I tried looking through the threads and doing a searing using the tools and could not find anything there. If there is please direct me to the proper thread and close this one, thanks.

OK I am looking to get the mats to craft a set of Destroyer Weapons for my HoM. I know where to get the rest of mats but not sure where or how to get the Onyx or Diamonds as I have never had either one drop for me.

Can I craft a Diamond or trade for it..like fur and
Is there a spot or a build that is best for killing whatever drops these things?

They are at the rare material trader for like 500g. They only drop from Hidden Treasures and Eotn end dungeon chests.

Doing the Voltaic Spear farm I ended up with about 80 of each....still have a bunch for whenever I get around to crafting those...

Onyx Gemstones are are from:
- Reward Chests and Hidden Treasure chests in dungeons.
- Quest reward for completing In the Service of Revenge
- As a reward for completing all quests in The Fissure of Woe at the Temple of War, inside the Chest of Woe.
- Rare Material Traders

Diamonds:
- Can be obtained by trading 7 Trade Contracts with a Vabbi Trade Official in The Kodash Bazaar.
- Can be found in high-end Treasure chests.
- Can be found in Hidden Treasure chests in Eye of the North by using [[Light of Deldrimor].
- Can be salvaged out of some Elonian drops.Jeweled Daggers, Diamond Aegis, Diamond Djinn Essence, and Iridescent Aegis
- The Coffer of Whispers has been known to sometimes give 5 Diamonds.
- Dungeon reward chests in Eye of the North.
- Reward for quest Attack on Jalis's Camp in Eye of the North.
- Can very rarely be dropped from every creature that can drop crafting materials, most commonly in the Underworld, and the Fissure of Woe.

From Guild Wars Wiki...
They are crafted by Balthor Coalforge in Slavers' Exile for: 10 Diamond(s), 10 Onyx Gemstone(s), 100 Iron Ingot(s), 250 Granite Slab(s) and 5 Platinum.

You'll only need 110 of each to craft a set.

i have 3.5 stacks of onyx and 5.25 stacks of diamonds, almost entirely from VSF except for a stack of onyx and a stack of diamonds as i am a total moron and bought them before EoTN came out because i followed the rumors that said diamonds were going to be highly coveted turned out i lost LOTS OF MONEIZ. anyway, do vsf and you'll have full racks of destroyer weapons in HoM for every character, in no time.

You don't need to fill the HoM on all of your characters. There will be an update in April that is supposed to allow your HoM to be account-wide. If your goal is to transfer achievements from GW 1 to GW 2, then you only need one set of Destroyer weapons to do that. I'd wait for the April update before you go nuts at the rare material trader.

yes yes, i know this now, but i did this when eotn first came out, because like i said, i invested a lot of plat in diamonds and onyx thinking they were going to skyrocket in price, not plummet and mean the death of my wealth. and nobody wants to buy destroyer weapons because they're so easy to get for yourself, so i just filled my halls and heroes.

11(weapons per HoM)*20(Onyx+diamonds per weapon)=220(Onyx/Diamonds per HoM)*8(Chars)=1760(onyx/Diamond per Char's HoM)*.5k(cost of Onyx)*.5k(cost of Diamond)=1760k

5 mil? Peeps need to get better at math.

Not that I'll complain once those prices go up, but may I ask why you wish to fill the HoM on every character when the HoM will go account based in about 1 month?

I understand filling one char with D-weapons, and another with Tormented *which is what I am doing, done with Destroyer*, but filling 8 with destroyer is now pointless and a waste of money.

What this user said. It should only be something like 3 weeks until the update is released, wait until then because you'll only need 1 set of weapons instead of 8. If you plan on actually using them on the 8 toons, you should still wait to see how it'll be implemented, unless you want each of them to have their own set for some reason even though they'll only use a couple of weapons, they might be able to be used by all the charcters on the account even though they were customized to one.

This or VSF (Voltaic Spear Farm) ive worked up 40 of each from 2 days of doing it. Not once a voltaic spear though
