Whokey, about skills, make a build that relies only on your first profession, and that does decent single target damage. In case you are an ele, i used this:

The empty slot is for the cap sig. You can replace blind with the 2nd cap incase you need it. In case you need a staff, use kunvie's air staff, sell at 1k i saw on guru, good staff. Runes at air 16, build works against anything.

About team build, i never tried discord way, dont really care about it either, for heroes i take 1 prot heal, 1 mm, 1 warrior/dmg dealer. Then add another heal hench, and 3 other henches of choice. I capped all my skills with this setup, never ran into any problems. You can use the blind for condition, easily spammable at 4 sec rech, and cancels any melee treaths.

For the build, you can see it only uses primary skills, so in case you need to cap another 2ndary skill, just switch the proffesion, no need to change build. Have fun. Guide coming up soon, still waiting for approval.

Regarding Elite tomes: they are only useful if that skill has been unlocked by another toon on your account. If Feast of Corruption, for instance, has not been capped by another char on your account or by one of your PvP'er toons, then you're going to be hunting for the big wurm Mr. Maw.

Regarding general skill-capping: if you are early on in your skill cap title hunt, I suggest buying cap sigs whenever you come across some cash - that way you won't be bothered with purchasing more as you run down the skill cap list. I've got 44 waiting for me to finish my proph skills. One bit of advice I might offer and something I wish I would have done is, while vanquishing - check out which boss is in your area before hand and go with that secondary and a skill cap (in place of where you might put res for instance). You are sure to run across the boss during a vanq because you have to in order to finish (assuming the boss spawns). This would have been easy for me as a primary Ranger because I did not use secondary profession (except for Rit for FoMF res - which I rarely used)..but oh well. Up to now, for elite skill capping, I kept a wiki map of the boss spawn location and route there on a separate window to the side of GW, and just having to go two wiki pages back (in the same window) to get back to the elite skill list by prof/campaign. It has gone fairly quickly till I started concentrating on vanq'ing and mapping. GL and HTH

i might just use sabway so my heroes arent that dependent on me to call targets. i always put 3 [signet of capture] on my bar simply because im not allowed to put 4.
I have all skills unlocked for all the campaigns and im already legendary vanquisher.

Or i was thinking that it might be best for me to just dual account the whole thing. That way i can use 6 heroes and then just lead with my second account and follow with my first capping when necessary.

Not only for finding elites, this is also fantastic for keeping track of them. It's so easy to forget that you did one, so you'll think you have more than you do, and you'll be confusing the hell out of yourself. With this, checking an elite off is just as easy as two clicks.

Just make sure to use the .zip, because that's version 4 (with non-dungeon EotN skills included). The .exe is the previous version, which doesn't have them.

Edit: Oh, and for heros, I just ran two fire eles with tons of AoE, and a WoH monk. Near the end, I ran 3 RoJ monks, and that was good too ... It's NM, so all you need is lots of damage and you're fine.

Ok ill give it a try on my other PC first, and i ignore the quotes you put around the word "clean" and just assume that you arent aware how to properly use them.

But just for the record, when you put quotes around a word it means you are implying that it is something other than the word in quotes.

you can't say a software is clean, your sweater or your socks (I suppose) are clean. Thus I made quotes around the word clean.
Now if I would say - your socks are "clean", that would actually mean that they are not.

I just went down the list for each profession. Not all but some skills are infinitely faster to cap in some locations than in others so something that might take 15 times of rezoning to cap a randomly spawning Tyrian boss might take 5 min in EoTN or NF. Started with my primary skills first and checked wiki for each area I went so I could cap some secondaries along the way.

Also check for quests that make bosses spawn or not spawn in certain places. Ex: Krak's Calvary will spawn a boss with [Dwarven Battle Stance] about 2 min away from silfhala. Alternatives: run around Grenth's Footprint looking for a random spawn, do Iron Mines looking for a random spawn, do half of Vloxen Excavations dungeon, or do the whole Attack on Jalis' Camp quest (which is still pretty easy but time consuming)

First i did perdition rock until my eyes started bleeding.. I started as E/N then went out with 3 signets and a discord team capped the necro skills, then moved on to E/Me then E/R then you get the picture. I must have rezoned over a dozen times because it seems that the Boss who holds [echo] is a random spawner.
Then i moved to ring of fire made it through once to get the [oath shot][spike trap][ether prodigy]. Then on my next run i spent 20 damn minutes trying to kill one Mursat monk. I got frustrated and just turned the game off after getting wiped in lava by 6 fire imps.

I would suggest [Fevered Dreams] and [Feast of Corruption]. The first one was the only skill I ended up getting on my Mesmer via Elite Tome, just because the boss never, ever spawned the 6 or so times I went through Abbadon's Mouth.

The second is just notoriously a pain to cap :-)

I went by each chapter and profession. I got all the Warrior skills in Tyria, then moved onto the Ranger, and etc. Then the Canthan Warrior elites, Ranger, etc.

When I decided to go for Legendary Skill Hunter I simply knew the areas well enough to know what elite skills were available, and so I would just cap Elite Skills on a zone-by-zone basis.

I pretty much ran the same build every time I went out and just changed the secondary. You never need to use secondary skills, which is why I find the following rather amusing:

Why not just play 100% water, if that's the element you chose. I see no valid reason for using a random bow attack over another Elementalist spell, but it's not like PvE Normal Mode is terribly difficult anyway, so whatever floats your boat.

The Ring of Fire Islands are the only potentially annoying area to cap from purely because of the fact that the bosses may not be there. That brings a "fun" element into gaining that title track though, don't you think?

I ran one of the two builds for my capping (on my para)

For casters: [Spear of Fury][Merciless Spear][Stunning Strike][Go For the Eyes][Anthem of Weariness][PvE skill][Signet of Capture][Aggressive Refrain]
For the PvE skill, I ran [Asuran Scan] [Pain Inverter] or [You Move like a Dwarf]. Drop'd that for a capsig if there were two caps.

For physicals: [Spear of Fury][Wild Throw][Cruel Spear][Go For the Eyes][Anthem of Weariness][Asuran Scan][Signet of Capture][Aggressive Refrain]

A cool little damage spike with this one ... Asuran Scan, Cruel Spear, Spear of Fury, Cruel Spear (recharged by adren from SoF)

lol, im aware of the noobness of that build. The only reason i added the ranger skill is so i could control conditions and hexes for my discord team. but since then i have switched from discordway to nukeway so i dont use secondary anymore. i use this
