Hi everyone i quit playin awhile go got bored after making my 11th lvl 20. I hated that farming was nerfed and drops sucked for the most part compared to the old times. Was just thinking bout getting back on sometime and trying it out again, anyone know if it is still nerfed a lot?

UW is the only farmable area now. because a build was too effective at farming high end areas, aparantly affecting the "Economy" They decided to nerf it, and drove everybody to farm the one place that was the backbone of economy in the game... kinda messed up.

Theres still raptors outside of Rata Sum.. make like 300g every run on average i think

wow that sucks.. screw that then not coming back... i hate when things get nerfed because people found out how to use skills cunningly in order to do what they want to do.

Yeah but you gotta understand economy, if money would be so easyly obtainable, every prices would go higher so it wouldnt rly have difference, or if items would come more easyly obtainable, you wouldnt make much profit with em anymore because their value would drop.

dont be fooled by this sounding small the run is only like 2 min long

That really depends on the type of farming you are looking to do. There are a lot fo areas farmable by 600/smite. And there are more areas then just UW and the raptors to solo.

Roughly a min actually. That's about 18k an hour, excluding any elite tomes and rare items.

If you want more than that, get a monk and a monk buddy so you can do dungeons together with leechers (who pay). Last time I checked (a few months ago) Catacombs of Kathandrax was 25k per person. Thats 75k + drops per run for you and your buddy.

You quit guild wars because you couldn't make as much virtual gold? There's alot more to the game than being able to buy those Uber leet items / Armor Imo.

Play the game in hardmode. The drops are significantly more interesting.

But yeah farming is still nerfed. I still shed a small tear for the day they added keys to the game and my chest running out of Port Sledge to the three chests a couple of mins away was no more ... :'(

That made me quit the game for like 2 yrs..

That's weird. It sounds like you're implying that ALL farming is nerfed. I guess all the people posting guides on the FARMING section of this forum must just be expressing their dreams of what they could farm if it wasn't nerfed... ._.
"Farming" will never be nerfed. Different runs will be, sure, but there will always be places to farm (just maybe not as efficiently).

Ok when i saw title i was wtf !! and thought id missed something .
If farmings nerfed and dead then i must be somewhere else in another game .

Farming exists and is still as big as it was before minus the huge amount of bots.
If it was nerfed still then how did i have enough funds in 1 month to buy a guildhall - change guildhall and fully outfit it ... And no i didnt do uw/fow as i made my money in non elite areas farming ( mainly prophs ).

Raptor farming tho gives small amount of cash per run ( usually 2 -3 mins depending on profession ) can give a few unid golds per run as well as asuran points and you`ll find farmers allow leechers who sit at start and farmers get extra drops from the larger party size.
Also Raptor farming and event item drops do make cash as well.
You can also run places and dungeons to make cash tho its not exactly farming.

I also agree with dark blade and say gw is now a huge game and has a lot of areas to offer farmers

Obvious what the OP mean is whether WORTHY farming is still nerfed. aka 50k+ / hr farming. Yes, its still nerfed if its by that definition, unfortunately. If you are the type of person that keeps lowering the standard every time a nerf comes along then its not nerfed.

Did you EVEN READ the part where he said he had 11 lvl 20 characters? I think he has probably done plenty of things in the game.

getting to level 20 takes, what, like 5 hours? that actually means almost nothing. granted, with 11 of them means he probably beat the games, but he doesn't mention that or say anything about hard mode so how do we know?
