Default Paragon UW solo?

Hey all

I've recently seen a youtube video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5RKTfLuGZw&fmt=18, where there are some scattered clips of a paragon going solo against aatxes, grasping darknesses, smitters, terorrweb dryders and more. Unsing only 5 skills (except in 0:15, where she seems to have paked up 3 PvE-only skills on the free slots). I find the whole thing to be very impressive, and I can't even figure out the basics of what is going on there, so I thought you could help me out.

Lucky enough, the vid shows no interface for the other professions except for the paragon, so we can have a peak at what she is running. Even though the compression completely screws up the details, I've been able to figure out a number of things.

Immunity methods: even though none of her 5 skills seem to be from the monk line, you can see she is consistently enchanted (0:30, 1:00, 2:02), she is healed at enchant expiration (blue numbers going up at 1:02, although they can't be clearly read the red bar goes up) and recieves zero (1:51) or -5 (1:06, 1:59) damage at some points. This is suggesting some 55 or 105 set up, but the bar doesn't really look like it and there are also some events that suggest this is not the case: at some points she gets hit for big numbers (95 from an aatxe at 1:05 and 50 from immolate at 2:20, and her red bar barely goes down), consistently survive burning (1:39, 2:06, 2:14) and her energy is going down while not enchanted and not fighting (0:30, 1:02, 1:37, 1:51) and seems to go up when fighting. The big number of what seem to be monk skill animations really made me think of a bonder, but only one health bar can be seen at the party pannel throughout the runs.

Damage methods: she seems to be using a sword as her main attack weapon (1:05, 2:11), although sometimes she also uses a spear (2:21). This makes me think that she's using some adrenaline based skills, the recharge progession of her skills seems to indicate this as well. She is able to attack multiple targets at once, action which seems to be preceded by a chant-like animation of about 1 second (a triple 61 damage against aatxes at 1:07), even though some times the animation seems to be cutted from the video (two 75 damage at 1:38 and again at 2:13).

Any thoughts on this?

I'm not sure, but I think it was Ursan before the nerf. In other words, your energy had a constant degen, and zealous weapons didn't add to that, but did gain you energy for hits. I never saw a party menu, and maybe my computer just sucks, but I couldn't see the video well enough to see any enchantments happening.

"Alone" and "Paragon" go together like chocolate and hot sauce.

Yeah, I didn't realize that she was indeed running the before-nerf Ursan. It's a shame, I thought that some geniously combined paragon skills could make this happen, but in the end it was just an old gimmick. Thanks for the help anyway.

Should use [[The Power is Yours] on that bar instead of [[Go for the Eye] You'll get more triggers for the refrains and slightly more energy since TPiY has no recharge. I miss the original [[Go for the Eyes].

edit: Fixed your gwbbcode. A 55 Paragon can be done, but it is slow. [[Blazing Finale] and [[Finale of Restoration] could combine with [[The Power is Yours] as a trigger, and you can burninate everything adjacent to you. You could probably drop [[Mending] and the points in Healing.

Edit again: I hate you, OP, for linking to a video with "Toxic," by Britney Spears. J/K. My ire is directed at Ms. Spears for that combination of dumb lyrics, shrill screeching, and a rhythmic, pounding assault on the senses.

It is even worse than Britney's "Toxic", the guy who made the video also managed to trash a Linkin Park song in the meanwhile. But I think the music combination fits the Ursan spirit perfectly xD

On topic: I know the 55 is doable with every profession, but I was expecting to discover an alternative valid method. Damn you Ursan Blessing!

How would you do damage other than just letting them burn with that build?
