Default Yet another money making question

After much debate on what to buy next, i decided i'd go all out and get some FoW armor.. (should keep me entertained for quite awhile i figure)
Now, i'm wondering what's the best option to make the money or find the materials to do so(or both at the same time is a bonus ^-^).

I currently use a ritualist as my "farming" character i have no trouble doing Underworld and CoF runs, but thats basically all i've done. I prefer to NOT run people because i feel to much responsibilty, and i'm one of those people who do a million things whilst playing the game and im prone to making mistakes because of it.

Basically what im asking is if there is an ideal method or spot in which i should be concentrating on so i can get it as quickly as humanly possible.

I use your standard 600hp build just incase you wondered.

Any advice is appreciated

Thanks:]

Best was I've found to make money, is to save for what you want, and stop spending it in the process...

Farm ecto in UW; that's your best bet. Check the farming forum(use search and look in the stickied solo builds thread) or pvxwiki for builds. You should make enough to buy the shards you need.

Sounds like a combination of all of the above would be ideal. I have no trouble farming Underworld as is.. however i seldom come across decent drops, perhaps thats just my luck.

I figured i'd end up trading once i had more money, seems like the way to go

Thanks for the help so far

Yes i do stay away from CoF only nabs run it now. 2k for that amount of time..... Kathandrax takes just longer than CoF and ya can make 15k per person its the best way to earn fast cash not materials and items & sizzle fast cash

^agree, I suprise myself how fast I burn through 250k lol. But imo the fastest way I've made easy money is UW speedway and running Shards or Rragar HM

Oooo if we are talking about spending i bought a Zodiac Q9 sword for.... no reason o.O i knew it was well overpriced aswell a example of powertrading The only times i have powertraded and i suggest you try this is go on the WTB fourm and look for peeps wanting a certain item find a seller of this item ingame message the guru contact to see if he/she still needs it buy it cheaper than the contact wants and sell for however much the contact wanted ..... ive made a bit that way i dnt often do it now but have done before anyway advertising on guru to buy are often desperate for a seller to come along just take advantage of them :E

If you realy want to make money as fast as possible, there is nothing thats beat running people threw hm dungeons. Expect power trading perhaps, but i have no experience with that.

But I'm like you, I don't like to run people. So, I'm doing the CoF runs alone with my hero-smiter. This brings me ca. 5k safe, just threw the quest-reward and selling my inventory. Usually I get 6 "special" drops, which are golds, lockppicks, rin relicts or diamonds, what are another 5 to 6k. So, a CoF run brings you safe 10k, even without running people.

After the nerf the chaosplane runs still working, but need more time (nearly the same time as an CoF run) and you have 57 fews less to farm. You have to pay 1k for the entrance and every few runs, the damn behemots spans, that you can't get to the planes. Usually I get 1 ecto per run. Sure there are runs, where I get up to three ectos, but there are runs without a single ecto, too.

My conclusion is, since you can't sell ectos for at least 5k each, or you are big lucker and gets 3 or more ectos every run, the CoF runs are more profitable.

But this is only my poor opinion, just collect your own experience and please excuse my bad english

Heres an example of powertrading

Say the current armbrace price is +10-15e

you sit in kamadan and look for people selling armbraces...say you see someone selling for +10, pm him and try to talk him down to +5-7 the "hey man, its a 3 ecto difference" or "all i have on me is +5"

then you sell that for +15 drop down to +13 or even +10 depending on what you bought it for and how fast you want to get rid of it...but with tormented weps displayable in HoM armbraces are pretty hot right now so +13-+15 shouldnt be too much of a cocern

if you dont have enough to start powertrading with an armbrace, hell even if you have less than 10k start small, mods like +30 shield(buy for 3-5k, sell for 7-10k) elite tomes are decent power trading material as well as people that need one fast will pay 3-5k more for it(ive sold elite wars for as much as 13k, and monks for 20k) ectos and z keys are also a good medium(z keys sell easy for 5k, try to get for 4.8k or if you're feeling balsy 4.5(tough to get em this low)

Also, as someone above me mentioned, look for people with the WTS Storage Cleanouts and WTS gold items...sometimes you can find some nice skins and pick em up for 5-10k, sell em in kamadan or here on the auction house
