Default Raptor Farming:Am I missing something?

Ok so recently i've been trying out the raptor farming builds for halloween, this includes the E/Me,A/E sliver and A/E burning speed/radiation field, and frankly they just don't seem that fast. With the burning speed/radiation field one they never die quick enough for energy managent, help please .

Perma A/E, air of superiority, glyph of lesser energy, ebon battle standard of honor, sliver armor, finish him. Of course, the higher the vanguard rank, the faster the runs will be.

The fastest one is the E/Me

You aggro every single little raptor, bring them to mama.

Perma Sliver = boom boom boom !

Collect loot.

the average sliver armor run takes less than 2 minutes. but it depends on what skills you bring too.

Running out of energy? There are several assassin builds that I cannot run becuase my Asuran rank is not high enough. If running through the story line does not get you enough Asuran points, kill osme of the little buggers in NM to boost your rank. Are you using a staff, or a wand and offhand?

The current builds don't work as well as the fire builds did, and the fire builds don't work as well after the SF damage nerf (duration buff).

As the E/Me. Cast Resolve, Channeling, and Stoneflesh at the front of the cave, then aggro the first group of raptors. Keep heading straight into the cave until you get the patrol on the right of the pillar-rocky thing. Then go to the left(opposite direction of BroodMother) of the pillar, aggroing the other patrolling group and all of the other raptors while maintaining stoneflesh, channeling, and resolve(I think a 20/20 enchant mod is required.). Head down to broodmother's group and cast magnetic aura, glyph of renewal, and then sliver armor. Keep up your resolve, stoneflesh, and channeling. (Use armor of earth to activate channeling's effect if need-be, otherwise armor of earth doesn't do much else.)

If broodmother runs away, target and attack her. This will force her to come back to you. If Sliver armor does not target her when she is near you, target and attack her. This often causes sliver to redirect its damage from one of the wimpy raptors to broodmother. Always cast glyph of renewal before sliver armor. This allows you to keep sliver armor on you at all times.

I'm not sure if this is the fastest way to raptor farm, but it's fast and easy enough for me.

If you have a decent asura rank (which you should if your raptor farming) try bringing mental block instead of magnetic aura. You only have to cast it once at the opening of the cave and it will stay up the whole time.

^template code

[Stoneflesh Aura][Armor of Earth][Magnetic Aura][Channeling][Ether Feast][Mantra Of Resolve][Glyph of Renewal][Sliver Armor]

9 Inspiration
9 Energy Storage
16 earth

aggro all, once youve aggroed all and get rek's group last then use magnetic aura just keep up enchants, infinite sliver...kills em so fast...when theres 3-4 left they might scatter but not usually. ^_^

Cheers all, tried the ele one again and it was quite fast . I used to do half the cave and then another haf cos was afraid of mantra of resolve sapping my energy, a very stupid fear looking back.

The D/W Build is very fast. Can kill max 24 Nestlings though (All except the boss and her group)

Very fast turn around though, can do a run and be back in town in well under a minute.

yeah i thought this was slow too. and that was once i was r1 in asuran, vanguard and deldrimor. Once i got them to r5, my runs have dropped to 3 min each. the difference is huge when going from
R1
ebon standard of honor+sliver armor+Ural's
to R5
ebon standard of honor+sliver armor+Ural's

(cast ebon standard of honor first since sliver will use it all)

The Elementalist is my favorite HM raptor farm.

[build=OgVEMWyryGFBYCgKsWyOkLyDhDC]

Ele/Me, Superior Runes in both Water and Earth. Earth Staff with 20% Enchanting Mod. Energy or Health runes aren't really an issue.

At cave entrance (before you have aggro'd any raptors). Cast:

1. Mantra of Resolve - Will prevent interrupts at the expense of energy loss
2. Channeling - Will give you extra energy to compensate for the energy lost due to #1
3. Magnetic Aura - Will further reduce interrupts (an hence energy loss, this is a necessary part of the build)
4. Armor of Mist (a running skill to keep you ahead of the raptors who run fast in hard mode). Mindbender is a better substitute if you have maxed Asuran title.

Run through the cave QUICKLY. There are 2 roving groups of raptors that you need to sweep into your aggro bubble. If you get a few of the loners, that's great but don't waste time aggroing every single raptor or your Magnetic Aura or Armor of Mist will run out. Lastly aggro the Broodmother's group.

Now for damage and protection:

5. Mist Form - Elite Skill. Protects you from all damage other than Broodmother's twisting jaws skill. Does not prevent interrupts, so that is why you are depending on Mantra of Resolve for that.
6. Sliver Armor - Your damage skill
7. Ebon Battle Standard of Honor - Boosts damage of sliver armor
8. Intensity - ditto. With those 2, I am doing FORTY SEVEN points of damage PER HIT. That is insane damage. You can work on your title tracks to influence the efficacy of your boosters (I am level 8 I think on Vanguard and Sunspear). "By Ural's Hammer" can be substituted too if needed but I prefer Intensity because the 20% Enchanting mod makes it last longer.

Air of Superiority is NOT necessary. With this kind of damage. The Broodmother will go down almost every time and recharge your skills. Recast your 5-8 skills one time as needed. Collect your loot and leave. Usually your will kill about 29-31 raptors and the Broodmother in about a 90 second round trip.

Failures are the usual: Rubber banding, Angorodons, not killing the broodmother (extremely rare, like one in a hundred for me).

I'm getting ToT bags at a higher rate using the old nuker build taking all raptors than I was using the E/Me Sliver build which only kills two groups, so I have no idea what you're doing wrong.
