Default Best way to get obsidian shards?

I am currently trying to stock up on obsidian shards so that i can get my paragon fow armor when I finally get it to legendary survivor.

However, noone seems to be selling them. Having looked on pvx for fow builds, i tried out the ranger forest farm builds, and found them to have barely and drops, and to be extremely slow.

What builds are out there that work well, and fast in fow for farming shards?

Thanx

I usually farm beach and cave with this when I'm bored:

[A/E;OwZk0pe1nOqEPi0nOTZm/zBTN4bJ]

Cave can only be done in NM though, because of the spiders insane healing ability in HM

hmm.. that didin't work, I'll let the template be there and just write the skills then: Deadly Paradox, Glyph of Swiftness, Shadow Form, Golden Fox Strike, Wild Strike, Death Blossom, Critical agility and Asuran Scan.

I would suggest you bring zealous daggers (ofc), and you should add superior runes to your armor, I usually take all which gives me 180 hp or so.. hp doesn't matter since I use SF.. soo ^^

To OP: FoW speed clears are probably your best way forward. 15-25 minute run to clear whole of FoW, you'll end up with afew shards at the end, along with the chest to open

what? oh man i'll post a SS in HM after all this Grog farming atm..

**Edit**
ya don't call HM spider clearing any faster =( but golds sure did drop more. only 3 shards in this run =(

So i'm not sure if this qualifies for faster but stick w/ NM or dual/triple runs w/ another sin. the few runs i did we got about 5 total. and 25-30 min run.

Beach Cleared.. time for the spiders.

geez..

Killing the spiders 1on1 isn't a problem, but it's the fact that they bunch up so easily and heal eachother. That's what makes em really hard to kill in HM..

So I usually just find it easier to do in NM since the only thing that changes is the fact that you might get more goldies.

Did you even read the whole thread? Read the whole thread before making statements like that...

And as you quoted.. I myself do it in nm.. so I'm not sure what you are really after...

How do you manage to get to the Forest in a solo without getting owned by the monsters on the way there?

I did two forest runs last night on ma ranger, and all i got was 1 shard each run, and it took me like 55 minutes to clear. Not very experienced, so i reckon i can cut it down to about 1/2 an hr if i practiced, but still not very efficient.

Also i havent seen any fow speed clears going.

Any chance of people posting their average run time, + drop rate of shards for their farms. Im gonna try that sin one when I can get on l8r today.

@ Torrent, follow the instructions given on the page, and its pretty easy. Storm chaser lets you deaggro most of the mobs pretty easily. The only bit is the entrance to the battlefield, coz sometimes the skeletals are too close to the entrance so you cant sneak past, and have to try and make them fight.

EDIT: Also whats the link for the FoW SC i cant find it on pvx, or through a search here.

The run I mentioned takes maybe around 20-30 mins.. not quite sure tbh.. been a while since I farmed there, but one time I got 6 shards in one run.. thought that was pretty good ^^

You need a running skill in your bar. If you dont go as a sin, you`ll have trouble in hard mode, since one running skill is not enough to run away from monsters and (obviously) you dont have shadow form. I did it in HM before the sf nerf, and was really pain in the **** when those spiders start using healing spring, so i had to separate them into groups of 3-6, or not aggro more than two groups. That way they were not able to outheal damage. I guess it`s still doable after the nerf, but takes a bit longer.

About the FoW speed clear, whats the current build. The one on pvx got written off after UA nerf, and apparently theres faster builds, yet I cant find them anywhere. Any Idea what these faster FoW clear builds are?

The reason you don't see any FOW speed clears because mostly people do UW Sc clears for ectos like myself. Why do fow for 2.1k a shard when you can do UW Sc in 15 min tops and get average 3 ectos a run worth 5.2k each

But I do agree not many FOW Sc teams out there. Good luck and I hope you get your FOW ASP.
