Default Is 55 HM Farming even worth it?

The title says it all. I've been absent for a couple months, and I was wondering if 55 farms (usually necro/mo, etc) are even worth it? Are there farms that would be more worth doing? All I see now is a bunch of dungeon builds.

Well i haven't 55 farmed since the hydra. But just guessing here, but i think theres much more efficient builds, such as the A/E bomber.

Though I havent used it in awhile, mostly because i stopped farming altogether, Mo/D outside the Astralauim really good for gold drops. Other then that 55 places arent that great, the UW builds i found to difficult but are probally your best option. Faster builds have taken its place, but i do see the occasionaly 55/ss duo still going

Check the Big Necro Guide by Fuzzy Taco. It has a lot of places where you can go with a 55 Necro.

All depends on what you farm. I always choose between builds for a certain farming spot, not spots for a certain build, since every build has its weakness. ie. 55(low health), 600(hero loot), A/E (energy), E/Me(snare), etc

If your talking about dual uw with an ss, hm is definetly not worth it. 600/smite is the best dual uw build of that type. However, 55+ss is still highly effective in nm, as long as you dont use a beginner 55 build, you actually need a 105 build, based on shield of absoprtion, so you can tank any sized group. I do this every once and a while, a good 105 is comparible to a perma when it comes to dual uw runs, and if your fast and tank huge groups, you can fit several uw runs into the time it would take 600/smite to do one.

Other than that, 55 HM solo works well outside augury rock for hydras, and ice tooth cave, for minotaurs.

55 is still one of the best ways to boss farm (necro or monk)

55hp don't work very well anymore. Due to the mellee scatter it's just too slow. Only farming bosses with it might be worth it. Also farming lost city of Fahranur gets you a fair amount of golds, bones and glittering dust, and the all so once so fameous, now so worthless deadswords.

I still farm Droks area with 55, I'll post my build tomorrow. It's very fast, no running away. NM though.

I occasionally blast Senkii and his crew in Boreas Seabed with a 55 Build.
But the practicality of it has been overshadowed by more powerful and profitable farms.

If you wish to know the requirements.
You need the quest "The Halcyon Job" active.
[Personally I used to do this with a necro. So the build is partial to that.]
16 Curses 12 Protection.
The Code: OANEQiFH/8sSur1j8weAgIP0HA
The skills are: Protective Spirit, Shielding Hands, Shield of Absorption, Spiteful Spirit, Insidious Parasite, Blessed Aura, Balthazar's Spirit, and Escence Bond.

Keep Shielding hands or Shield of Absorption up at all times. :]
Lack of healing makes you very vulnerable, but they quickly outdamage Mending and healing breeze. :/
It can be done in both normal and hard mode.
Hard is easier to deal with to me.
Decent drop rate.
A few gold items, runes and such. :]
