Default Hard Mode Raptor Farming

I just beat GWEN and now I'm ready to raptor farm in HM. I'm a perma-sliver and I can't seem to keep the enemies aggro'd. as soon as i shoot one with my wand another leaves. I did this perfectly in normal mode countless times. And tricks to keeping them near me?

The only one that matters is the broodmother. You want to wand her while sliver is targeting her. Sliver damages one at a time, and even when they kite, they still come back.

But to answer your question, use the walls and rocks like a good tank should. Just make sure you take down the momma early.

I used to have the same problem farming with my w/e

As Theoden said, u always target the broodmother boss first. I sometimes stop right before the cave just so i can find her, as soon as u go perma SF, keep targeting her and 99% of the time she will go down first.

The rest should be easy...as long as u keep SF on they can't kill u even if they break aggro :/

I can take the broodmother down, it's the rest that scatter. As far as sliver, it seems to want to hit whoever it wants instead of whoever I target. What's up with that? In nm i could do it perfect.

Should just be aiming for the 25-32 dead grouping. I've found the sliver/ural's hammer/ebon/AoS build works perfect for doing ~30 everytime and able to /resign and do runs pretty damn fast.

like it was said, ignore scatter. place yourselves near big rock (behind you can see broodmother group) - it's just in time where SF is ending. kill ass many as you can (everytime you got skills recharge from air of superiority, recast sf and sliver when sliver is ending) after main killing just execute those who are not fleeing (you can shoot some of them) and resign. no point in killing all of them, better spend this time in running again.

use melee caster weapons, better for holding aggro and just swing at them when ur not casting. i've never had any scatter in HM or NM

by simply wanding the target that kites away draws it right back in for more sliver damage.

instead of wanding them how about NOT causing them to scatter at all?

Group them so their left side is touching a wall or rock. NONE will scatter and sliver can kill them all. When their HP goes down they will stop attacking but will stay with the group. This works with all melee mobs. I thought that was common sense with farming melee?

Watch the video and see that he groups them so their left side is touching and they don't scatter.

Put wall on their left/your right. Not the easiest to do with A/E if you pull all 34, but doable if: you sacrifice about 5 seconds or so slowing down/baby step and recasting perma sequence prior to boss aggro. A/E raptor is very slow, FWIW. I have noticed this wanding aggro problem only on my A/E, who does 25 damage with [ebon battle standard of honor][sliver armor][by urals hammer]. My E/Me does 55 damage a pop, and clears it in around 1:20. My W/N kills all 33-34 MOB instantly, in 0:50, but is more sensitive to server-side lag...

Latest FotM for me is bringing a paragon runner. This can give you permanent 33% speed for entire run from zone entry to mob kill (plus frees up skill slot previously used for a 50-80% of the time 25-33% run speed). This saves around 5-10 seconds on a run alone...

Got a new A/D build that's around 1:20, kills all 33 raptors in HM (not boss). Remember, for event drops, more MOBs in less time is the best. I'm sure someone out there lurking could figure out 3 more skills to kill off the boss as well...

As Coney said. Casf 1. SF at entrance, agro two baby groups, cast 2. SF, run to agro Boss group and run to the rock (as in the screenshot).

The radar blue dots are baby groups and the last is boss group. Just before agroing boss group recast SF. The only "biggie" is where baby groups intersect where you can get stuck. You only need to keep raptors so that they are on you right side, blocked by a wall/rock/bone.

My run takes 2:30-3:00min (if there are 3 raptors left, just resign, takes too much time).

As for the build - no need for Shadow Refuge, Sliver in 95% hits boss first.
[build prof=A/E sha=12+1+3 ear=12][Glyph of Swiftness][Deadly Paradox][Shadow Form][Air of Superiority][Glyph of Lesser Energy][Ebon Battle Standard of Honor][Sliver Armor][By ural's hammer][/build]

Edit: hmm, might clear two things, I'm stacking on Elite Sin Tomes and maxing my Asura title. I don't care about holiday drops that much, so I preffer to kill boss too at a cost of some time.

OK, modifed my A/D build to an A/Ra build, so close now...
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10366698

For non-boss I think the original A/D build using [mindbender] for 1/2 cast time, then [light of deldrimor][eternal] in the delay would significantly speed things up (that delay can only be about 1 second total)...
EDIT - non-boss, this one works flawlessly, and gives perma buff for looting:
[build=OQKjgxmM6Mm4bMPeHDAAAAgtDA]
[build=Owpi8xrMpz4W2DedJGGwgABXCA]
FWIW, I'm mostly interested in getting asura rank to max on my assn, thus a preference for a HM 1:20 +boss build, otherwise same as 2:30-3:00 [sliver armor] build...
