I hope I don't get beat up here. I'm not a gamer geek professional and I do not claim to know anywhere near as much about this game as most people who play it do.
I've been playing off and on for a little over 2 years now.
I have all professions but as for level 20's I have a Monk/Ranger (not ascended), and a Dervish/Ranger and a Ranger/Monk who are ascended and have finished EotN.
Now, for fun, I'd like to do a little farming and see what I can do solo.
Who should I use? What skills should I use? Set up yadda yadda. I don't mean to imply that there aren't some really rocking women playing on here but it's safe to say I am a redhead with a little blonde underneath HAHA meaning I cannot wrap my head around all of the skills,stats etc etc.
What do I want to farm? Gold and Greens of course LOL and the stuff I need to get UW armor but I am willing to start out small! Sorry for the thesis!

M/ranger can solo or duo rotscale i think..

ranger/dervish can farm meelee mobs.."ebon dust aura"

As dercihs you can farm lot of things such as undeads, Smite Crawlers in UW, even Chaos Plains in HM with the right build...FoW beach, Raptors (nestlings) outside Ratasum, FoW beach and Forest, and many other places.

Monks can 600/smite almost everything, you can farm undead as well with smiting prayers, 55hp etc etc etc.....

PS: UW armor does not exist

Yes I am soooo sorry I did mean FoW, gawd there is just soooo much stuff to remember, where bosses are, elites are, greens are, collectors are, thank GAWD for these forums and nice people that read them eh?
Dang I hope I did not throw my Cesta away lmao when I got that thing that early in the game I was like "who the heck would want THAT!" hahaha
Heck I've never even been IN the UW or FoW can you believe that??

But seeing as you have a Dervish, Its obvious you have nightfall, so, if you can complete nightfall with your ranger here is a nice little build:

Just a consideration: i don't personally agree totally with some builds, cos i prefer to use builds i'm used to, so if you need any REAL help you'd better ask me in game.
Never been in UW/FOW?...what's the matter?....many ppl never did....as UW pioneer i can tell you that's one of the best places ever for farming (not only ectos) but also materials, rares, gold weapons, gold coins and rare materials.
If you wanna begin farming in UW i can show you some builds i use.
FoW it's a little harder imo for a dervish.....too much different types of mobs you cannot simply handle like in the UW, but it's not impossible.

B) Yes ALL of of my characters are Ranger second except for my Ranger which is Monk second.
C) I have ALL of the campaigns (do not care much for Factions)

like someone said before the 600\smite team works wonders in many places, by far the easiest farming build to run depending where you go and would probably be a good place to start at until you got the hang of farming, there are a few solo builds for ranger UW and FoW a few friends and i are actually working on changing a few ranger builds i happened to find one day on here to see what else can be done with it teamwise. Your best bet i think would be to begin with CoF if you run people you can make a decent amount and once you get the hang of it you can move onto more expensive dungeons such as SoO or kathandrax.

You should "ascend" your monk in Nightfall, since monk probably has the greatest versatility in farming. Having access to all secondaries on your monk will be beneficial. Also, make sure you have Shield of Judgment and Spell Breaker capped, those will also help you farm a lot.

The best place to start, IMO, is the undead outside of hot springs in Tyria (edit: in hard mode). If you haven't done any 55ing before, I suggest you read http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:Mo/any_55hp_Solo_Monk.
