Default W/Me Uw Solo V2 [axe+sword] - Mass Aggro Fun (9-12min Run)

Video 1 - Old and Laggy XD but still a 9 Min run.

Video 2- Complicated 11min Run

Before You Start
Are you experianced in Uw farming?
If not please consider trying the W/Rt build.
Can you afford this?
Uw is part gamble, you will have bad runs and wasted entry fee's due to lag and other things.

The W/Me Farming Build
After alot of test runs i have decided to post this "W/Me Uw Solo Build". This build is mainly targeted towards more experianced uw farmers who want a break from the old button smashing builds. This is build is fast, effective and quite fun as you acauly get to chop those smites up

__________________________________________________ ______________________________________________
Required Equipment
  • Max Armor with Knights Insignias and Suprior Absorbtion.
  • Helm with +1 Axe/Sword Mastery.
  • 16 Armor Strength Required Sheild with -2dmg (stance).
  • Zealous Axe/Sword (+15dmg while stance) of enchanting
Optional Equipment
  • Sword/Axe/Spear with +hp uncondtional for running away.
  • Icy/Fiery/Ebon/Shocking Axe/Sword of Shelter
Useful Collector Weapons

SheildsAxesSwordsBasics Of The Build:
  • Activate Quest - Try not to agro - if you do - sprint to far corner.
  • Pull with sprint and graspings will follow while the aaxtes dont (not perfect)
  • For the graspings use bonneti's and visages.
  • For Smites Use Physical Resistance and Visages (need Zealous)
  • Remember Keep your eyes on your radar and use physical resistance when gathering smites.
  • Do not use Bonneti's when fighting smites.

Reccomended Greens:

Arrahhsh's Aegis
Strongroot's Shelter
Victo's Bulwark
Destructive Shield
__________________________________________________ ______________________________________________

Axe:
This version is the fastest and best for mass agro but may be tricky when dealing with small numbers and energy.

Major Sword Mastery & Minor Strength

Axe Mastery: 15
Strength: 9 (if you sheild has a high req, share with weapon attributes)
Illusion Magic: 9
Inpiration: 5

[skill]Triple Chop[/skill][skill]Cyclone Axe[/skill][skill]Sympathetic Visage[/skill][skill]Ancestor's Visage[/skill][skill]Physical Resistance[/skill][skill]Sprint[/skill][skill]Bonetti's Defense[/skill]

Physical Resistance - Gather -Stop in Safe Spot -> Visage:

[skill]Cyclone Axe[/skill][skill]Triple Chop[/skill][skill]Cyclone Axe[/skill]

This Combo should work in one visage if you are taking on more than 6 smites.
__________________________________________________ ______________________________________________

Sword:
This version is slightly slower than the axe version but is far safer for taking on smaller numbers with great energy gain with hundred blades.

Major Sword Mastery & Minor Strength

Sword Mastery: 15
Strength: 9 (if you sheild has a high req, share with weapon attributes)
Illusion Magic: 9
Inpiration: 5

[skill]Hundred Blades[/skill][skill]Sun And Moon Slash[/skill][skill]Sympathetic Visage[/skill][skill]Ancestor's Visage[/skill][skill]Physical Resistance[/skill][skill]Sprint[/skill][skill]Bonetti's Defense[/skill]

Physical Resistance - Gather -Stop in Safe Spot -> Visage -> Hundred Blades -> Whirling Attack -> Sun and Moon Slash - Visage - Repeat this:

[skill]Hundred Blades[/skill][skill]Sun And Moon Slash[/skill]

This combo works great with energy on small groups.

Safe Spots are typically locations where you can rest/stay out of 'aggro' range. They are ofcourse many other locations where you are "safe" but these are the main action points.

Possible Smite Spawns are areas in which Smite Crawlers possibly spawn. They ofcourse change, but these locations are ones I tend to find them.

Notes-
-Whilst at the Statue of Grenth (?) you can also aggro the Smite Crawlers at the base of the knoll (4th from the left in above picture)
-I did also put the Coldfire Patrol Routes in, but the map just looked scribbly
-Maybe I should have used Photoshop instead of paint...

Anyway Some general warnings :

1 - After the first smite group, ocasionally you may find yourself surprised by a group of smites wich my friend nicknamed them "The cannibals", those smites start attacking the other smites and/or coldfires, wait a few seconds after the battle is over so you farm whats left, because they might still have SoJ on. Also if the battle beforementioned happens it may ocasionally make a group of coldfires become stationary, wich in some cases may cut your run by half, but dont /resign yet, aggro and break it off them and they will return to their original patrol route.

2 - Breaking the coldfire's aggro : dont enrage/sprint when you're slowed, bring a cold shield to switch, hide behind walls and mostly importantly sidestep. The best way for me that I found to sidestep shard storms ( wich are projectiles ) is to sidestep 1 side during the skill activation and sidestep to the other side when the skill activation bar gets full. If you draw them away enough from their original location they will cease to chase you. That really saved me many k's

3 - "lag aggroing coldfires" : that might have happened to you already, especially if you like to chase the coldfires closely while getting to the safe spots, it looks like the coldfires aggro even with you not touching them with your bubble. What really happens is that when one of those Nightmare thingies pop up close to a coldfire group, that nightmare kind of become part of the group "telling" the coldfires you're there getting their precious ectos. Just unaggro the coldfires.

Excellent update on the older build, this is much faster. The only thing is, couldn't the older one kill the aaxtes as well? Think this one could?

Regardless, nice job.

And way to be positive there bowstring. (>.<)

Nice builds but W/Rt is still the fastest. Rt/W is trickier due to the longer cast time on Spirit Rift + interrupts, and can only pull 1 group at a time, 2 sometimes, without serious risk.

I have still got my record of a 12 minute W/Rt run. Anyways, still nice to see people trying new stuff :]

In my opinion this run isn't really worth it, near enough every other run I get 'caught' on the aatxe or grasping as I run past towards the smites.

When I say 'caught' I mean that the server seems to think that the enemies have surrounded me and are pounding on my face, but clientside I can still run around, but I'm taking damage from the mob which I'm APPARANTLEY caught on even though I ran past. There's no way to recover from this and depending on how fast I die, the client may update and teleport me back to where it thinks I was, which basically leaves me thinking...

Probably sounds awfully confusing and you wont have a clue what I'm on about unless it's happend to you before.

used to happen to me all the time on my ele. just wait until you can run past them without ever getting close to them, and it won't happen. don't try to run through that small tunnel leading out of the chamber when aatxes are in it. that is a guaranteed rubberband death as i have found out many times

Just tried your build to have some fun. But I modified it a bit. I've used Birthday Cupcake as speed boost (getting sweet title anyway), so i had 2 free slots on skillbar, i took dismember+epidemic instead of sprint+enraging. Also wasn't using Endurance as elite, took Triple Chop instead. With constant deep wound and cyclone axe/whirling/triple chop spam smites drop really fast. Zealus weapon is a must for fighting smites. My variant is really fast, but works only with Cupcakes.

Pretty common, but very easy to overcome. I farm alot, so i have become accustomed to automatically sub-consciously making a plan of where I might get trapped, then running a different way to be sure. Try never hugging a wall if a gap is thin and wait for the patrol to come up the corridor on the right, then start back, before you begin to run.

Also doable with Hammers.

Warrior/Mesmer builds are inferior.
