dont know if this is the right place to post it, but anyway:
i am thinking, what is the drop rate for lunar tokens?
1 drop er 5 kills, 10 kills or 1 per 100?
i know about loot scaling but as far i know festival stuff does not scale am i right.
so what would be the drop rate?

i found that one already, but i mean how big is the change an mobb wil drop a lunar token?
like, if i kill 30 raptor nestlings, can i expect 1, 3, or more tokens to drop?

I'm going to do what I did for wintersday and toss out the assumption that fireworks, blue drinks and other specific items are going to drop from enemies with lunar tokens rarely in PVE, just like they did for Wintersday.

Once more the dreaded question about drop rates appear (cries ) .
Event drops can depend on many factors
Mass killing within a timeframe - eg 30 raptors in 10 secs ( yea i kno impossible ) would yield mybe 1 or 2 drops total but 30 raptors in 2 mins being slowly killed will on avg yield a lot more.
The whole drop rate thing is a massive gray area as we dont really kno the answer , many can have good runs where others will have bad runs.
Yes ive had runs where ive cleared a zone solo in nm ( technically nm/hm dont affect event drops but general views are split ) and only got maybe 3 event drops where a guildie can do same run and he was lucky and got maybe 10.
Some will say go farm a newb area like plains of jarin as you can get quite a few there - others will say 55 monk farming undead.
Anyone who states they can farm a lot in an hr are usually showing off and claims are unsubstanciated - most are traders who buy them off other players.

i`ll be farming with the hope i get some drop rather than thinking im gonna get loads from a run.

Lunar tokens aren't dropping very much for me. So I dunno. Kegs or Raptors. *shrugs* Maybe its a GW plague, crap drops and crap connection.

I did a few solo timed runs in low level densly populated areas of the island and on average they droped once a minute. Not worth the time if you ask me. Better odds playing Lucky Hochei.

It seems anets done the usual and now lunar drops are even less - i assumed it was bad luck on my behalf after 5 raptor runs gave me 2 tokens.
Anets new strategy - keep the lunar ox chance as it is but lessen token drops which means in a way its gonna be even harder to get one as its harder to get tokens lol.
Btw im not QQ as tokens and the ox dont really matter to me - im just enjoying the game but i do think its sad how its restricted now - u done all quests and then what - dragon arena or normal non event stuff - not much of a choice to keep you playing.

Larcen u hit the nail on the head - gw plague = anet token restiction means more players get bored and afk on rings or dragon arena which then = more lag and then that causes less tokens as ppl dying in quests via lag ......... u get the general idea lol

Anet - you kindly give us weekends where we get double rep for titles - we kno its easy title farming but one day do the same for event drops and make them drop a bit more ( glad they dont restrict the rep on events imagine u can only get x2 rep upto 1k on account lol ) im sure the whole gw community would be glad of the show of kindness ( that or we`ll start calling anet grentchnet )

I did a few dozen runs of raptors, fairly sad. One run I got 3 tokens, then about 8 in a row with none. Seemed I'd get about 1 every 2-3 runs on average - definitely not worth farming. They seem to drop about as frequently as candy canes did, but NOTHING else drops (disappointing - I expected to see fireworks and sweets).

What I did find, though, is that you're better off just leveling a character to 5 in factions, then doing the 5-6 quests. It took me about 45 minutes to get to 5 on my first try, then maybe 1 hour to do 4 quests for 100 tokens. The first 15 minutes is PAINFULLY slow and annoying getting to Shing Jea...

I figure I could get that lvl 5 down to 30 minutes - use assassin, buy sprint skill, and reduce the extra hour down to 45 minutes or so - getting 100 tokens in around 1.5 hours. Much better than my 40 raptor runs/hour getting me about 15-20 tokens...

I have two accounts, so I can park one in the boardwalk gambling lucky/unlucky while leveling the other, then take my lvl 20's and run them teamed with the fresh lvl 5's. I may get to the point where I delete the assn and create a new one to rerun quests - not sure if I'll need to, time permitting I will try tho...

Well, I tried to farm for it with my rit, and got 3 tokens in 30 mins. I then logged on my level 5 hunter, loaded up the pet and went out and killed the mobs 1 by 1. Gained about 20 tokens in 30 mins.

Good old Anet. I've been Keg farming for the past 2 hrs and at first I thought it was just bad luck that my mobs were dropping like one or two blue and white items. Then I changed it up and started killing smaller groups and the smaller groups would drop golds, tokens, and much more loot, to get to the point it seems they have put the hex on large group kills. Small groups are dropping much more loot, slowed the keg farming down to a crawl having to kill 8 groups instead of 2 and not that great for tokens only 15 in 2 hours.

Looks like I'll be running my characters through the missions to get tokens.

Yeah sadly anet uses the formula - big mobs die fast = less drops.
Keg bombing tho great for rep farming is bad for farming unless you want to kill a small mob each time.
You see all the keg posts and how easy its to kill and get say glacial stones but they often omit the fact the 100 glacial stones they farmed probably took about an hr or 2 from the point of reaching the vettiers.
