Wink Raptor Farming

Well i haven't seen a thread regarding this , and it would make accessing the correct builds to do the farm slightly easier. Now this thread is a reference and if you do not like a build or disagree with a technique please try not to flame it or go into a string of insutls and swearing .

So post your tips , techniques and builds for raptor farming here .

I've done it HM with Assassin. Perma+Sliver Armor. Worked great.
It takes longer now but still is worth some time.

People never will.
as soon as there is a event with special drops, everyone gets to lazy to check more then the first post in the farming section and create their own thread.

And there are tons of raptor farming builds.

The E/Me build works great, but i would recommend exchanging ward against foes for Glyph of Renewal. This way you can have sliver armour up all the time and greatly reduce the time of a run.

I'm interested in how these builds compare to each other.

[build name="HM Raptor Mist-Farmer" prof=R/E Expertise=3+1+1 Water=12 EarthMagic=12][Armor of Mist][Glyph of Sacrifice][Mist Form][Magnetic Aura][Whirling Defense][Air of Superiority][Sliver Armor][Ebon Battle Standard of Honor][/build]

[build name="HM Raptor Escape-Farmer" prof=R/E Expertise=12+1+1 EarthMagic=12][Stone Striker][Dwarven Stability][Escape][Magnetic Aura][Throw Dirt][Air of Superiority][Sliver Armor][Ebon Battle Standard of Honor][/build]

The damage source is the same for both builds is Sliver + Ebon, the only damage source difference is Whirling Defense. I'd day that if both have the same survivability then the one that has a little edge on killing faster is the mist farmer.

Mist Farmer is WAY better (that's my baby). If you've captured the Asuran Skill Mindbender (and have a decent Asuran rank), you can replace the first two skills entirely, opening up an optional slot (I added throw dirt for the heck of it to reduce interrupts even further). Mindbender is nice because it reduces casting times (and therefore interruptions!). BTW, the Whirling Defense is there purely for interrupt prevention. It does not damage since you are not getting hit by projectiles. This build is superior because it is more predictable, you very rarely get interrupted compared to the older build (about 1 in 10).

[build=OgYTk4FfHatU4gdAVA1AukHKXEA]

Unfortunately my beloved ranger farmer has been surpassed by my Ele/Me farmer who I just brought up to Rata Sum.

[build=OgVEMWyryGZC4OgKEBwOwDhDuEA]

1-2-3 at entrance (will last long enough to aggro and get to broodmother), 4-5-6-7 at broodmother (in quick succession), cast echo before you recast sliver. That will give you 3 casts of sliver before zoning away. Enchanting staff, superior water and earth runes, and everything else survivor and vigor. Sweet build is as fast as the ranger but impossible to interrupt (although you could get your energy drained if you are too slow getting your spells up).

or for NM event item farming, you can REALLY knock em dead with this build:

[build=OgVEMWyryG4uJoGB7KrqrA]

1 at entrance, 2-3-4-5-6-7-8 at broodmother's group (should knock all nestlings dead instantly).

My character is only a couple days old, so if I ever get around to it, Ebon Battle Standard of Honor would be superior to Intensity and Mindbender would probably work well too.

I prefer the Escape version by far.

But in reality, both work.

Second and third build (hm and nm) are the same, did you mean that or was it a wrong code?

I don't think HM with necro is possible, but I use this for NM whit the bossgroup( the boss wont die xD)

[build=OAdTcY/8ZiHRnZtEphNgU0FCOAA]

Use a high energy set to manage energy and use mindbender in the start for a speedboost.

Archane Echo
Shadow Form
Ether Nightmare

When I farm with my ele, I use this (hm):

[build=OgVEMJOJz5gC+qlilBPEVYCiAA]

When I farm them with my Paragon (NM, without the boss) I use this:

[build=OQGjUxmJaSmY3l0k0F5F0bkiBAA]

Hell if were talking NM Here, before the SF nerf i used to just take: [Deadly Paradox] [Shadow Form] [Phoenix]

12 fire
12 shadow
just run it, aggro everything, then use DP then SF, then when they're all grouped Phoenix

I Guess you could use
[Mantra of Resolve] [Mist Form] [Phoenix]
12 Fire Magic or higher
12 Water Magic
Rest in Inspiration
Enchanting mod of sorts, or just take [Glyph of swiftness] or [Arcane Echo]

i found an interesting HM raptor killing combo.

1. Radiation Field
2. Black Powder Mine
3. Viper's Defense

With Level 7 PVE ranks, and High Shadow Arts, you can cast them back to back, in that order, and kill all the raptors with only these 3 skills.
