out with equiping your heros and such as well. Some of the more rare Canthan skins drop here too so every now and then you might get something good. I myself have gotten a req 9 Emblazed defender with a -5/20 on it, and perfect pair of chromium shards, and plenty of other goodies.

Also, you can farm the jade brotherhood outside the marketplace as well. The drops tend to be similar to the above... lots of runes. Check the 330 rit page for more farming locations... several in factions are decent. Hope that helps.

I'd like to answer this as for a long time, I only had factions and made cash by farming the vermin outside of Senji's Corner for lockec chest runs and potential Celestial Items.

I used to run this build for a long time using only factions based skills. It's a variant of the Vengeful Farming build that a Ritualist can do.

[Arcane Echo][Vengeful Was Khanhei][Vengeful Weapon][Soothing Memories][Mend Body and Soul][Ancestor's Visage][Resilient Weapon]

...with an optional slot. I could farm them in hardmode with only 5 skills usually.

[Sympathetic Visage] should be included in the build to be cast right after [Ancestors Visage] but it's from Prophecies, hence why i never used it early on in my playing days as I never had prophecies, but the build still worked well.

You obviously echo VwK for extended duration, whilst constantly activating Vengeful Weapon on recharge for spike like steals. The heals can be used to top up health for scary moments, whilst Resilient Weapon is used at the very end to stop the flow of poison and bleeding that will be inflicted on you by the pesky Vermin.

As for making builds using Prophecies, you said:

I'm not sure if you know this, but you don't have to play through the game to buy the skills from certain towns around the massive map. Get some Balthazar faction from either RA or AB PvP battles, then unlock a certain skill by speaking to a Priest of Balthazar. Next, map travel to Lions Arch (if you travel straight from Factions) then speak to the skill trainer to learn the selected skill straight away. You can do this for any skill to always learn it at Lions Arch.

The best build is definitely the 330 Rit build, which is the only farming build I use these days. At events where sweets drop etc, you can be sure of getting an easy 100k+...as well as getting locked chests and good drops in good places through out the year.

Essence bond is available in Beetletun, Take your ritualist to Lions arch. Beetleton will only take you 30 mins or so to reach from Lions Arch.

Really? Are ritualist runes that expensive?

If you're that strapped for cash, roll up a new character and run them through the starter island in Factions, doing every quest you come across. I seem to remember that making me about 3k when I first played Factions, and it didn't take all that long.

Also, if you're running the 330hp VwK build, make sure you have a low-level armor set, the build won't work with max armor. It's worth the investment to have a whole second armor set customized for the 330 rit.

Sometimes farming does require some work to get through campaigns in order to get to farming areas, skill traders, and bosses with elite skills. So, take your time on beating the campaigns before you worry bout trying to make money. It would be pretty hard to make money with only a few skills, and without an elite skill like VwK. Beat factions, get your skills, and get Hard Mode unlocked, then start farming... Getting Hard Mode also gives you way more areas to farm, such as farming on the newb island.

Once you got everything you need, if you need any help with the build, just pm me in game. My IGN is Rez Dogg. If your lucky, i might even hook you up with a farming staff, and might even buy runes for you to get started I've spent quite of bit of money helping people get set up for farming, so I don't mind. Just don't bother contacting me until you got Hard Mode unlocked for Factions The build requires Hard Mode in order to be most effective, Normal Mode just don't cut it....
