Pretty simple really, don't spam your AoE attacks, make sure you have enough energy. It's alot faster than Sliver spam, and I haven't tried it out in HM yet, but it will probably take a bit longer, but work.
I've been using a somewhat similar build with which i can clear the chaos planes in under 40 mins in hard mode. here's the build:

[skill]Glyph of Swiftness[/skill][skill]Deadly Paradox[/skill][skill]Shadow Form[/skill][skill]Glowing Gaze[/skill][skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Mark of Rodgort[/skill][skill]Dark Escape[/skill][skill]Flame Djinn's Haste[/skill]

Usage:
1) Keep sf up
2) Aggro as many enemies as you can; pull them in choke points so you can spam fdh at recharge without them scattering; for the location of the choke points I would recommend reading the excelent guide that teotuf has put together for A/Me UW farming, (http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10286824) or you can find you'r own. Basically in chaos planes any sharp edge of the lanscape will do.
2) Cast fire attune, mark of rodgort and then spam glowing gaze to keep energy up; cast flame djin's haste on recharge
3) use a fire staff to attack the target and keep it burning;

Using this build i can clear the labyrinth but it takes too long so i just kill the graspings and then head to chaos planes. If done properly i get there in under 5 minutes and clear the area in ~30-35 minutes in HM, and I never run out of energy. The mindblades die in under two minutes so most of my time is spent aggroing and pulling them in choke points, because i won't settle for less than 3 groups at the time. And also is so much fun when you see ~30 mindblade die all at once . If you feel like it you can clear the bone pits but i found it too slow and not really worth it.

They don't target you, they Target the dwarven soldier so just watch up for it in the beginning.

Is there a practical use for Dark Escape or should Dash be used to avoid traps?

I know teotuf, there are different skills who can do this, but he just said "go around them". Without changing skills etc.
And THATS impossible.

i used dark escape because in hard mode the patrol of charged blackneses allwasy catches up to me and i neded another speed buff besides fdh; also let's say that they do catch up with u dark escape can help by alleviating some of the damage that comes from shock (over 100 in hm), keeping you alive longer so that you can eventualy escape them.
dash might also do the trick but i haven't tried it.

Most likely. They try to flee a lot in HM with Sliver Armor so I assume they'd flee from Lava Font.

I use the Phoenix/Inferno build and I think it's the best version yet. Easy to use, rarely any energy issues, quick and profitable. It's in NM but ecto drops seem to be the same in NM and HM.

But with 12 Shadow Arts I'm able to get 30 sec shadow form (W/ 20% enchant) so wouldn't Deadly Paradox reduce it by 20 seconds (making it 40 recharge) then I have Glyph of Swiftness which would allow me to keep it up constantly?

Skill recharge is capped at 50% as a balance mechanism. As a result, Shadow Form will always take 30 seconds to recharge. 30 second recharge + 30 second duration means that you'll have a delay of 1/2 second before re-casting because of the activation time of Shadow Form. You're likely to die in that half second.

For UW, would this work you think? I'm at work, so cant really test, and an eager to know. :/

(Forgive not using the codes)

Deadly Paradox
Shadow Form
Glyph of Elemental Power
Battle Standard of Honor
Intensity
Lava Font
Dark Escape
Dash/Shadow Refuge/Some form of Regen for Charged Blacknesses etc

I know most like sliver, but with several enemies dieing, wouldn't Font be a good alternative? And, since I don't have swiftness on the list, I am assuming that with Celerity, it'll take swiftnesses job.

I have tried to do it with a build like that, in NM i think it should work but Hard mode, the foes in the chamber run away like hell from lava font, EVEN if you have them in the choking points, somehow they can escape when using lava font.

BTw, i dont know if spectres scatter too

Neat builds! If I wanted to kill off the obsidians (mostly just to get an unhurried feel for the area) would anyone have a hero build that would work well?

Zealots fire is problematic.

I've been able to kill them in NM in small groups using Coldfires to power sliver armor, but you have to spam a heal.

I assume HM would be impossible.

Went ahead and tried Dash, it did the trick, and it helped with traps.

IDS Run is possible. I did it first try pretty easily. It's probably smarter to bring Feigned Neutrality over Dash though because Ignite Arrows can be a bit of an annoyance while running and if you want to kill the Ice Beast you have to deal with SoJ and Frozen Burst.
