Default Help - UW Help Required.

So I can't get into a UW HM SC group w/o having experience, but no one is letting me join their group because they only want experienced players. I am a E/A terra, just starting. I don't have many skills and I don't have much money for a conset. I have the set skills to run pools and i think icy wastes(or was it slayer?), but yea... i really need help and if anyone can lend a helping hand I would be eternally grateful. I would really appreciate it even more if someone could help me today . I think i just really need directions and what not... It would be even better if someone could let me into their vet group and help me out that way...

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

EDIT: if this doesn't belong here... you can move it mods, but please put it in a place where i can get responses...

Ty celestial

well , at first, if you aren't sure what you can run you might screw the whole run up.
I suggest you to go 3-4 runs to UW, and practice your run

Dante, if you can provide us with the skillbar you are using or the list of skills you have for the E/A, it will enable us to help you better. Sure you are new to it, but just stating you are new isn't really going to make it easier to help if we don't know what skills you have or don't have etc.

That is my skills Template, I hope it gets through. I used the guide for UW farming. I don't have radiation field, but i don't really want to spend all that time getting it and im only r2 on ebon vangaurd =/ a little bit to r3. Its not my main obviously. I got EBSoH yesterday, after 3 hours XD...

Oh i will run pools, im not sure if thats harder, but it seems I only have enough skills. I think I really need directions, because the build is self explanatory, cast glyph, the deadly paradox, shodow force, and ward of stability for anti KO in pools.

If you manage to come across some cash, I'd say buy/craft a conset and do a solo run. Clear the chamber, then run to the pools and try to clear it as practice. That's what I plan to do at first when I finish my SC ele, although *disclaimer* I'm not 100% sure that it works solo. It may seem like a waste, but if you can clear it once, you can probably say you're experienced.

Has anyone else done anything like this?

If you know the whole run and you're supremely confident in your skills... you could always lie and say you're experienced Although if you die you'll get yelled at lulz.

cookie?

practice makes perfect...if needs be do it in NM first - then you can get a feel for the run and then try again in HM once you feel you have mastered it in NM - also if you are rubberbanding alot try sorting out your internet connection first - as it can save you alot of grief

practice = perfect (or close to ^^)

Well, do you honestly think people should let you in their group as a PUG? You've clearly made it obvious that you haven't played this game that long. With that being said, no random person is going to let you join their group, die, and leech the end chest and/or any Ecto drops.

You need to actually play this game and get good at it. Don't get me wrong, everyone is a noob at one point or another. But you can't expect to go straight into Terra Tanking the UW when you have virtually no experience playing any other areas. That's like skipping med school and going straight into brain surgery. Doesn't work like that. You need experience.

And yes, it's some-what of a dilemma not having experience but needing it to get into a group. Well, that's simple... PLAY THE GAME! When you've played this game for countless hours, you start mingling and making friends. You can then prove your skills and then people don't mind taking you into their group and teaching you how to do something.

Excuse my long rant. I'm just sick of people creating a toon, power leveling to 20, PvXing a farming build, and then expecting the people who are good at UW to show them how it's done. Just play the game, man. Earn your right to clear The Underworld.

If you are wanting to do a UWSC as a Mesmer, I would suggest going Me/A, Shadow's Form, and just do the Chamber & Unwanted. It's the same build the A/Me uses so you shouldn't have any problems getting into groups.

If you're interested in clearing UW oldschool, hit me up in game and we'll get a group together. I prefer doing Elite areas old school.
