hi, i was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on farming with my mesmer. the problem im having is this. all of the builds/spots iv been able to find need skills only avalible in prophecies. unfortunatly i only have factions and nightfall which means i cant 55 and i cant use the builds in dopefish's guide http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10125716.

does anyone have any solo mesmer builds using only factions and nightfall skills?

ps. i also only have hm in factions

i can of course get to 55hp but the problem is energy managment

i cannot use [essence bond] or [balthazar's spirit] so all i have is [energy tap]. with this i have enough energy to stay "invincible" against a mob of 3 in hm but as soon as i add anything to deal damage i cant keep the damage reduction up any more.

What are you using for damage or wanting to use for damage?

Could also try [Ether Signet]

or maybe use one of the mantra's if you know you will be getting earth,fire, etc...damage.

[Signet of Illusions][Sliver Armor][Stoneflesh Aura][Stone Striker][Mantra of Earth][Armor of Earth][No Skill][No Skill]

Eles do this a little better but, if you must farm on your mez...

Heck [Stone Striker][Mantra of Earth] alone will get you pretty far. You can even drop striker and just run a particular mantra depending on the mobs.

ok, i tryed [ether signet] but the recharge time makes it only semi usefull. i did however discover [lyssa's aura] on the wiki.
i would like to damage with [ether nightmare][arcane echo][cry of pain].
this just about works in nm like this [lyssa's aura][protective spirit][healing breeze][ether nightmare][cry of pain][energy tap][ether signet].
and this [lyssa's aura][protective spirit][healing breeze][clumsiness][energy tap][ether signet] holds up in hm *just*.
energy is still a problem. [clumsiness] dosnt deal much damage same as [ether nightmare]with[cry of pain].
the damage chain would be [ether nightmare][arcane echo][cry of pain][cry of pain] but this chain uses up 45 energy in a matter of seconds
