Just wondering what the best way to get feathers is. Hopefully someone can tell me what to farm feathers with while using a 55. I've tried Blessed Griffons but the mesmers that are with them kill me. I've also tried Tengu during Nahpui Quarter Mission. But the Rit Tengus have Nightmare Weapon which kills me quickly as well.

Just wondering how/where to farm feathers! Thanks.

A few guildies mentioned farming the tengu in North Kryta Province. I didn't hear anything about the builds they were using though.

im not sure what build your using but, if you go north out of seitung harbor(sp) you can clear that entire area solo and get around 75 feathers per run. each run takes around 15 minutes maybe. i run a ele/mo run

mending
healing breeze
glyph lesser
cure hex
liquid flame
savannahs heat
lava font
kinetic armor

Cronk.

just fire up mending, HB, glyph, K armor, run in and spam fire!!! use cure hex as needed to remove the usual spammable hexes ya get hit by.

yes i also tried farming teh tengus at nebo, but they have ench removal and they pwn me =/

Nahpui is a good place for me, I use 2 builds to do it.

First:

A/D [Golden Phoenix Strike][Critical Strike][Moebius Strike][Death Blossom][Critical Defenses][Critical Agility][Mystic Regen][Way of Perfection]

Ive considered dropping way of perfection and swapping the chain to [Golden Fox Strike][Wild Strike] to deal with the sentinals, but they are easy enough by using Golden, Critical, then swapping to another and autoattacking till they use Lightning Reflexes then back to the original, kill through DB chain, then back to 2nd etc.

The other is as a 600/smite which works in HM

[Prot Spirit][Spirit Bond][Shield of Absorption][Scourge Healing][Pain Inverter][Balthazars Spirit][Essence Bond][Blessed Aura]

And the smiter, general Mo/N BiP smiter: [BiP][Blessed Signet][Signet of Devotion][Vital Blessing][Life Attunement][Retribution][Holy Wrath][Rebirth]

Atts are just general, bout 10 prot, 10 smiting, 10 df on 600, max prot & smiting on smiter (usually hero)

Nebo Terraces (start in Bergen). You take 600 with spell breaker and hero smiter. You kill undead, then move north killing all tengu. When at passage to North Kryta Province, rezone and go south, towards Bergen, killing all tengu and undead.

Farming the tengu in hardmode is my favorite for feathers with a duo 600 smite build. On average both of us will collect anywhere from 180-230 feathers each per run.

I farmed the tengu in hm with a sf sin....the old version so I don't know if the new version will work but worth a shot I suppose.

I always liked Naphui the best, but go 105hp instead of 55. That way the rits can't spike you

In HM I simply 600rit/smite nahpui with a hero smiter. GWEN w/Signet of Illusions works great. With VwK and Holy Wrath/Retribution, you slice thru pretty quickly and easily. You can do it with just those damage dealing skills, but I'd advise a little extra damage dealing (pain inverter for instance) to deal with the Star Lights. One is simple enough to kill, but when you get 2 or more it becomes more complicated unless you have that 3rd damage dealing skill.

Farming Tengu in HM near LA and some groups at entrance of Nebo with smite-600 dual. 150-250 feathers , many golds ,lockpicks, elite and normal tome, another materials from crafting ( like 50-100 iron ingots, tanned , woods , cloth and bones ). Recomanded 600 with mystic regeration `cause of fire imps.

Tengu outside north kryta and if you take exit to nebo terrace some there as well.
I farm both in nm an hm but with perma sf sin and sliver/poison setup and yes i know its slow but you can also use in nm the old perma sf build with mor and anything to set off burning - i prefer farming here as ive had lots of rune garbs in both nm and hm.
Also as mentioned by others cantha has a few places and one place ive not yet seen mentioned - vabbi and go for skree harpies ( not hatchlings in istan tho you can) as skree wings gives about 5 feathers per salvage and fledgeling skree wings from istan gives 3 per salvage.

On a side note - anyone else noticed that caromi tengu and ones outside seitung harbor never have monks ... im so used to see mixed groups of casters and warriors/rangers with monks in all over gw it only occured to me earlier - thank god they not got monks ( monk foes + hm are nasty at times lol )
